Amazing how little effort it took to match your comments from conservatives about OWS to liberals to the Tea Party movement...... Now if we could just potty train the OWS..... There are those of us that believe that nuclear energy should be expanded on. However, people think it will cause godzilla to rise against us or something. At the onsite storage facilities of all the nuclear plants here in the U.S. there is enough material that if we were to recycle it, it could power every house in the U.S. for the next 12 years. the problem is, getting the liberals on board to allow us to recycle this material and build new nuclear power plants to allow us to use this material. Not to mention, the transportation and storage of said material. I think it's time to educate people on the subject. Electricity is easily moved across county, especially on all the high tech grids we have now a days. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,318688,00.html "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the OWS Protests

I think you will find far more of your fellow travellers in RED STATES.. drinking that polluted "produced" water that WILL give many of them cancer. Good luck with that But keep filling your head with nice little phallacies... it looks good on you. As I said, FRAK water is for liberals. If we didn't produce it, what would you have to protest? What other projects would you have to fleece the government for billions of dollars of special interest money to solve? If we didn't endanger the delta smelt or vermilion darter, what excuse would you have to be angry? Just say thank you for helping to give you your liberal agenda while I light my cigar with this $100 bill I got from the Koch Bros..... Does this custom Italian suit make my butt look fat? ....... Breath ..... Breath......... I couldn't make it past that sentence..... Too many big words for you huh I'm guessing it was the failure to mesh with reality. Can you find an example where officers were deployed with orders to assault? (remember assault is unlawful touching- using force to effect an arrest for illegal conduct is not unlawful, hence not an assault). Then there's the issue of "polite". Sure, some of them are polite all the time, and most of the are polite most of the time, but how polite is blocking traffic? Insulting pedestrians? Assaulting cops? Fighting? Stealing? Raping? Shooting? Really, how many polite crowds have been in physical confrontations with police? Hey why dont you go get some pepper spray in the eyes from the white shirt guys in NY...OH thats right... your buddies can NEVER do anything wrong FAce it.. You will support ANY cop doing ANYTHING... behind that perseption of its ALL of US against YOU...Paranoia... its not just for nutters anymore Next thing you know, you are going to tell me that the OWS protestors leave places cleaner than they found it..... Can't.... stop.... laughing.... at.... the..... delusional..... sides hurt..... can't breath..... you guys are sooooo environmentally sound..... Your graffiti says so.... It was also spelled out in poo on the side walk... Gee is poo biodegradable??? How about we get you some FRAK produced water... I want to see you drink that bubba... That's OK, being a conservative, I take my Aquafina in a plastic bottle, that comes in single serving six packs of course, so I can fill up the land fills with plastic, mean while wrapping the holders around the neck of something cute, fuzzy and endangered. He is absolutely 100% right. The problem is when people start tampering with checks and balances. When wall street and congress remove the risk associated with adventurous undertakings, things go wacky. When we start repealing the corporate safety nets that they have bribed congress to enact as laws through lobbyists, you will see corporations start to move forward in a more responsible manner..... driven by greed of course. http://www.alternet.org/occupywallst/153030/why_is_the_oakland_police_department_hiding_the_truth_about_its_violent_crackdown_on_the_occupy_protests/?page=entire I have to agree with the people that have stated that they want to see more video of the incident. To counter this, I have also seen a lot of video of Oakland burning and being destroyed by the Occupy group. There is also reports of the group having to set up rape trauma centers for both men and women, the lack of sanitation, and even in the video you have posted, there is graffiti obviously put here by the Occupy group. Yes, they have a right to protest, but they don't have a right to destroy and be a hazard to everyone around them. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Your link didn't work. But I did google "cain allow exemptions for poor" to see if I could figure out what you were talking about. What came up was Cain talking about his Economic Empowerment zones that I referred to in my OP. Those have been in his proposal since the beginning. Allowing tax breaks for those living in the hardest hit economic area's to help rebuild them. Tax breaks for the companies that move in to encourage jobs, tax breaks for those that desperately need the money. Way to finally get passed the headlines..... I'll give it to you, his dealings with the press up to this point have been less than presidential. Yes, Cain is no Slick Willy Clinton when it comes to handling the press. He is a business man, not a politician. But I would wait for a while before writing him off. Just because a liberal paper wants to see him gone doesn't mean he is toast quite yet. His message is the economy and jobs. It's the message that is most important to Americans, and there is still a long way to go to the election. Still, I can't blame him for being pissed. Only the liberal media would focus on anonymous, un-named sources. The only details that we know are the ones that Cain released. I still believe that the media would have given Obama a pass on this until names, dates, and details were released, and then the story would have been buried on page 17 of the local papers. I give it maybe a 50-50 chance of making on to the nightly news. Some advise I would think about giving Herman Cain would be let the women come out from their confidentiality agreements so the story could be told and the details could be deputed, but the liberal media wouldn't care about the truth anyway. They would give the women a ticker-tape parade