So now you are saying it's OK for the white man to go onto an indian reservations and take his cattle? Doesn't this go against your liberal guilt? Or are you just for the government placing fees on whatever it wants and then taking all your shit when you don't pay? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. News flash!!!! It's not the 1950's anymore. I bet you are still wondering how a black man was elected president with all the rampant unchecked racism still racing through the country, aren't you? I'm not saying it isn't out there, I just wish some people could see the changes that have occurred in the last 50 years. The constant playing of the race card against imaginary slights is hurting the people out there that are indeed facing real racism. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Of the people, by the wealthy, for the wealthy

Interesting reading. Now if we could just find a way to twist the number show that things haven't been getting worse at an accelerated rate under Obama, we could use it during the next presidential campaign.... I'm not arguing cause, legality, or anything of that nature. I know for some people that will never make a difference because they have already put on their political blinders and chose a side. I'm only arguing tactics. His tactics are what caused Harry Reid to label him a domestic terrorist. The same tactics his kind used to use back in college. I'm sure the left right now is working on a way to make the label stick well enough to send it a drone strike. After all, that is the tactics of the left. I thought I would read this thread to see if I could learn anything new.... And I didn't. I can't comment on the legality of it all, but I can't believe the level of hypocrisy associated with this case. The liberal baby boomers from the 60's made a name for themselves "sticking it to the man" with all of their acts of civil disobedience. Now that they have brain washed a generation through the colleges to vote them into power, anyone who behaves like them when they were in their youth gets labeled a terrorist. Dissenting views must get dealt with swiftly... And you can't say the radicals of the 60's behaved more civilly. I've seen pictures of the formations of the Black panthers and the throwing of the Maultave cocktails on campuses. No one was hurt at the bundy ranch, other than some cows and turtles by federal agents... sent by liberals... It's hard to win the hearts and minds of people and lend credibility to your argument when you display this level of hypocrisy. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. And you know why all coasties have to be at least 6 feet tall? So when their boat breaks down they can wade to shore. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything

On a similar note, the CSAR guys. Both the pilots who fly it and the Pararescue men who actually go down on the ground to find the pilots. Well if you are going to compare jobs within the military, can't necessarily forget the EOD guys... Who else would walk down to the end of the road knowing there was a bomb or IED there? It's also a job that is sponsored by all branches of the service... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or not so I'll stick to the most obvious flaw in your argument (though there are many). In a true capitalist society the person with the most money and power isn't supposed to be the government. That would be a socialist/communist society... Don't worry, you explained it well. The article doesn't necessarily give enough details to say whether or not the said actions were legal or illegal, although none of the reasons sighted in the article for the eminent domain case had nothing to do with the mine. We may have to leave it at that. However, legal or illegal, there is nothing about this story that would suggest that the county bureaucrats were morally right, or showed the slightest bit of caring about the well being of the constituents... Shit all over the little guy. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything

You need to understand mining laws if you are going to "own" an old mine or patented claim that sits in the middle of otherwise public lands just a quick start ... and it gets worse from there http://everydaylife.globalpost.com/patented-mining-claim-mean-keep-mineral-rights-28795.html The article never mentioned if they had patented or unpatented right to the land. I guess that does make a difference according to your article.... But still, they owned the land. It was there 10 acres of paradise on top of a mountain. The "commercial use" cited by the county was the gathering of pine cones. It was condemned because the cabin didn't have plumbing or electricity. I'm just having a hard time with this one. Especially since a cabin in the middle of no where is one of my dreams... Edited to add: and to make them settle for $110,000. Do you honestly think that is what the property is worth? I had to re-read the article 3 times. I just get more and more pissed off every time I read it. When she sticks her tongue out, she looks like the illegitimate child of Gene Simmons! Chuck I seem to be the only one who has no issue with her at all. I think the song is a pretty decent song. and her antics at the music awards are just publicity which seems to be paying off for her. As to the wrecking ball video clip. I'm more than fine with that. It's tame by comparison to many of the clips that were around in the early 80s. I liked the Betty White video of ;Wrecking Ball', better! Getting her face out there is what it's all about. Personally, I couldn't care less about Miley Cyrus. Chuck No one liked the Hulk Hogan version? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HazcWQ-PjzM "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. My god man, you are missing it! The beauty of these things is that you can make them at the house when every you get a craving! Just keep a ready stock of supplies... Only down fall may be that after you cook a pan, you will have to eat the whole thing. It's not like going to the store and just buying what you want to eat. Even here at Camp Leatherneck, they let us have 2 beers in celebration... Don't tell anyone though, I think it's supposed to be a secret. Nobody goes on the internet though, right? At 15 Euro the live and on demand video pass is definitely a better deal that NFL Sunday ticket... Couldn't watch this year, but next year I will, especially now that a couple of the races are held in the U.S.

As an EOD Tech, I had serious issues with "The Hurt Locker"... Also pretty sure there was more people involved in the fight than portrayed in "Zero Dark Thirty" Pretty much anything coming out of Hollywood is going to get churched up or the story bent a little to appeal to the masses... Except for Sasha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator." I thought that was a pretty accurate portrayal of Saddam Hussein... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
