I thought this was good. I was really hoping for a Disney version of the "Red Wedding" but I guess you can't have it all. At least they got the "Mountain that Rides vs Red Viper" battle depicted..... http://www.refinery29.com/2015/05/87064/game-of-thrones-disney#slide Original Brazilian site: http://www.comboestudio.com.br/site/portfolio/serie-game-of-thrones "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Back to Amazon's original post, the way most stops go are: "The person was acting strange, detain them until we can figure out something to charge them with." Especially if you piss the officer off. Whether you agree with it or not, just show your ID. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Then explain this: http://www.latimes.com/business/autos/la-fi-hy-motorcycle-lanesplitting-20150528-story.html From your own link: There is no law stating that lane splitting is illegal. When ever I was pulled over the officer would say "it's an unsafe act and therefore illegal" and then right me a ticket for something else. I would have to look up the exact vehicle code to figure out what it was because the ticket would usually say "CVC 1140" or something to that extent. Turned out that I was being charged with "Unsafe lane changes." The one time I took it to court I won. I wasn't making lane changes, I was splitting traffic. If I hadn't taken the time to look up the vehicle code, I would have had to pay a lot more. Either way I still had to take time from work and pay court fees. At least I didn't have to go to traffic school. But that was a traffic ticket. I didn't resist or argue with the cop. If I did, who knows what else I would have been charged with. I was on a sport bike and he was already pissed off at me by my "recklessness", and by that I mean going 10 mph through traffic that was not moving. As I said, take a look a look at all the laws the police have to charge you with. You are guilty of something. Don't piss them off, just show your ID. Edited to add: the link you posted is about passing a law that would state that it is legal to get rid of any ambiguity. As I said, right now there is no law saying it is legal or illegal. Do I feel like I have to always show my ID when asked? No Will I always show my ID when asked? Yes Whether we like it or not, it's never beneficial to piss off the police, no matter how big of an asshole you think the guy is. If he wants to see your ID, depending on the cop, he will eventually see it no matter what you say or do. Pick any states Penal code or Vehicle code book. Any one of them. Take a look at the size of it. I guarantee you are guilty of something. And even if you are not, there is something close that you are "suspicious" of doing that might require further investigation. Examples? Lane splitting is not illegal in California on motorcycles. That said, I've been written several tickets for "unsafe lane changes." Base jumping is not illegal in federal parks, but if you do it, you will be thrown in jail for "Illegal aerial delivery in a park" And when all else fails, there is always "resisting arrest." What the original offense was that they were arresting you for doesn't matter, you resisted. To me, police are like patent trolls. When they do shit that isn't right, you can get it corrected. All you need is a lot of time and a lot of money for a lawyer. Welcome to our justice system. Since I have neither, in the end, when I get abused by a cop, I will probably just roll over like a bitch and take it. To stand up for what is right would more than likely destroy my family. The governments endless amount of time and money compared to my limited time and resources will put me on the loosing end in the court of law pretty much every time. The only way I could ever really see myself taking on the government in a case like this would be if "Looser pays" legislation ever got passed. Death Toll is now up to 38. Last 2 victims were a mother and a 7 year old child. http://news.yahoo.com/baltimore-residents-fearful-amid-homicide-spike-083758282.html Well, lets be honest though. The police would be much more willing to do their job if they were not so afraid to wind up in jail themselves. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/crime/blog/bs-md-ci-fop-statement-20150528-story.html Just remember, these murders are being committed by misunderstood youth crying out for opportunity, not thugs. You are correct. They drove to Texas from the Mosque this guy is protesting in front of. His stated reason is to draw out any more Muslims who want to attack free speech. Regardless of your feeling on the matter, it is a good way to draw out any more extremists... although I do have mixed feeling about looking for a fight like this. Agreed. Bullpups do have a few drawbacks, notably the trigger feel because of the linkage required to connect the trigger to the trigger pack. Stock Tavor trigger: 11 lbs Stock AR trigger: 6-7 lbs But after only being in the U.S. for a year the aftermarket parts guys are supporting this Rifle. Tinmey and Giessley are already offering trigger packs that bring the trigger weight down to 4.5 to 5 lbs. There are also .300 Blackout barrels in the works. I guess that is what happens when you sell 20,000 Rifles your first year alone. Can you hear the liberals crying? