  1. I don't know if this is helpful, but, we used to strap them to our chest straps with an empty beer can to hold it out and up. Of course, for cross country jumps we used full beer cans.
  2. I made the decission not to go to Couch for a number of reasons. I'm sitting here thinking about what I'm missing.... enough of that, I'm going to my local DZ to have some fun. Blues.... Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  3. Exactly Not to mention they can look at what's going on and redesign the suit so the next guy gets the "new and improved" suit. Feedback leads to product improvement. Stop bitchen about the problem and become part of the solution..... IMHmisguidedO as always. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  4. Yep! And I'm a big Red Green fan.... Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  5. Photo by Luke Evans!! Nice shot Luke. Thanks. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  6. This may help... http://expresscomposites.com/reinforcements.html
  7. Can you post pics of your setup so we can see how your using the device? Is your hype eye hidden and protected or exposed in the open. I'm not looking to place blame, I'm just really interested in these facts. Thanks Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  8. Will you also have time to talk camers, helmets and related sony vegas studio stuff??
  9. Ding, ding, ding..... we have a winner! Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  10. ....... and somewhere along the road, PAC's will be redesigned to eliminate these (rather serious) issues? Right? Don't get me wrong, I love the PAC's. I just think a manufacturer designing a plane "specifically for skydiving" would want to improve their product. IMH misguided O. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  11. O.K. Sandy.... here's a little trivia for you. What NPSL team is not going to Couch this year??? ................(your guess here)...........................? That is correct!!!! ding..ding...ding! Erics having shoulder problems, the others are leaving thier camera guy with no excuss to travel. Any NPSL teams need the services of an abandoned camera flyer??
  12. Although I agree that a bit of CRW experience is a huge asset to any canopy pilot, I'd recommend some close proximity flying with a seasoned CRW pilot first. If nothing else, it'll teach you what a canopy burble feels like. Anyone flying in crowded air space needs to know what it is, and what it can do!! 13. I posted a Pic of a pac stall that clearely showed a jumper thrown toward the tail. So, yes, stalls and tail strikes can be related. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=114506; Since our last experience (1 1/2 years ago) we've not had any issues. Pilots are more aware and jumpers have been diligent, but, it only takes a short lapse in memory to create a problem. A sign on the back wall might be a good reminder to all. Place it right next to the "No Farting" sticker. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  14. Fixed it! Thanks. Here's another... http://www.startribune.com/lifestyle/101721363.html Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  15. Over 100 women (over the age of fifty) made tandem skydives today at Skydive Twin Cities. And, more than 80 videos were produced to chronicle the tale. Amazing day!!! Great Job Skydive Twin Cities staff and nicely done each and every "old" girl. (I can use the term old because they showed us all how to celebrate our age today) I’ll post official results when the counting is done. For now, I’d just like to express my sincere thanks to all the “Girls” that participated. I’ve never experienced so much enthusiasm from tandem students. You gals rock!!! This was a memorable day of skydiving. Thank you all! http://www.kare11.com/news/local/mornings/saturday/saturday_article.aspx?storyid=852675&catid=21 Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  16. You don't really want an answer to that do you?
  17. which issue? i'd be interested in reading that article PM me and I'll send you a copy of the whole article. There is a lot of info/research that did not make it into the magazine. I think it was May 09... I'll check. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  18. That pic was taken a couple weeks ago when the temps were really high... I usually wear leather coat and heavy blue jeans. The worst part of this day was the sun burn. Oh... and, I've been down 3 times over 60mph. 2 of the 3, dressed just like that pic. Each time I walked away without a scratch. Except for the time I had my leather coat on (small cut on chest). Go figure??? Anyway, we're talking rigs on bikes. Bike atire is for another thread and another forum. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  19. ... and remember, the guy on top (the one who landed safely on the field) is the pilot! The caption on the picture above should read... Pilot ..."Take that sucka!" Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  20. I don't know... looks like a bad day to land a 2 stack into a stadium! But, given the conditions, I think they did a good job of covering their asses! Were these CRW canopies? They don't appear to be 9 cells? The bottom line here is, no one hurt... but not such great PR for the sport. Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  21. Ignore the comments from the “cagers”! Carying gear can be done easily, just be smart about it and get a good gear bag to protect it. I’ve been using a cargo net and it works very good for just about everything. Like I said above, my Givi bags make a good platform to set the gear on top of.
  22. That is correct sir! I don't like to carry gear on the bike, but, I'd rather take the bike!
  23. Dude!!! Buy a fricken gear bag! I drive a ZX11 (see my aviator) and I have soft saddle bags (Givi - $200). The soft bags are great for touring and make a nice platform to strap a gear bag onto. Then, find a way to keep the whole thing right side up??? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
  24. I buy a box of foam ear plugs and leave them at manifest for anyone who needs them. Hearing loss is 100% preventable people!!!! One TI I talked to this weekend is trying a $3,000 device to help eleviate her Tinittus issues. Imagine this… Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!! 24/7.