and hail them as conquering hero's on the way to their initial press conference, anything they said would be the gospel truth, followed by a democratic victory rally afterwards. At this point, the only reason they may be coming forward is because Cain is running for President and they are thinking they might be able to get more Hush-money out of the deal. Because the case is sealed, we might not ever know. Only time will tell. Either way, I think it's time to take another look at some long forgotten documents: Journalism Ethics and Standards- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journalism_ethics_and_standards "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. ...and there you have it folks. Read it and weep. Police unions protect good cops against the whiny little prick thugs who readily attack Cops, but immediately cry brutality when their aggression is met in kind. Funny thing about working for the government. They can pass rules and set up boards fairly judge individual cases. You don't need unions to do that. Unions actually prevent that. Public sector unions have way over stepped their bounds and protect bad cops too. I have known a few. After so many years, some people loose their compassion. They have heard the story a thousand times before. They loose sight on what they are supposed to be doing. There needs to be a mechanism in place to take these people and either get them a desk job or get them off the force. Not everyone that passes thru the academy should be a police officer. Not everyone has the mental capacity to deal with the dregs of society day in and day out. They don't need to be police officers. If you can't protect and serve, get off the force. If you prove you are not capable, you need to be fired. Unions hamper the process. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. THe bigger banks are more one-stop shops. As I said, I am a local bank guy. But it sucks when I go elsewhere. I need to make a deposit I've got one location. That kind of thing. TH ebank doesn't do everything. But what it does it does very well. And that's why I bank locally, But to quit a bank because it's big? That just seems really silly to decide against a bank because it's big. You are right, being big isn't a reason for me to decide against a bank. I decided against bank of America though because they suck. They participated in bad loans, they loan to illegal immigrants, and they received bail out money. They tried to implement extra debit card fees, while making over $700 billion last quarter on credit card interest alone. I don't blame everything on wall street and big business. But when I spot a bad apple, I take my business else where. I would also encourage others to do the same. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Answer me this, what about a large bank makes it better? The whole point of the move your money project is to get your money local, to support your local economy, and not give your money to the large corporate banks that are bundling risky loans on wall street and needing bail outs. My local credit union charges me less fee's, offers better rates, and supports local causes. I did bank of America for a while, and they suck. The only reason anyone should have them is because they have ATM's and branches everywhere. I don't travel enough anymore to need them. Not for the service they give. Also, national banks, who give credit card applications to anyone, are always trying to find new fees to tack on. Local banks, who know who is good for their bill and who isn't. Bank of america was trying to tack on credit card and debit card swipe fees for a while. My bank wasn't. If you want to keep feeding the wallet of wall street, keep banking with B of A, AIG, Citigroup, etc. If you want to take a bite out of these guys and help your local economy, check out the local Credit Unions and Banks. You will find it may even work better for you, unless you need to have a big, opulent marble foyer to walk into (paid for by money taken from your pocket). Deaf .. CI User .. Advise for freefall
jgoose71 replied to cjg's topic in Skydivers with Disabilities
Well, while I am not deaf, my youngest son is. He has dual implants and is 3. I don't know if this will help you or not, but here is some of the stuff I learned while trying to keep 2 CI's on a three year old. Whig tape. When we take him in for hair cuts and in-between cuts, we keep the area right behind his ears shaved. Then we use the tape to keep the outside pieces secure to his head. Whig tape is like double sided scotch tape only a lot stronger. We use the brand Topstick and cut it down to fit on to the processor. http://www.wigwarehouse.com/TopStick-Tape-p/vapsd150.htm As far as helmets, I have to find pliable helmets with a soft liner. They will fit over his head without knocking the magnet around, to bad anyway. A soft foam inside keeps the magnets from being pushed into his head. In Skydiving, the only thing that I have seen that comes close to something that would probably work that I have seen are the Frap hats: http://www.square1.com/manufacturers/square1/p521.asp Though not really a full on helmet. I would talk to your instructor to make sure that he is OK with it before you use one. Good luck to you. The Skydiving bug is hard to cure once you catch it. Only thing left to do is jump. Well yes, but if they are good in the sack, that means they are ususally psychotic the rest of the time. For every hot chick out there, there is a line of men that are sick of her shit. Finding the holy trifecta in a woman is very rare, if not impossible. It's like searching for a unicorn. The one or 2 that are out there in the world are probably already taken. You will probably find one or 2 women at an Occupy Wallstreet rally that you might want to take home for a night or 2, but I highly doubt that you will find anyone that you will want to take home to mom. I've said it before and I will say it again. If you want to get rid of bad cops you got to get rid of the police unions. Before you can fire a bad cop, you have to go through a wall of lawyers and legislation. Till you do that, you get what you get. Suck it up or make the change. Let's be honest, A U.S. birth certificate is a requirement for President of the United States. Also, you can't be President unless you have sexually harassed a girl or cheated on your wife.
