    I'm like you...but I only smoke maybe an average of one cigarette every six weeks. Anyhoo, as far as long term damage: (1) I can't imagine 2 smokes a month is gonna do much harm. I think air pollution in urban environments is worse than that. (2) I sincerely doubt that the timing of your smoke in relation to when you're exercising has any impact on the severity of the harm caused by cigarette smoke. Beyond that, all I can say is that the LAST thing I'd ever want to do after smoking a cigarette is go running. Haha.

    Do a google search for "vista sleep problems". For some reason, Microsoft just CANNOT ever get standby/hibernate/sleep functions to work correctly. I changed my power settings so that it never goes to sleep.

    I also think that term is ridiculous. So don't use it. "Black" has about 6 fewer syllables. ANYHOO, the conversation a few posts back reminded me of a funny chat I had a few months ago in the locker room: Friend (white): Are you skydiving this weekend? Me: Yeah. Friend: Cool. See ya Monday. Me: See ya. (Friend exits locker room.) My other friend, who was also in the room, looks at me like I'm nutty... Him (black): SKYDIVING? You white guys are crazy. Me: Eh, there's a few blacks who jump at my dropzone. Him: I'll tell ya, I've NEVER heard one black man say to another 'hey bro, you going skydiving this weekend?' We had a good laugh.

    I used to drink 2.5 to 3 POTS of coffee every day. At the time, I was also smoking 30 cigarettes a day. And I wondered why my stomach was alwasy upset. Hahaha. Anyhoo, cutting down my coffee intake to only 2 - 3 cups a day (where I'm at now) wasn't a big deal. I just drank a little less each day. Quitting smoking, on the other hand, that was a bitch. I couldn't think, I was grumpy all the time, I even DREAMED about smoking. Eventally all that went away. Interestingly, really intense cardio workouts give me a high similar to the relief I felt from smoking. If it wasn't for that, I don't think I ever woulda quit.

    When I started AFF, I couldn't do more than 1 jump a day because it would just wipe me out. I'd go home and nap afterwards. Even these days, if I jump 10 or 12 times in a weekend, I'm gonna drag ass all day Monday. I definitely think there's some recovery time involved after you blow your entire adrenal load. Uh, so to speak.
