Your Modern Sporting pistol could be illegal.

Are you sure? I can buy a Tavor for $1800 without doing the NFA Title II tax stamp thing and they are definitely less than 26". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMI_Tavor_TAR-21 "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Your right! When you look at the occurrence rate and scope of the crimes and how they effect your daily life, I'm pretty sure life here and life there are VERY different. Does that happen in several middle east countries? Sure. Now, replace beheading with daily shootings, and you what part is not true about life in the US? Are we talking government sanctioned on a massive scope? I'm pretty sure you can find Gerbil rape in the U.S., but the average person would condemn it, not vote the guy into office and hold him up as an example. Because Americans are taught/brainwahsed/indoctrinated/whatever you want to call it, from an early age that they live in the greatest country in the world. That American and Americans are the best at everything. From that perspective it would be hard to believe a country would not want to be invaded and "liberated" by Americans. So if your choices were: (1) being burned alive, (2) stoned to death, (3) beheaded, (4) shot, (5) thrown off a building, (6) "being liberated by America," Which would you choose? I'm not seeing anything for overall length. Bull pups are legal if you have the money with out having to do a Trust. 14.5" Barrels are legal as long as you permanently attach a muzzle device that is at least 1.5" long. Yes, but I'm still going to vent about how much I hate the BATFE. How much leniency do you think you will get for not paying your $200 tax stamp? Expect your life destroyed over legal definitions of a right that "shall not be infringed." That said, Modern sporting rifles are Barbi's for men. How shall we dress up for this outing? While you and I know this, the idiot left does not. It's easier to just stick with Modern sporting rifle. Remember the war of words and perception. Just like "Illegal Immigrant" and "Undocumented worker". "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 320,000,000 Americans not running for president in 2016
jgoose71 replied to kallend's topic in Speakers Corner
It's not like the average person could run anyway. Lawyers and regulations took care of that. Have you ever looked into the paperwork and rules for running for office? If the founding fathers saw what was going on with politics today, they would throw up. That we now have political power families instead of citizen politicians, makes me gag. Bushes, Clintons, Kennedy's... fuck them all... But it's not like the average Joe pays enough attention in the world to know what's going on anyway. It's all about name recognition and political correctness. Britney Spears for President! "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. For the shooting enthusiast out there, the BATFE is yet again issuing more rules to try to make a law abiding citizen a felon and not even know it. http://www.offthegridnews.com/2014/04/28/how-your-gun-may-be-illegal-and-you-not-know-it/ If this is old news to you guys, please ignore. It's new to me as I am starting my own builds and am learning the rules. A video to show the utter absurdity of this stuff... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrCHkvF_hB0 And from now on, they are no longer AR's. It's a banned term. It's now "Modern Sporting rifle". And we don't shoot, we plink. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything -
Violent crime has always been about poverty and corruption. Gun control has very little effect. Guns don't wander the streets by them selves. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. It's good to see this guy saying that more band with is a good thing, however, I don't see how the Net Neutrality Act (Title II) will do anything to help. More government is not always the answer. Saying that it's not a solutions unless it involves the government is one of the biggest lies ever told. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I'm pretty sure that most Jews who don't want to submit to Halakah are not threatened with death. Unless I'm mistaken, I haven't heard of Jews being put to death for Apostasy. I think this is the biggest issue for most people when it comes to Sharia Law, it's the taking away of peoples rights against their will in the name if religion. I'm pretty sure that this is not in accordance with American values. There is a difference between willingly submitting to something and having something forced upon you. But, But, But,..... Big government is our friend. They would never do anything to hurt us. It's all for your own safety. So what's wrong with trading a few freedoms for better protection? Conservatives and liberals both distort climate change
jgoose71 replied to lawrocket's topic in Speakers Corner
I do think that Mathew Nisbet (the guy that wrote the article) did a good job and provided some great research data, but at the same time, he did let some of his liberal bias show. Is partisan ship so ingrained into everyone now that they can't even right a simple article like this without trying to persuade people to their side? What happen to simply providing the facts and letting the people decide? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything -
These articles didn't say anything about suppressing the vote. Liberals are reading into the articles. All they are saying (and I feel the same way) is that it's a good idea to know what you are voting for (both the desired outcome and the unintended consequences). And that the republican party has been doing a lousy job of getting an effective argument out. But it wouldn't really matter if they did. The left would just Saul Alinsky any attempt at an honest debate anyway, just like they did with the above articles. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I have to agree with Rep Ellmers on this one. It's a liberal hatchet job. If you read the full article and not just the highlighted portions you will know that what she is saying is that the Republican messaging is horrible. They need to spend less time in pie charts and more time in how their policies actually affect women and their families. The same thing could be said about republican messaging to all groups, it just so happens they were talking about women in this interview. And Kimberly Guilfoyle and Greg Gutfeld were actually talking about how people generally get smarter with life experience. Not everyone knows everything at the age of 18. You don't necessarily have to wait until you are older to vote, but maybe at least look into the issues a little first? I understand why liberals are attacking these articles. They love low information voters. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Does Human Rights = Constitutionally protected rights?
jgoose71 replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
Now you seem to be hinting at human rights are the same as constitutional rights. Kind of the opposite of what you said in post 8. As for an education, what makes you think that said illegal could get a better education in an American class room instead of a Brazilian class room if Portuguese is the only language he speaks? Why are you making him stay here for 2-5 years to wait for his court date? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. So you also think they have the right to assemble? Bear arms? Vote? The 14th amendment spells out protections for citizens. The first, second, fifteenth, and nineteenth, just like the 4th, 5th, and 6th does not specifically deny these rights to non-citizens. So since they do not specifically deny these rights, do they still get them? Along with a government paid for lawyer? And what about and educations. Do you think it's right that an U.S. born child waits for his education while the teacher tries to get an illegal non-english speaking child caught up? Section 1 of the 14th amendment: "All Persons" refers to U.S. citizens as I read it. Kind of the reason I created this thread/poll. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. jgoose71 replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
Quade is spot on in his analysis. Human Rights - like Natural Law - are so subjective as to be useless as any guiding principle. The next natural question would be What rights do you think people that are here illegally qualify for? The right to vote? Bear arms? Attorney? Protest? Health care? Do you think they qualify to go to a public school to get an education? Even if that means the degradation of your own child's education? How about a free ticket to anywhere in the country after they turn themselves in to border patrol? Would you consider these rights (legal, moral, ethical) or which would you take them away? if so which and why? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