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. It's definitely a shorter gun for the barrel length, but an AR with a 7 inch barrel would come in around 23 inches OAL. If the gun were that short it would still be an NFA item even if the barrel is 16 inches long. OAL of a Tavor with a 16" barrel is 26 1/8" (My original estimate might have been off by a couple of inches), but it is not an NFA item. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The IWI Tavor has been in the U.S. for a while now, but I'm just now getting caught up So, some great features that liberals will hate. High capacity mags, semi-auto, threaded barrel, pistol grip... the standard things that put liberals in a tizzy (except for bayonet lugs, maybe pick one up aftermarket?) But being a bull pup design, you can have a rifle that has the same overall length as an AR with a 7" barrel but actually equipped with a 16" barrel. A short gun without having to set up a trust and apply for a tax stamp, then wait 6 months for a decision from the ATF!!! But what I love about this gun the most is that the company is based out of Israel, and buying an IWI gun supports the Israeli military complex! Usually I like to buy American, but I'm thinking I will have to pick one of these up. Do I need one? Hell no, but I can't think of a better way to support the 2nd Amendment and Israel at the same time!!! http://www.iwi.us/TAVOR/TAVOR-TSFD18 "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Why would they give a shit about what Obama says, when we don't even give a shit about what Obama says? Personally I think ISIS will be ISIS regardless of what anybody says...for the most part, you can only influence future generations. If the problem is with how ISIS interprets the text, then there is an ounce of hope if people can effectively refute those misinterpretations and convince the ISIS types otherwise....but again, that's a long shot - I'd rather put my money on teaching more accurate interpretations to future generations, much like Christianity over the last 500 years or so... Over here in Detroit/Hamtramck/Dearborn area, there is a large population of both Arabic and European Muslims. My next-door-neighbor at the time expressed how she was getting sick of all the (verbal) fighting and hostility at her mosque and how many Muslim women have started passing out christian tracks to other Muslim women. There is also a fair amount of Christian evangelism, but it seems to me that the Jehovah witnesses have been more effective. I think this is primarily due to the fact that, like Muslims, they view Jesus as a mere prophet rather than God, the Son - which probably makes it a bit easier for a Muslim to swallow....at least at first. In a lot of areas you may be right. Some muslims have been sucking in the tit of hate for so long they probably won't be able to turn back. But the longer you wait to teach a new message, the more people will fall into the old one. Believe it or not, Obama does have a huge influence on the Royal Families of Saudi. Right now they are scared shitless of an Iran thats trying to create a Hegemony out of the gulf states. The only thing that is really keeping the peace out there right now is the huge U.S. Military presence. With Iran acting the way it is, if Obama was to actually start engaging the Arabs more in the gulf states, i bet we could make some headway. But that will never happen. Obama is going to sell them out for the nuke deal. We saw there displeasure when only a couple showed up to the invite to Camp David. Most had more important stuff to do... like get their hair done... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." At some point and time just about anyone can have an accurate assessment or valid point. Believe it or not, I think even Rachel Maddow says something worth while.... sometimes. And you know what? Sometimes I think you have valid points from time to time, although, sometimes they are hard to find between all the vitriol and conspiracy theories..... kind of like Glenn Beck or Alex Jones. He does Infowars, right? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything

It's a start, but they were not angry at ISIS for killing the pilot, they were angry at the manor for which he was killed. Your not supposed to burn them to death, just cut off their heads. http://rt.com/news/229383-kasasbeh-reaction-isis-crucify/ While they condemn the method, they condone the ideology. Until the most revered imams in the sunni mosques in Saudi Arabia start condemning the ideology, we are going to get more of the same. This is why it's important that we point the finger at them and start pressuring them to come out of the dark ages. Obama's message of "this is not Islam" gives them an excuse not to address it. I think Obama has taken the absolutely wrong stance on ISIS. The first thing he should have done is say: "This is a Muslim problem. The muslims have to take back their religion from the extremists." By trying to take this line of ISIS members are not really muslims he has given the Imams a way out where they don't have to do shit. The Imams, especially the Sunni Imams in Saudi Arabia since they are at the Mecca of their cult, need to take a hard line on this. Especially since a lot of the money that started these guys up came from Saudi Arabia. Isis pretty much finds them selves now, but the Saudi Imams are still considered the heart of Sunni Muslims. Until you are able to successfully put pressure on them to change, change will not happen. Just my $.02. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Marvin Louis Guy, cop killer diserving the death penalty?

