  1. Welcome home. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. The article is missing one key point, and that is colouring Harsani's whole analysis. That point is the fact that Obama has not rejected radical Islam as a factor. He has not ever denied that radical Islam is a factor. He has merely chosen to emphasize different aspects of the problem because he sees no point in emphasizing the religious aspects of the conflict. The conflict is about far more than religion. It's real heart is in the regional politics of the Middle East and a struggle for power. Obama is keeping his eye focused on the ball and encouraging everyone else to do so as well. It's important to identify your enemy with clarity. It allows you to avoid wasting your resources. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. There are two glaring errors in this statement. Firstly, the 2nd amendment was not really a mistake. The mistake was been made later in history by the courts interpreting it. It's never good to insult the Holy Founding Fathers of America. They are completely without flaws, and possibly immaculately conceived. Along with Betsy Ross. Don't go there. Secondly. America is far from incredibly violent. I've been there lots, and it is mostly very peaceful and law abiding. And I would even say friendly, even in the urban places full of the sort of people that Ron and his ilk fear. It's just the very high number of firearms that make it appear so violent. The problem is that too many people will use their guns in anger when they feel offended, or by accident as in five year olds shooting family members. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. Correct, you have been paying attention. It is what a responsible Christian does. That is express anger in a socially acceptable manner. Scripture says don't sin when you are angry but don't go to bed angry. I used to drink beer when I got angry, whiskey if I was really pissed. Then I would often do something to make matters worse. Hmm, so that makes us your therapist. I hadn't thought of it that way but I can go with that. I'm happy to be of service to you then. Really. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. Nevermind that. What do Americans do on July 1st? This year both Canada and America get a long weekend out of our national days. The 1st is a Friday, and the 4th is a Monday. Hurray! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. But neither of the attributed quotes are accurate. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. So did it sicken you when GWB denied what you 'just understood', denied that you were at war with Islam and said that "Islam is peace"? Did George Bush make you sick with those quotes? To people like Ron GWB is white and Republican, and therefore to be believed and respected. BHO is black, and a Democrat. And therefore not be be believed or respected. Emotion, it's all about emotion. That's why he comes here, to unload his emotions. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. Whadda ya mean John? It's in da book ya know. Dontcha read books? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. It does not really matter in the end. The laws of God were written by the hand of man. And therefore subject to the flaws that man will inevitably introduce to them. As you say, no man can know another man's soul. Everyone must decide what to believe for themselves. The priests don't really know any more than you do. For as hard as they study, they are only learning what was written by other men. If there is God, surely She is within you and everywhere. You will find God within, if you are to find Her. (I only use the feminine pronoun to distinguish my God from that of the written word of man. In truth God is neither man nor woman and has no need of gender.) I am not trying to lead you away from your beliefs, they are yours and they work for you. I am only pointing out that they are not be the only valid beliefs. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  10. ...or unless the law has been fulfilled and everything had been accomplished - which Christ Did. All that's left then is to place your faith in Him - no renouncement needed. That doesn't jive with any of the other translations provided on the last page. There is quite clearly no 'or' provision in any of them. As written in english the meaning is definitely that the 'all being finished / fulfilled / accomplished' is everything that will happen until the end of time. I guess they must all be bad translations and you got the good one. You have to read the New Testament. It's like a Constitutional Amendment. It modifies the meaning of the original law by updating and replacing it. No need to modify the original. You actually still need the original to understand where it all comes from. It's just like dealing with lawyers. As in "let's kill all the lawyers tonight". Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. No Bill, Jesus did not repeal and replace man's laws. Only God's laws. You still must render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  12. I've edited that to show a little humility. Don't feel too bad, BHO is a far better man than most of us can be. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  13. And he continues to be a far better man, and a far better Christian than you, or I could ever hope to be. (edited to soften the blow to Ron) Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. Yes, a good number of them by force. Sort of like Islamist sometimes do. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. So the unconverted Jews, God's chosen people, are now condemned unless they convert. Correct? Convert? All they have to do is believe on the Messiah that they've been waiting for - and many already have. So, the answer to my question, that you are evading, is yes then? God's chosen people are condemned to hell unless they convert? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  16. So the unconverted Jews, God's chosen people, are now condemned unless they convert. Correct? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. Or concrete rebound hammer. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. Bill, you missed the part about Jesus's life and death "fulfilling all". The biblical legal scholars insist that God's law is ended by this clause. No wonder the Jews didn't convert. They know a scam when they see one. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. The meaning of "rape culture" is not so much that we support rape or rapists. It's a willingness to brush rape off as a minor offense. Sometimes with a "boys will be boys" attitude, and often with an underlying feeling that the victim did not do enough to avoid being attacked. Or even sometimes that "she wanted it". Rape culture is an acceptance of forced sex as just a normal part of life. It is something that used to exist much more commonly in our society, and still does in many others. This friction, and your confusion is about this change. It is very new and it is the result of women becoming more empowered and refusing to accept it any longer. This judge is also caught up in the change. He failed to see that being a star athlete from an upper middle class family is no longer is enough to base leniency on. Yes, the offender will probably go on to lead a good life, but part of sentencing is deterrence of others. His failure to adequately punish to a level of deterrence is leading to the call for him to be made an example of instead. Or possibly as well, depending on the outcome of any appeal of the sentence. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. That ties things up nicely. No wonder Constantine became so enamored. That's a big upgrade from the old system of Gods. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. That's not hard. Life is temporary, death is forever. Redemption is seen as a way of turning those facts around. Disney on steroids. Better than magic fairy dust. All you have to do is ignore the facts and believe your little heart out. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. I understand why you and others want to believe that. But where is it written that is so? Are you saying that Christ dying for our sins removes the law of God? No bloody wonder his cult became so popular and left the Jews behind! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. Armed people in a bar? What a great idea, hardly any danger in that. Bar fights are so common that any larger ones hire "door men" to break them up and throw the participants outside. There would be thousands of dead and injured for for every terrorist stopped. Hell, there already are. A lot of people ignore the prohibition against guns in bars. With the predictable results. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  24. Yes, the way I read Matthew 5:17-19 is Jesus is instructing that the laws of the bible must be obeyed, literally, and for all time. On pain of punishment in hell. Something most Christians, Coreeece included seem to be glossing over and looking for ways to prevaricate. And for good reason. If they did not they would look a lot like Muslim fundamentalists. Or Jewish fundamentalists, who are every bit as radical, but better controlled. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
