  1. Dragon2, Sorry, i meant to reply on Nick_Fedchik's posts. My bad.
  2. I think everybody understands that that you and Hagen have good intentions but really, you are not doing your friend a favor (I assume he's a fiend). I am not trying to advocate a dealer in question, but keep in mind that it has been less than a week since this malfunction occurred and a dealer is a very busy man. If you know who Andrey is, you should not be surprised that it's difficult to reach him. Until you hear from the dealer, silence would be your best course of action. Just my 2 cents
  3. My post does not say that. Selling unairworthy gear is unacceptable. So, you haven't really been around for a long time and haven't seen a lot of structural damages that happen sometimes, even with the gear that is in a good condition? Is that what you are saying? ... someone said something to you and you are now posting this second hand information in a public forum. Let me tell you, this is a very bad form. How about you get the canopy inspected at PD and get their opinion about the condition of the canopy before flaming a diller? In fact, your whole post looks like you already KNOW that the diller sold a canopy that was not airworthy and your statements looks like a pure speculation to me.
  4. So he cut away malfunctioned main and safely landed under his reserve. What does your post have to do with the INCIDENTS forum? Nick_Fedchik: Flaming a diller on public forum is a bad idea.
  5. Your profile says that your home DZ is Eloy. You shouldn't have problems with getting some excellent coaching at DZ - always a good idea Edit to add ... never mind, the team pictures don't look like Eloy but still working with a coach would help tremendously.
  6. ... if a person at 1'o'clock (point I assume) makes a 90 to compressed picture (with OC). It's difficult to take the grips when people are sliding around. Think about getting there first, building a right picture and STOPping - the grips will be there waiting for you.
  7. It's not a Yuan on "Yuan" picture
  8. You need to post team pictures when asking for advice here
  9. Got a scanner? Somehow I cannot recall 1998 skydiving events
  10. I all he needs to know is nalivay ... lol Kolomna is a great place - I am sure you will have a lot of fun.

    Scarlett Johanson

You are NOT allowed to think about her before you visualize all the B slots Edit to add: Lol ... is it really raining so bad in Minnesota?
  12. Maybe it's time to start believing in angels? Glad you are OK, professor.

Sounds like lots of creeping will be very useful ... and there is no excuse for not knowing the dive pool. It drives me nuts when people say they "really want to do good" but don't bother to learn the pool.

Good luck with that We already had 5 2-day camps and only got 5 jumpable days. Lots of rain, clouds and wind. The good news it will soon change to nice blue skies and 100 degrees on the ground Edit to add: I used to think about moving to Boston or NYC. Not anymore ... lol.

Perhaps you should move to Eloy
  18. You will probably find this weird, but I enjoy landing off every once in a while. Well, I am not talking about trying to make your way between the power lines trying to land on narrow city street - my main DZ has plenty of open fields around it. IMHO, for a type of canopy you fly, landing off is all about making a right decision up high (of course, the best would be to avoid the situation). Too many people got injured (or killed) trying to make it back to main landing area and making a final turn too low. Most of them would have been ok if they made a right decision up high and picked an alternative place to land. I look at every chance to land off as an exercise for my judgment. If I am in doubt, I make a decision at >1000 ft and head for alternative landing area. Be safe
  19. Lol Perhaps I did not make it clear - I was referring to specific 'tail getting low' issue When I had to deal with systematic problem of not being low enough, visualizing the team on the hill (looking up and seeing everybody higher than you)helped a lot. Common, didn't you compliment my "long exits just a few weeks ago? P.S. 4/6 was a good lesson, no doubt about that
  20. Wait a minute, aren't you an outside center ? I bet you are visualizing the right piece but the wrong slot
  21. Visualizing the whole team on the hill helps to learn how go get in a right place in a right time. Still have a spoon in my eye and it hurts a lot
  22. I felt a physical pain when I was reading this
  23. Thank you all for advice The idea to soak the bastard in distilled water worked amazingly well (I am currently posting from repaired laptop) Here is a procedure for those who is interested 1) Open and remove both front and rear panels 1) Take out the following parts: - HDD - Battery - CD/DVD drive 2) Disconnect the keyboard from the body of computer 3) Rinse the chips with 5L of distilled water 4) Dry for 24 hours (I wanted to use a drier to make it quicker, but the idea was denied by g/f) 5) Re-assemble and enjoy
  24. Yup ... I am hopping the warranty is still valid ...
