  1. I now hear that banks that are holding about 13 billion of the purchase price in outstanding loans are trying to sell pieces of those loans. They are getting offers of about $.60 on the dollar. Because bankruptcy is now seen as a possible outcome for Twitter.
  2. He will not become destitute. But he will have the largest part of his assets seized. As others have said there will be many very resourceful lawyers able to spend money tracking them down to get their piece of the action. It will become more and more difficult for him to pay for legal help to avoid paying. He will be in an unpleasant and frustrating place trying.

Perhaps the R party has moved too far to the right and a few more Americans have abandoned them for now? Maybe......
  4. Skydivers would like the DZ to be near the city that they live in. But a 2 hour drive is more likely to be where there is enough cheap land and an under used airfield available. Skydiving uses a lot of resources.
  5. This is the main reason we buy all our fuel from the airport operated cardlock pumps. That and the fact that fuel contamination and dealing with shrinkage is almost completely eliminated. A few dollars more for fuel is a small issue in the bigger scheme of things.

She was a strong ambitious woman who did not know her place. The likes of FOX news and associated media worked hard for years at turning her into a "boogiewoman" and succeeded. And she could be pretty tone deaf and come across as condescending as well. Because of that she failed to be relatable to people who did not agree with her. Politicians who want to be POTUS need to appear to be someone who you could sit down and have a beer with.
  7. What? You mean it is not the evil stock shorters this time? There must be a scapegoat somewhere when hubris catches up with the great man.

There are a lot of people who feel that way. Unfortunately not enough of them get out and vote for moderate candidates in the primaries. So then they have only extremists to choose from in the general.

Unfortunately Boebert is now leading by almost 400 votes with 98% counted on Thursday morning.

The GOP had it's chance to take care of Trump during the impeachment vote. They declined. They deserve him.

What utter BS. Both those men are where they are because no one else was able to beat them. Winners don't "get out of the way". They get pushed out of the way by stronger candidates. America has the leaders it deserves. America does not have to be polarized, it has chosen to be polarized.

You almost did. Hilary would have been a good leader. But so many of you were convinced that she is an evil harridan. So many people vote with their gut and fail to engage the brain.

They were against him in the beginning. Ted Cruz, and Jeb Bush and even John Kasich were the favourites. FOX only came on board when Trump became inevitable. And they will do the same thing again. If Trump wants it and fights for it he will get it. And then he will lose the general again. He nearly lost to Hilary and she was hated.

The grass roots of the party are not loyal to Murdoch. Or De Santis. Or Mitch. Or Pence. They are loyal to their loud mouth hero. It's all very well and fine to call him yesterday's man, but who can beat him in the party?

The party establishment and the right wing of the MSM did not want Trump last time around either. But no one else could beat him in the primaries because the poorly educated do want him. De Santis will also not be able to beat him if it comes to it.
  16. Sounds vaguely like a porn ad Jerry.

Trump will not willingly bow out unless he is sure that he can not win the R nomination. And he still has enough support among the primary voting fanatics that he has a good chance of winning it. This is the point where the party will have to pay the price for the deal it made with the devil.
  18. Clearly Jerry stated that was his opinion. Just as clearly you stated it as a known fact. Do you see the difference or are you too old to understand? In any case being POTUS is a very challenging job. Few people in their eighties are strong enough for such a demanding posistion. If that is what you are saying then you have a point. But it is not what you said.
  19. Judging from some of the leaps of logic you have been stretching for lately I'm wondering if you are of a similar age to Joe.
  20. Did your wife give you that medical diagnoses, some right wing media type, or are you just making it up from your "gut feeling" like so much else you have be posting lately?

Don't be too sure Boebert is gone. The NY Times is still saying she will most likely win based on the areas where votes are still to be counted. This is at 13:20 CST Wednesday. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/11/08/us/elections/results-colorado-us-house-district-3.html
  22. Yes! Heaven will absolutely no have men wearing suits with ties in it. Women might be in skirts and heels, I'm not sure on that part.
  23. The other options would be a vote of paid party members or direct selection by party leaders. Do you have a better idea for another system? Because both have obvious flaws as well. Take Liz Truss for example......
  24. All the cool kids have Twitter. Until recently when Elon made it uncool. I also have never had an account. Nor have I ever been cool, not even for 5 minutes.
