  1. Very interesting. I was born in Guthrie, OK (1951).
  2. I also jumped this fantastic airplane (Mike Mullins') in 1989 at Couch Freaks and 1990 at Grandpa's Jumpfest in Albert Lea, MN.

  4. Congratulations! The first rig I owned was a Wonderhog back in the day. Mike Anderson D-9493
  5. I recently got the Crossfire 2 after hearing many good things about it from other Crossfire 2 owners. They were right! I really love the soft, on-heading openings. The flight characteristics and landings are good also.
  6. I got mine in November and I have been very happy with it. It's very comfortable. I got it with the magnetic riser covers it works well so far. Construction looks to be solid and I think it will last a long time.
  7. ***vimeo.com/56653572 Any others that have made similar videos. Very nice! Most are cute ladies. You must have seniority at your DZ. (LOL)
  8. I was on a jump like this a long time ago at my home DZ. It was a level 1 or 2 jump out of a Porter and I was main side jm. My partner forgot to take off his seat belt. The student made such a smooth exit that we really didn't miss him. He swooped down to us at the bottom end of the jump and when I caught a glimpse of him coming in, my first thought was "Where the hell did that guy come from?". It made for a good laugh later on.
  9. How about putting a front floater handle on it for Bruce! (LOL)
  10. One of my favorites was Mike Mullin's Helio Stallion back in the day. I haven't seen one in a very long time.
  11. I am sorry to hear about this. I remember as being a class act. I have friends who are still jumping Zute Suits after all these years.
  12. This is an interesting topic and made me think about the best skydiver I knew but never had a chance to jump with. That would be Jack "Wildman" Wallace. He was jumping in E. Troy, WI when I started and he was a 1st class relative worker when many were still trying to figure it out. I missed jumping with him because he had a terrible work injury that left him paralyzed. I hope he's alive and well.
  13. That has got to be one of the scariest skydiving photos I've ever seen.
  14. Nick Furchner is a dentist who skydives. I believe he's in Reno, Nevada.
  15. From an old Jump Shack ad: At 2,000 feet, the last thing you need is pretty gear!
  16. What's the word? Did they set a new record?
  17. Hey! I remember having one of those shirts back in the day!
  18. Watching that reminds me of an incident many years ago when I was on a demo team with 3 friends. We had a demo into mall parking lot with a tight landing area on a hot, no-wind day. One my buddies did a low turn and slammed into the side of a Winnebago RV. Luckily, he wasn't hurt too bad. It earned him the well-deserved nickname Wile E. Coyote!
  19. I remember this like it was yesterday. My number was 348. My best friend's number was 1. Fortunately for him, an injury from his high school football days saved his bacon.
  20. I remember making 6 static lines. It would have been 5 but I ran out of daylight before I could make my hop-n-pop. This caused me to have to make an extra static line the next time I came back.
  21. It's been some time since I've seen anything about the Sensei canopy. What can you owners tell me about it's performance?
  22. With AAD: Hope for the best. Without AAD: Walk into the light.
  23. About two years ago, I was called for jury duty in S. Florida (Broward County) and actually looked forward to it. When the selection process began, I was apalled. After hearing people practically come right out and say that they would say anything to get out of it, I hope that I am NEVER in a position where my fate has to be decided by a jury.
  24. Any news, pictures, or video of the POPS record attempts?
