Can you cook bacon in a microwave?
GeordieSkydiver replied to GeordieSkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
In a fully equiped kitchen, I can cook. Here in barracks, I have a toaster, a Stella Artois fridge, and sandwich maker and a microwave. The bacon burns in the toaster, so I wondered if i could cook it in the microwave. I'm not a complete remtard. Turn up for a birthday dinner party after having been drinking all day. In a football shirt. To a fancy restaurant. Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk

Well can you? Obviously you cant brown it in there, but can you make it 'bacon sandwichable' in there? Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk -
You should treat all others as you would like to be treat. Regardless of their job. You can complain about shoddy service or cold food, without acting like an ass or treating the waiter badly. People who do this need to get over themselves. Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk

I've just spent the past 24 hours involved in a charity event in order to raise money for the community of Beslan. Clicky below if you want to know more. http://www.moscowhelp.org/en/index.html My unit basically rowed, cycled and ran the distance between our base and the town of Beslan. Approx 5500 miles. We started at 9am Monday, and its due to finish Saturday, midday. I just need to say that I was overwhelmed, suprised and humbled by the generosity of some people. From the old folk who gave money, when they clearly dont have much, to the younger people, pretty much everyone was incredibly generous. I spent an hour counting money, and I counted 1400 pounds. That was raised in one 24 hour period. We did 6 of those....

A few years ago I was at a nightclub in Newcastle UK, with some friends on new years eve. One of the friends was with his mother and her boyfriend. (Dave) It had been snowing outside and everything was wet, we were on a nightclub called "the Tuxedo Princess" which an old cruise ship permanently moored in the river Tyne. The deck are wooden, and slippy when wet. This combined with a slight list to port made walking on the deck a tricky manouvere (especially after a 'few' drinks) Anyway, as we walked on, this guy Dave slipped and fell over, no big deal, but we all laughed. We got our drinks and sat in a booth chatting. After a few minutes we noticed Dave was missing. He was spotted at the bar, drinking alone and sulking. One of the guys went over and asked him what was wrong. He replied that he was embarrassed because he fell, and we'd just met him, we'd think he was an idiot etc. My friend convinced him it was no big deal, to stop being an ass, get a round of drinks in, and come over to the table. He buys like 8 drinks, gets them all on a tray and proceeds to walk over to us. Sure enough, he slipped, spent about .5 of a second in a perfect back track position then crashed to earth. Followed closely by a tray of drinks. Not only did we all laugh, but the 50 other people in the bar did too, we were in hysterics, pointing and almost busting a rib. He got up, came over sat down and said; "ok, so now you know I'm a idiot" Oh, how we laughed. Cheer up, Brian. You know what they say. Some things in life are bad, They can really make you mad. Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle, Don't grumble, give a whistle! And this'll help things turn out for the best... And... ...always look on the bright side of life! whistle Always look on the bright side of life... If life seems jolly rotten, There's something you've forgotten! And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing, When you're feeling in the dumps, Don't be silly chumps, Just purse your lips and whistle -- that's the thing! And... always look on the bright side of life... whistle Come on! Always look on the bright side of life... whistle For life is quite absurd, And death's the final word. You must always face the curtain with a bow! Forget about your sin -- give the audience a grin, Enjoy it -- it's the last chance anyhow! So always look on the bright side of death! Just before you draw your terminal breath. Life's a piece of sh*t, When you look at it. Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true, You'll see it's all a show, Keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you! And always look on the bright side of life... whistle Always look on the bright side of life whistle Classic!

I disagree, I think he had a very good day. I hope he went home and told his wife/kids he loved them very much... Then I hope he vowed to never again stick his feet in his lines...
