  1. Define friends. Can you discuss your current relationship with your ex, ask for advice and expect to get an honest and unbiased feedback? In case you say yes, do you think your ex feels the same way?
  2. There is a funny detail - they made him drink some red wine before the mission ...

  4. Just to let you know, I-10 does not mean "speed limit 10 mph"
  5. He said driving speed limit, so it must be you ... or perhaps he's personal speed limit is different
  6. Oh that's even better - our last tunnel session ends at 1 pm, so I was wandering if we have enough time to debrief, close out, drop the car and make a 4 pm flight I thought driving to Eloy was exhausting, but now I see that flying is bloody expensive. I guess moving to Phoenix permanently will take care of this problem.
  7. How long does it realistically take to get from Eloy to Phoenix airport by car on Sunday afternoon? Thanks Anton

    Alpha team

I understand when people overshoot stopping too late, but this person is still in a full dive. Where is he/she going and looking?
  9. Bill, are you coming to Nats this year?

    Alpha team

wow, nearly half of them are Russians
  11. I would like to respond to this by quoting my piece partner who has over 2200 jumps and quite a few hours in a tunnel under her belt. "If I had a choice between a minute in a tunnel and a minute of actual freefall, I would always choose to skydive" With tunnels expanding so rapidly there will always be a small group of tunnel people who don't jump (I am talking about adults). However, I seriously doubt that tunnels will substitute skydiving for skydivers. The vast majority of skydivers think of tunnel as a very powerful and fun tool that helps to learn how to skydive better. Back to the topic: Watching kids fly is really amazing I once saw a small kid cry when the parents were pulling him out at the end of the session – he didn’t want to get out Ten years from now, the new generation of world champions will be 5-10 years younger.
  12. one of my first instructors likes to say: "if you gonna be stupid, you better be tough"
  13. Dalas Heat exited lower than 3K
  14. I think I know your front center. How do ya'll keep him in a plane when it is below 4.5K?

    Free Ron!!!!!

Try to read only what he posts on safety/training related issues. I always agree with everything he says. ... Free DA MAN!
  16. What really strikes me after reading this thread is that both liberals and conservatives have enough free time and desire to clash over this important issue. ViperPilot: next time you write a paper, I suggest you use a white pen and write between the lines “liberals suck” (or “republicans suck”). It might change the outcome
  17. I assume you suck unless you prove the opposite
  18. Just wanted to add my 2 cents to what’s already been said by Alex and Ben. IMHO, beside the safety issue, there is also a mental aspect that needs to be taken into account by new teams considering low altitude exit practice. A good exit takes four people acting together with precision and synchronicity – everyone leaves the plane as a part of the team and communicating with each other. When lunching at 4K, we already start thinking about getting away from the team during a setup in a door mentally shifting the focus from what makes a good exit happen to what needs too be done for safe opening in clear airspace and proper altitude. Yes, some top teams successfully utilize the plan with a lot of tunnel time and a lot of low-altitude exit practice but this doesn’t mean that the same plan will work well for anyone.
  19. You still don't have the mindmaps? How do you all manage to skydive ?:
  20. I have been there for 26 years
