  1. Perhaps, when religious organizations and people stop trying to impose their views on women I will be able to do that. Until then many churches are enemies of mine on this issue. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. The level of condensation you are showing toward women in this post is offensive. Women do not have "litters", they have families. Even the ones you do not approve of. What the hell does this justify? We are talking about a legal barrier purposely erected to make it difficult for women to exercise their constitutional right. NO OTHER REASON. Your attitude borders on misogyny. Worry about your own body. Let others make their own decisions. Like the law says. That is what is meant by "right to privacy". You do not seem to get it at all. You seem to want to be in control as if women are children and need the government or some church to help them decide. THEY DO NOT. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. Wendy's. Not only fresh, but hot and juicy as well. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. Very true. It's the same principle as one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. It's just a matter of the ends justifying the means....as long as they are my ends. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. Uhh...I was sort of along with you and your tirade about inflammatory posts. Then you added this! welcome to my world. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. Alright, you did not say that, you only called it infanticide, not homocide. But many others who see abortion in the way you describe want to make it illegal. It's not a very far stretch to assume you do as well. Those of us who support a woman's right must be constantly vigilant to the threat of having those rights suppressed. So we get a little touchy about words like you used. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. There is no use blaming lobbyists. They are paid in cash, and the cash comes from the people. The majority of Americans support nearly unrestricted gun rights. The NRA is an organization of committed people who put their money where their mouths are. Americans who have the opposing view are not nearly as committed. The people are getting what the people want. They are willing to pay the price in blood. Bottom line. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. I agree, and your SC seems to as well. The obstacle is not the constitution. It's political. It is not possible to get reasonable restrictions through Congress, or most state legislative bodies. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. Wide angle lenses don't have to be fisheyes, they can be more rectilinear. Although every lens, and especially wide lenses have distortion. It just costs more money to make better lenses. Hopefully they did not shrink the sensor instead of improving the optics. Edit, it appears they did shrink the sensor 1/2.5 as opposed to 1/2.3. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  10. All this talk of "repeal" and "well regulated" is wasted. The 2nd amendment is NEVER GOING TO CHANGE. EVER. Your SC has already ruled that there can be reasonable restrictions on firearms. And that is where the only real fight will be. So far the people have elected enough gun ownership supporters that most states can not or will not impose restrictions. The people have spoken. If you want restrictions, get politically involved. It's America, love it or apply to join us here in Canada! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. Actually, infanticide is a neolithic practice - but today, the wonders of science have developed the concept of abortion that allows one to dismember and then tear progeny from the womb prior to birth and killing it for even more selfish reasons - Apparently this method is emotionally lighter on the psyche of more advanced homo sapien brains seen in the mothers of today's society, thus helping them sleep better at night. And you would like to remove a woman's constitutional right to dominion over her own body. Because you believe that would help you sleep better at night. It's not your business how well others sleep. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  12. It's hard to say from your description exactly what happened. But it is fair to say that the instructor made an error. We are all human. It does not happen a lot, but it does happen. Your instructor is not trying to kill you, he is probably very embarrassed about the mistake. You did a nice job dealing with your situation. You identified the problem and cleared it before your AAD fired. If I were you I would ask to talk to the head instructor about the incident. You are owed an honest explanation of what happened. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  13. Isn't swimming athletic? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. That's nice. There are also plenty of our American neighbours who would do the same if they were allowed to. We are both nations of immigrants. Not all refugees, but all people leaving something bad behind them to build something better. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. I love that material for packing. There are still a few canopies around and the material feels like it was rubbed with wax. Easiest pack in the world. We have a couple at the DZ. I love it for the same reason. But it is a little on the bulky side. Older Triathlons, Diablos, and Hornets. All made from it. Some other less common ones too. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  16. What ball? If you want to get down to brass tacks you have to say something. All you did was post a summary of the points G&A decided to focus on, three years ago, and then call it "shocking". Just what point would you like to address in this forum? Bring some focus if you want real discussion. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 17. I always found this to be the best method. There is no need to push or kick at feet. Just take advantage of the human need for space. If you get very close to them their natural instinct to have some space will make them completely forget about their fear. They just want you out of their space. If their hands are out far enough, but they won't step off to hang, you never need to kick them. If they have weight on their foot it is not effective anyway. All you need to do is apply a small amount of sideways pressure to their knee. They will immediately pull it out of the way to protect it. It's all about taking advantage of natural instincts. These techniques also allow you to completely control the pilot chute and bridle. Keeping it very close to the harness. Which is your most important job on hanging IADs. 18. I don't know about that. I do know that socialism in Canada, and probably also in the US is strongly rooted in traditional Christian churches. Many strong Christians still have left leaning socialist instincts. It's pretty clear that Jesus did. It's only the tension of cultural change and the diminishing of the political influence of churches that led to today's embracing of right wing politics by some religious leaders. So you could claim the data is skewed to the Democratic left, but that has little to nothing to do with socialism, and everything to do with power politics. Which is exactly what the Benghazi report is about. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. That song is about regret, a little open to interpretation. But I interpret it as a wish that those bullets were never fired, that they were back in the chamber that they came from. It's certainly not a song about wanting more ammo. Edit to say I'm wrong. It's a song about their career being stalled, the bullets were chart posistion "with a bullet". But still, not about ammo. http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=1704 Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Because it's such a disrespectful image and you needed to show how disrespectful you can be? Making fun of our elected leaders is a national pastime. You're canadian so what do you care? Maybe you need this to keep the sand out. Well, at least you are equally disrespectful of Canadians and your President. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. I'll comment on your OP. The subject line is misleading, there is nothing "shocking" in the CDC report. You are incorrect about the date of the report. The most notable and often overlooked fact you list there is that suicides account for the vast majority of gun deaths in America. Hand guns are made for killin' They ain't no good for nothin' else And if you like to drink your whiskey You might even shoot yourself (King-Van Zandt, 1975) Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. Thanks. I'm not a wingsuiter, not sure how I got into this one. I'd like you to note that I don't see any of the current AADs to be worse or better than the other. I do see differences in how the companies that market them do so. There is a thread in the rigging forum about the new CYPRES model. Actually there are many threads there where the nuts and bolts of how these devices work get speculated about in agonizing detail. 23. New video with Helmut Cloth doing some explaining. It looks like the solution they have decided on depends on the device switching modes for the bottom half and communicating that information through an audible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UWdomaTVgE&feature=youtu.be No matter what they decided to do, this is a difficult problem that will need to involve some compromise. 24. Just have to get approval to relocate those pesky control cables. Then it's a go! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  25. How many years of uncertainty will that create? The damage to financial industry is going to be even larger the longer it takes to settle the thing one way or the other. The UK can do well either in or out. But the transition or indecision period will be tumultuous. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
