  1. I'll take you up on that offer mate sometime. I leave the beginning of the week. If yaaa need help making the front page tomorrow I'll help yaa with that also.
  2. magot, I'm not going to argue with you, insult you, or not try to understand how you feel. I really shouldn't reply to your post at all... or even posted my opinion in the first place. My opinion is only that, my opinion. Yes I only have 61 skydives. I am also 40 years old and understand life and the world. I qualify my opinions with my age. Had Jeb light fire to the top of the Empire State Building to make a point in protest about not being able to jump the object I could understand your reference to burning airplanes a little better. I not going to say where I've been, post pictures of where I may go, or even consider jumping an object in NYC without any experience in the realm of BASE which is required. It was a stunt, JEB got busted doing and it's going to be argued about until it a dead horse.... more than likely well past that point. I am of the opinion that it was somewhat foolish to attempt the Empire State Building but I can also see the "Moth to the Flame" allure of that object for a person such as Jeb. My thoughts are, had I the skill and desire I could access a few different objects tonight at 3:00am, keep the secret to myself and get away with it. All I see Jeb doing is burning the Empire State Building as a site. As if it was ever possible to even be considered a site in the first place. I'll not partake of the drama here any longer. My opinion is all it is.
  3. Hot mode? in NYC? There are not so high profile objects everywhere you look. I really think not. The ESB is the #1 object in the entire city not to jump. Anyone else find the fact that he's now being called a "wannabe" ironic?
  4. It's a damn shame he didn't pull it off. It's a once in a lifetime jump if he would have gotten away with it. I'm in NYC now and would have loved to have seen a success on the news instead of this. Does anyone know if he has bailed out as of yet?
  5. I have a bonehead mindwarp in size large. I've been very happy with mine. It fits my head perfectly right out of the box. I didn't need to bake it either. I was at Square3 and finally got to try on a bonehead mamba. it was also a size large and it was too small for my head. I'm glad I didn't just order a large mamba and then receive it only to have it not fit. I could barely get the chin section of the helmet over my chin.
  6. Was that Laszlo taking pictures from the ground over the DZ? I didn't see the credit at the bottom of your post. At a glance I thought it was a sig line. Glad you're both OK!! ...and it was only a few weeks ago I saw one from the ground at Sebastian. If everyone still insists on converging into a single small area I see no way for this to stop happening. I may be mistaken so perhaps in the following comments I'll find the solution.
  7. methinks you like the forced & slave part the most.
  8. Mom says I'm still the same selfish sonofabitch I've always been. No mothers day card for her.
  9. because you'd like it, you want to do it, so just do it.
  10. You've done thirty jumps since I spoke with you last?
  11. I was with two girls on vacation from Canada at Z-hills a couple weeks ago, both had 600+ jumps over ten years, no reserve rides to date for either of them. That's the club I want to be in. None so far for me. It's not an option in the poll. 0 for 61 jumps in a year
  12. Appears to be a man with a plan. Not crazy at all. All done for charity. Very respectable. I wish him well. Mostjumps is not about setting a new World Record. It is about helping make a difference in the lives of special children. All funds raised will be split among two organizations the United States Special Olympics and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. 1st Guinness World Record, 31 May 1995 for 331 jumps in 24 hours at Raeford, NC. 2nd Guinness World Record, 27 November 1997 for 384 jumps in 24 hours at the Somerton Airport, AZ. 3rd Guinness World Record, 13 November 1999 for 476 jumps in 24 hours at the Somerton Airport, AZ. 4th Guinness World Record, 11 November 2003 for 534 jumps in 24 hours at Elsinore, CA.
  13. I saw your text message last night. Glad your ok... as it is. I'd had a slammer without a lineover a couple weeks ago. The bruises were nice. That was due to a bad pack job though. My thoughts are, don't do that again. Did you rush to pack your main?
