Source? I'm not finding anyone who says this other than you. I would have figured a bright boy like you could figure that out.... do you keep track of the news??? Not lately, I've been working long hours. And I am obviously not getting the right string of words for google. Why don't you hook a brother up? Need a credit card processing service? Want an AK???
jgoose71 replied to normiss's topic in Speakers Corner
That's interesting, coming from someone who has bragged about owning AK's in the past. If they are so cheap and foreign, then why did YOU bother with them? I got rid of them long ago. John.. how about you.... dont you need to go stroke a gun now??? You didn't answer the question: Why did you acquire them in the first place? Because I wanted to. JR's crowded rack Awwwww... How sweet. Did you give your rifle a ladies name to? Or did you call your Chuck or Steve or something? Did the air force even let you have a rifle? How many scandals can the Obama adminstration juggle at once?
jgoose71 replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
I know that, and the press will never fully investigate this. However, I'm just curious to see what else he thinks he can get away with with his elitist attitude. He is Obama, he can do what he wants to push his agenda. He answers to no one....... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. How many scandals can the Obama adminstration juggle at once?
jgoose71 replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
It seems like a fair question let's see what he has got on his plate right now: 1. Fast and Furious- The DOJ was letting criminals take weapons bought in the U.S. back to Mexico in an attempt to track down arms traffickers, to bad they had no way of tracking the weapons after they left the country. Epic fail that cost the lives of many. 2. Solyndra Solar- $526 Million flushed down the toilet. The Bush administration new it was going to fail and tried to shut it down. They visited Obama in the white house and convinced him it was a good idea, being a green guy and all, he had to throw money at it, just to have it turn around and fail 3 months later. Now they are trying to say it's Bush's fault. 3. Light Squared- More Obama donors paid him to let them install 4G cell towers. To bad they interfere with GPS systems and military applications. Obama turned around and tried to pressure General Shelton, Commander of the Air Force Space Command, that this wasn't true. He refused. This is turning into a real debacle. There may be more coming. While Obama may be smart, as a leader, he is proving to be real inept. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I think you are a little confused.... We didn't leave the republican party, the party left us. There are a lot of people out there that are disenchanted with the political process and even more disenchanted with politicians. The "Tea party" is not a party. They are still in the Republican camp. it doesn't matter if Herman Cain or Mitt Romney or who ever else gets the Republican nomination, they will have the tea party vote. That is if they were republicans before the last election. Keep in mind, there are democrats in the tea party too.... When both parties start representing the people instead of who ever there lobbyists are, then the tea party will go away. That's all a lot of us are after. Obama represents union (10% of the populations) and trial lawyers, and the republican party has lost its way with the small business man. You have to have a congressman in your pocket to be able to get out of enough taxes to start a business. All you here it the 10 second sound bite on the news that says "stop spending," but there is a lot more than that going on. I know Herman Cain is not leading in the poles, but people need to take a serious look at him. i seriously think he is what the country needs to get back on track. Or you could just vote for another politician...... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." So let me ask you this: A wealthy banker makes some bad financial choices and his bank starts to go under. Do we bail him out? And yes, it is the same thing. Someone makes a bad choice and they expect someone else to come in and pay for their mistake. Ron Paul advocates responsibility for your choices, in case you missed the point. If you can buy health care, you should. Plane and simple. Why do you bail out one person and not the other? And if you say it's because his life is on the line, then why would anyone buy health insurance? Hand outs are a slippery slope. Edited to Add: And before you start calling me a "death monger" you need to listen to Wolf Blitzer's scenario again. There are millions of people out there that want to do the right thing, but can't, just like there are millions of people out there that can do the right thing but don't. Most of the time, especially when the scenario is laid out plane and simple in front of you like Wolf did, I can tell the difference between the two. Can you? When you pre screen,at least you won't get questions like the one from the terribly confused Afghan-American women. She claims to be a Tea party member and then ask what Perry would do to protect women's rights in Afghanistan. I'm sorry, did you ask a tea bagger what he would do to help a social cause in a country 10,000 miles away? When you have people that do not even have the slightest clue what their party believes, and then you let them on live TV, it's a mistake. Once again showing that you don't have the slightest clue what the tea party is about. One day you will take off your political blinders, but I think not. The Obama Definition of Civility Is Now Very Apparent

