    The typical liberal down play. Comparing associations between an unapologetic domestic terrorist with a law abiding good ole boy. Nice play. I think a person's associations and choices in who they surround themselves with are immensely important. In most situations I would agree with you on the guilt-by-association being over done. However, it's not an isolated occurrence with Obama. You can only ignore his choice of associations for so long.     Thanks Marg. I always enjoy your posts. I think the announcement of his signature was after the market close. Either way, it's not supposed to be a quick fix. The market will recover but it's going to take some patience. I think the freeing up of credit will get the gears turning and the new administration taking office will have a general boost to the economy. -------------------------------------------------- Stay positive and love your life.

    I can see that argument, although I disagree. My point is that you use your view to oppose Palin while Biden said the same thing. It sure as shit isn't me. Joe Normal. Joe 10-pounds-overweight.     Actually she said everyone should be treated equally and their administration would never tell people they can't visit loved ones in the hospital or choose tha lifestyle. But, she would not support changing the legal definition of marriage. Then Biden agreed. Then Palin agreed with him agreeing. I also think she could've done better. Has it occurred to anyone that maybe that's just how she talks and it's not a cutesy show? I've got friends that sound like they're friggin reatahhded. Anyhow, I hear that when those 2 happless kids get married, Cheney will be holding the shotgun. Britol was showcased by the media and dems trying to embarrass her family, not by her mother.     How so? Because the baby has been seen with the family? I saw it at the RNC and tonight. That's it. Or is it because she mentioned on seperate occassions that she has a place in her heart for parents of special needs kids? I don't see anything wrong with that. Nor have I seen the baby paraded around or put in campaign ads. Make whatever poor parenting claims you want, but I whole heartedly disagree that she has 'shamelessly showcased her down syndrome baby.' -------------------------------------------------- Stay positive and love your life.

    I saw that, too. I was excited to see the explosion but he did well to contain it. Yeah, she definitely rambled several times but finished the full 90 minutes without falling apart. Agreed 2 for 2 so far. Of course not. And I can definitely picture the people you're talking about. You just want to slap them to see if they'll cry or smile. However, I don't get that feeling from Palin and I think it's funny how a seemingly happy person from a fairly typical family raises eyebrows. That's not a shot at you, the pundits have hinted at that too. With all the stereotypical Washington old dudes saying the same thing day in and day out, people feel uncomfortable with the soccer-mom.     Anyone have something interesting to say? An analyst on CNN summed it up nicely, I think. He said Biden needed to go after McCain and attach him to the status quo and he did that. Palin needed to prove herself as something more than a gaffe deer in the headlights and she also accomplished that. Republicans will think Palin did great. Dems will think Biden did the same. Except dems on here. They'll make some sad attempts at jokes about her smile and accent. -------------------------------------------------- Stay positive and love your life.

    I've seen several polls that have Biden picked to win by about 5%. I find it interesting the public only has Palin down 5% to a 20+yr veteran of the senate.     Yes, the Republicans made her break the law. It's the Republicans' fault she's being confronted. It's the Republican smear machine that secretly gave this money to her husband in an elaborate frame.