  14. I may be up there then. I'll have to make it if I can.
  15. I've been very happy with my Sabre2 although I've only but 40+ jumps on it since getting it new.
  16. This video just rubs me the wrong way. I don't like being pushed on the ground, in life or by anyone. Call it my fighting Irish spirit. ... all for a 30 second spot or for a go around. What I'm going to be looking forward to is.... once I land on the ground is... fist fighting 'cause I was pushed out of an freaking airplane when I was not ready to jump from it. Maybe the guy you pushed , you pushed because he is the type of guy who can be pushed out of an airplane... and since he didn't get hurt, or it didn't go bad he can laugh about it.... Chris "call me weird" From what I can see of the video, the people doing the pushing, and it's 2 people are not looking at the spot or out the airplane. What you assume is happening may not in fact be be happening. Anyone watching the video can see the last guy in the door is given 4 seconds, 4 seconds n the door before he is pushed out of the plane. By two different jumpers, not the 15 seconds as is claimed. Here is what I would do, I'd be looking to kick red sleeve's and black sleeve's ass once I landed on the ground and if my ass was the only one kicked at the very least I stood up for myself. "Best skydiving movie ever" That attitude is childish, dangerous & stupid. IMHO ... and I look at your profile and the USPA has given you an Instructor rating and your pushing jumpers not ready to exit an aircraft in flight out of it.. Call me weird. And then you or whoever post's the video on the internet. Smart. Hopefully you'll see just how stupid your actions are by the response of other jumpers and learn from them instead of bitching out some sort of reply to me. Maybe this happens everyday and since I'm a noob I do not know any better. If that's the case I'm sorry.... just do not do it to me. I saw in the Introductions forum just the other day a new jumper asking about Skydive Fingerlakes, my opinion of that DZ has changed after watching this video.
  17. I don't mean to be contentious, I truly don't. Yes it is important. Many things are important. Great weight should be given to all that is instructed and mentioned by an instructor. Many things are mentioned and discussed over and over again by instructors. If you feel strongly that an area is being overlooked bring it to the direct attention of an instructor in person. Discuss it further. Discussing it on a website is not nearly as important as direct conversation and instruction. Many things are disregarded over and over again also. What I can respect is direct responsibility for ones own actions. That was a point that seemed to me as being overlooked. I truly do not mean to offend anyone. I'm often times pointed and direct... to a fault.
  18. I'm somewhat disapointed that the title to this thread is that somehow other people are more responsible for your skydive other than you yourself. Just don't do it. Do not jump. It will settle a world of problems that way. Break you ass walking into Walmart and then sue them instead. I will give you credit that in the 4th paragraph, you mention that you are retarded. j/k If you want to or any other jumper wants to, spend the afternoons off the DZ jumping off the roof of your shed in the backyard or another suitable vantage point and practice your PLF' landings. I say Go for it. For my own piece of mind I've done all that it takes to make my personal skydives safer. When I pound in, I'll have no one to blame but myself. Remember the three P's
  19. I'm going to do what I want. That's my goal.
  20. I've been waiting for this big break. Since I'm hung like Dirk Diggler just let me know when you need the big gun.
  21. I so needed that laugh. Thanks a millon. I'm going to go throw up now.
  22. I spent all day in a fucking Hospital, LIJ Current mood: drunk I've been awake for close to 34 hours now. Pops had 25% of his right lung removed. Fucking cancer. What a shitty way to spend St Paddys day.... we needed every bit of the "Luck of the Irish" today. I think I may have been awake longer but I've been drinking Jameson Irish Whiskey since getting back to the house and I'm not sure. ;-P I had dinner in Chinatown... and yes they locked the fucking doors and let me smoke a cigarette at my table when I was done eating with my tea. It was an awesome meal but I'm wasted six ways to Sunday at the moment. I have to drive upstate tomorrow. 6:30am is only 5 hours away now. I'll need a vacation when this is done & people think I'm on vacation now. FUCK!!! That is all. T
  23. miniature jet engines that a jumper can strap onto their legs and fly around untill the fuel runs out.
