  1. If all the males in a particular town either always shave their own faces or are always shaved by the resident male barber, but never both, who shaves the barber? Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  2. See previous posts on "strawman" How is my comment a strawman? If an omnipotent diety wants to give free will to his creation -- he can't?? Explain why, please. If god is eternal and all knowing, he knows our futures. If he knows our futures, then our free will is but an illusion, as we have a destiny to fulfill. If we have free will, then the information of our future does not exist because we have not yet made the relevant choices. If the information does not exist, God cannot know our futures, implying God is not actually all knowing. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  3. See, i don't buy this. The natural laws that God created like gravity and two things can't occupy the same place at the same time dictates accidents wil happen. My personal experience says God seldom intervenes into HIs natural laws. To say all things are God's will is not correct theologically. If God intervenes, then we can logically assume he is not all powerful, otherwise he would have gotten the natural laws correct to start with, and there would have been no need to intervene. Likewise, if all things are not God's will, then God is logically not all knowing and all powerful. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  4. Evolution does not claim that your or my dad were apes. Evolution says we share a common ancestor with apes. What you are terming micro evolution is the same as what you are terming macro evolution. The difference is the timeframe of observation, not the process. What is a soul? Math tutoring available. 5. There is no micro evolution or macro evolution, only evolution. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
  6. Okay. I'll play. Assumption 1: God is all powerful and all knowing. Assumption 2: God is eternal. God created Satan. Since God is all powerful and all knowing, He is incapable of creating anything imperfectly, that is, in a way different than intended. Therefore, Satan was a perfect creation. Since God is eternal, and exists separate from time, Satan's perfection as one of God's creation cannot change. He is either always perfect, or was never perfect. Therefore, Satan is always acting exactly as God intended. Satan's will is God's will. To consider Satan an enemy of ourselves or God is illogical. Along the same lines, divine intervention implies God did not get it right when he set things into motion, therefore is not all powerful or all knowing. Free will implies God is not eternal and all knowing, since it requires that our lives would be unknowable by God until we've actually made choices. Why not entertain for a moment the thought that the Bible was written as a way to answer questions for people in an age where we didn't really have answers, and that the advent of science allows us to ask the right questions so that we find real answers.. 11. Uhh...no. Symbiosis is widespread in nature. For example, rainforests have multi-species flocks of birds, where inter-species cooperation allows each species to thrive. When was the last time you had a biology class? Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

  13. Since we are all products of evolution, why should we care. After all, we are nothing but animals with no soul who should only be interested in the survival of our immediate herd, pack, or flock, unless of course, there is a drive that comes from a force outside of ourselves that demands that we reach out and help those who are weaker than us, those whom we have only heard about through the written and spoken word, something which the rest of the animal kingdom cannot do. Is it possible that there really is something special about us as a species? We are not the only species with the capacity to feel compassion. What is so special about humans is that they are our species. We can relate to no other as well. That does not make us special in the grand scheme of things. Math tutoring available. 15. LOL...I understand. I remember the first time I heard NWA in the 80's. Since I was a teenager and was a...bad person, it spoke to me in ways that other music (besides punk) never had. Later as I got older (and hopefully a better person) It gave me insight to a community I had no other access to. I've always loved poetry and been facinated by the lyrics of songs. Like all music, rap has its hacks. There will always be the fool who sings about how much they love girls with big butts while drinking 40's of malt liquor. If you measure rap by that standard then you should measure rock by "Poison" or all american music by Brittney Spears. I hate country music!!! I hate music in C major (most country it seems)...I recognize that the musicians are talented, I just can't stant the way it sounds. Rap makes alot of folks uncomfortable...it should. They say scarry things about themselves and us...we should listen. Anyone who thinks they are talentless needs to listen to eminem...then try to sing along with him....there is a reason he is considered the best. Music at its best is always a vehicle to exchange ideas, you don't have to like the vehicle but it would be foolish to ignore the idea! I love the fact that two soldiers from Indiana used this vehicle to express themselves!!! Especially since they sampled NWA to do it! I agree, but I still didn't like the song! 24. If you "rear end" a slower moving vehicle in the left/fast/passing lane, you are at fault in the US. That means the slow car has the right of way. Give the fast car the right of way in the left/fast/passing lane, and the slower cars will get out of the way, since they would be liable if they are hit from behind. If a person changes lanes to pass, then changes back to the right/slow lane, repeatedly, that is weaving. If the driver can tell he/she is going to pass everyone in the right/slow lane, there is makes no sense to switch back and forth. That driver should stay in the left/fast/passing lane unless there is a faster vehicle coming from behind, at which time he/she should move right and yield the right of way in the left/fast/passing lane to the faster vehicle. 25. I see it as a self-inflicted condition, not worthy of being in the same category as cancer, diabetes, or HIV (which can be acquired without conscious choice.) They can all be acquired via poor lifestyle choices, too. Which makes them very similar to addiction. Incidentally, some people are genetically predisposed to be more susceptible to addiction, so it is not always a conscious choice, either. In fact, I think you will find few people who deliberately set out to be addicts. Like I said, addiction is a disease. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