I don't think you can use "Media Matters" to debunk anything Fox news says. They are more partisan than anyone. If you go to there home page they have a big "Drop Fox" banner going right across the front of it. They have tried to brand themselves as a media watch dog, but they are funded by george soros and have been caught in the occasional lie them selves pushing some of the occasional left wing crap worse than some of the bloggers out there. Not to mention if memory serves, they just recently had their public funding pulled because of there agenda. Just thought you should take a closer look at your "source" I stated clearly in my Post #15: "..my point wasn't so much to indict Fox"News" as it was to debunk the ostensible premise of the OP. " I wasn't challenging the messenger; I was challenging the message. What you're doing is challenging the messenger. Rather, I'd suggest you address the substance of the piece I quoted; it's either correct or not, regardless of the conduit of information. So tell me counselor, You never attacked the messenger in court? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." The government are not necessarily family; they are however, dependents. I do believe it's time to "cut the apron strings." Nice bumper sticker slogan. So what, specifically, would you get rid of? The Border Patrol? FBI? Air Force? CDC? NIH? FAA? Actually naming names takes more thought. Are you up to it, or does parroting Tea Party slogans define the extent of your capabilities? Don Why do you immediately go for the big things you know the county needs? You do realize that there are other options to spending cuts than "cut Medicare?" I would start with going down the list of subsidies, freeze government growth where it's at rather than let it continue to grow at the 7% rate that it has taken off at, start closing loop holes in the tax code... and oh, ya, fix the thing that is driving up medical costs faster than anything else, and implement tort reform. That will save the government all kinds of money in medical cost. Wait a minute, this is just some of the ideas in the "Ryan Plan" Oh my..... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Just like Wendy, why one extreme or the other? I think it would be really easy to figure out what programs need to stay and which ones need to go...... After you get rid of the lobbyist money. And then the programs will have to stand on there own merrit. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Because, after all, America was so much more efficient, and everyone was so much better off financially, back in the 19th century before most of those nasty controlling laws took effect. Wendy P. But my wife won't let me start and internet porn site.... Seriously, if it were that easy we would be in a lot better shape. If the government just got out of our way, we could do it, but they have actively put up a bunch of road blocks that effect a lot of people. High taxes and a health care bill that no one know the full cost of yet. Do you know that actual cost of that employee? Can you budget around that? Lobbyist that get subsidies for the big companies. How can you compete financially when you don't have a much money to get started and the big companies, with there government bought advantages, can do the same thing for less? And don't forget to pay the lawyers. They will find a way to put their hand in your pockets either with class action law suits, some kind of insurance, union or something.... It's just not an even playing field anymore for someone starting out. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. California to Toughen Parole Chances for Those Sentenced to Life.

Jaycee Dugard is not a sexual predator. She was the victim of Phillip Garrido, a career sexual predator. Yes, I made a mistake and got the names mixed up, so pay no attention to my post. One mistake = all relevancy gone and throw the whole thing out. fucking lawyers..... I figured that you just made a mistake. I should had stated that. Oh, don't ever mistaken me for a scumbag lawyer Next time, I'll turn my lawyer loose on you. Shelley can be vicious, but don't worry, she is freaking hot, hot, hot -

Of course, all of this could have been avoided if he gave his speech before he went on vacation. Now it's turning into a circus. Seriously, when are we going to here about this plan to save the economy? Is just trying to give us a dramatic pause? I know a lot of people that have been in a state of dramatic pause sense he took office. To borrow one of his lines from the campaign trail, "It's the economy, stupid." California to Toughen Parole Chances for Those Sentenced to Life.
jgoose71 replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
The Article does a great job of taking the personal aspect out of the equation. In something like this, you just can't do that though. 2 examples: Dugard was a sexual predator. They have a high repeat rate. He should not have been let go. Casey Anthony was only a danger to her child. Now that she doesn't have any more kids to harm and probably won't be a danger to anyone else, is that an excuse to let her go free? I guess the real question is, when you let a prisoner go, has justice been served? If not, the system really isn't a deterrent, is it? Each case still needs to be judged on it's own merit. Are political parties similar to unions? Or vice versa?
jgoose71 replied to Niki1's topic in Speakers Corner
You forgot another real important similarity: Both politicians and Union officials are primarily made up of lawyers. Once you realize that, you will go "ohhhhh, it makes sense now...." No, driving a car is banned after drinking past a threshold level of intoxication (which for me is at least 3 rounds), and only until the liver clears it out. You can still possess a car, can still get in the car. I'm still wondering if you think drinking, handling loaded weapons, and shooting are ok while drinking? "Hold my beer and watch this..." Here is a simple question Did Michele Bachman spend years sitting in the pews of Peter Waldron listening to his crap? Did Barrack Obama spend years sitting in the pews of rev. Wright listening to his crap? After you answer this simple question, it should help you with your decision making on who is the bigger piece o' crap. As a Marine Officer, I can say that this is exactly what would happen if we had unions and this is exactly why the military will never and shouldn't have unions. The whole concept of I will do what I am told when I get what I want, wont ever work. As I have stated earlier, you don't think that they don't have similar issues in the police department or fire department? "Officer, arrest that armed criminal." "Not until I get a raise." "Officer, break up that riot and protect the innocent." "Not until I get that raise" "Rescue that child from the burning building" "Not until I get my raise." Everyone says it's a bad idea, yet other public servants with just as much responsibility to protect life and limb are unionized. Why? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
-
No. The Military has many people in DC and elsewhere who represent military issues already. With the VA, the VFW's, DAV's, ect. ect. who needs representation? Which goes back to my original point, why do the Police or firefighters need a union? There are a lot of retired people in other public sector jobs that "need" unions. I'm looking for more than "well, they are military..." They are hired by cities and counties. different rules and regulations for each area. I believe their total wages or retirements may be negotiable. We are hired by the Federal Govt. One single big organization under one single set of rules. Maybe if the military was unionized, our retirement would be better protected and we would have some ability to negotiate before it gets cut. Interesting thing about that. Our retirement is US code (title 10, sub title A, part 2). Theirs is something that is a contract. Ours is law, thiers is contracts. Either/or, it wouldn't matter. Contracts can be negotiated and laws can be changed by vote. Also, we would not be able to strike. When people enlist, they sign a contract. Don't you think they should have some say before someone comes in and just decides to change the terms of that deal? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
