I have jumped both the PDR and Optimum in the 143 at 1.4. Have taken them both terminal. I much preferred the Optimum. When I bought my new container, could have gone with the OP143 to have a smaller rig. Decided to go with the 160 for the reason mentioned above, more fabric. The Optimum would be my advice for anyone when deciding what reserve to buy. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

You'll be fine. Better answer is to not have two out. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

*** I've only got the 3... but this jerk keeps rubbing it in my face that he's knee deep in class 7's. Ski, that's not true. I'm only ankle deep. And if I don't count the walking foot I have loaned out, I only have 6 machines right now. Told you I'm not addicted. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. Lee, not for a class 7. I read the reviews on the servos and decided for the minor difference in price, going 3/4 made sense. You only need the power when you NEED the power. And Jerry, I know I have more machines than 'ski. And that is after selling a couple machines. Have 2 class 7s in my garage right now. One complete and one just the head only. Both in gorgeous condition. Putting them up for sale soon. Really, I'm not addicted. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Is it wrong when you are excited to have a delivery, and it is not a container, main, reserve, AAD, helmet or wingsuit? 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Landing out... A Farmer McUpset story
monkycndo replied to BigMikeH77's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Fighting a Farmer McNasty is a losing battle. Always better to try and get to a point where you can get off the property as soon as possible with minimal damage or recover cut away gear. If climbing over the fence is the problem, ask if you can install a ladder of some type that will prevent damage to the fence. I know of a DZ that the cost to come on the property to recover gear is 2 cases of beer. Luckily, the owner likes cheap beer. It is always in the best interest to try and keep neighbors happy. The next time there is a DZ BBQ, invite all the neighbors. Once they realize they can get free food and beer, they might not be such a pain in the ass. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. In college, we had 7 guys renting rooms from the property owner. Just one frig. Each person had their own stuff. With each person having their own half/full gallon of milk-butter-catchup-etc, the frig had almost no room for anything else. Tried sharing the staples so there would be room for other stuff, but the other fuckers never ponied up when it was their turn to buy. Finally bought my own frig and paid for the extra electricity on the bill. When one of the guys destroyed my good knife to chop what must have been a boat chain, all of my kitchen stuff got locked up. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. Did a CRW camp at Perris as a brand new pup. Flew with Ken and learned so much. Such a generous and all around nice guy. He will be missed.

John, go play in the other forums. Leave the WS forum for we birds that love to argue and create drama of our own kind. We don't need your bullshit here. If you hate this site so much why don't you just leave. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

Brent, I do believe the Stiletto and Spectre were both introduced before 2000. Are those canopies not safe to jump? I agree that there are lots of newer canopies that have soft snivelly openings. But making a blanket statement like pre-Y2K canopies shouldn't be jumped isn't valid. I have made 900+ jumps on different sized Sabres and my hardest opening was on a post Y2K canopy known for soft snivelly openings. A canopy that opens quicker can be an asset, like when flying a WS. I say be educated and learn from the past. Then let folks decide. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

On November 13th of last year, I made this post. At that time, there was less than 40,000 posts. In the less than 6 months later, there are now 43,114 posts. That is over 17 posts each and every day. I can not fathom what there is to talk about. And the same 10 people belabor the same crap, often quoting and requoting the 90 page tome someone felt was necessary to contribute in the first place and has been hashed/bashed to death. Talk about wasted bandwidth. I enjoy reading interesting tales of the early jumpers. You know, actual skydiving history/trivia. On the off chance there might be some real history, you have to wade past the behemoth of DB Cooper. I agree, give the Cooperites their own section that can be hidden. Make them feel special that they get their own dedicated section. All while keeping those hits to the site that generate revenue for the site. HH and Meso, for the love of all that is holy in skydiving(beer and stories around the bonfire), please consider this plea. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. SkyDance has a pocket on the upper arm of the student jump suit. It is easily accessible to check if it is on during in plane student gear check. It is out of the way during the jump/deployment. Once the student has their hands in the toggles, the radio is at ear level. YMMV. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

I played around with that design. I didn't like the projection on the outside or the clip on the inside. Depending on how tight the helmet fits at your jaw, the location of the clip/pin could poke into your jaw if you get a good bump on your melon. If you do actually have to cut the helmet away, you will have to replace the pin/spring/etc. I have been slowly working on a system that replaces the existing female chin clip and strap with one that has had the strap modified. The strap separates when you pull the cable release. As long as you don't drop the cable, all parts stay connected to the helmet. Been a bit busy at work so my time to improve my prototype has been limited. Hopefully will soon have a pre-production prototype for some folks to try before I gear up and make them. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

I spoke with Max today and he is a little ways away from doing his FFC. Between know and when he is ready, we will get him a suit that is appropriate. I'm thinking a straight jacket. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