No, they are not charging him with that, so I'm guessing the firearm was legal. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything -
Marvin Louis Guy, cop killer diserving the death penalty?
jgoose71 replied to jgoose71's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm posting this hear because information on this case seems to be hard to come by. Even a search of Speakers Corner, although their seems to be lots of opinions on the subject matter.... Marvin Guy had a bunch of masked shadowy figures coming through his window at 5:30 in the morning so he did what any good texan would do.... he lit them up with a 9mm pistol, exercising his 2nd amendment right and the good ol' fashioned castle doctrine. Come to find out that those "shadowy figures" were actually police officers serving a "no-knock warrant." Now here is where it get's tricky. The Killeen district attorney is trying him for capital murder and 3 attempts of capital murder and seeking the death penalty, and that is it. Nothing related to the original warrant. And what I think is worse, I can't find anywhere anything that says why this guy would need a "no-knock warrant" issued on him. No mention of a history of violence or previous arrests or anything. Anyone else have anything? Quite honestly, people come storming into my house at 3AM wearing black masks, they are likely to get shot too.... http://kdhnews.com/news/crime/attorneys-ask-judge-to-delay-trial-of-accused-cop-killer/article_fdb5306c-d260-11e4-8398-a7d305bd61af.html "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. can we get even more basic? just ask them to recite Pi to 5 significant digits - if they need 'significant digits' explained to them or the spelling, then they don't get to reproduce (unless they are willing to pay offsets). Oooooh, I like that idea. Like carbon offsets, they could buy extra child offsets, from Jessie Jackson and Al Gore through the Clinton foundation. Awesome Idea, as long as the offset is taking one parent or grand parent and putting them in the giant swirly people recycler for "Logan's Run." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSUAAKFLoL0 "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. You have to be careful with this one. Remember: You can beat, rape, enslave, tie up, chain down, hit with a switch, make them walk 4 steps behind you with their head bowed, and keep them barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen and that is all OK. If you in any way do anything that even looks like it might encroach in a woman's right to choose, you've started a "War on Women." "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. You may have intelligent points to make. I'll never know. You continually use slang derogatory terms for the people you're discussing. I can't respect that. Nor care enough about your opinion to read your posts. Due to the toxic nature of Speakers Corner, from now on everyone is required to wear one of these.... http://www.drct.com/neutron_detection/neutronrae-ii.html You MUST note the day and time you start wearing it. Per OSHA standards if you reach 500mR within 1 year, you must back away from Speakers Corner. Continued exposer to such toxic material could have a negative impact on your health that will not be covered by Obamacare...(mental health don't you know....) So buy new shoes. If only new shoes could bring Ol' Yeller back to life.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything

Me, I do care what he thinks and feels about. It's kind of why I'm pro death penalty. As I said earlier, some people just need to be put down. It's the humane thing to do. They shot ol' yeller, didn't they? Some people's soles are just so warped and twisted that the very act of living is suffering. When you look at some of the crime scenes around the country and see what some humans are capable of doing to others, you have to ask yourself "is even a rabid dog capable of being this cruel? What has to be wrong with a person to make them do this?" Sometimes it can be explained and sometimes it can't. Just my $.02 "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. This shouldn't even be taken into consideration. 1st, it doesn't matter what we do, the bad guys will always spin what we do to meet their agenda. If we let him live, America is weak, attack! If we execute him, remember the martyr Dzhokhar, Attack! For this reason you shouldn't concern yourself with what the enemy thinks. 2nd, one of the stated goals of terrorism is to influence your enemies behavior. If you start worrying about what your enemy thinks of your actions and you start allowing that to influence your behavior, they have succeeded in one of their goals. Last but not least, what did your parents teach you about peer pressure? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I have to say that I'm really surprised that the anti-death penalty crowd hasn't really taken up arms in this thread yet. Could it be that Dzhokhar's crimes were that serious? Or is it that in this case we've had a chance to see the victims and what he's done to Boston. Typically, after the murder, you never here about the victim again. I think it was a little different with this case.... That said I agree with Doc Holiday in Tombstone. Some people are just looking for revenge for being born and sometimes the most merciful thing you can do is put them down. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
