God works in mysterious ways. But Trump is completely transparent to me. I seriously believe he handed this no win losing portfolio off to Pence for a good reason. Or maybe Jared is too busy?

Yes, I am looking at it as an individual. In the big picture the Earth could end tomorrow and on a macro level it would not matter. My chief concern is selfishness for myself, my loved ones, and people I depend on to make a living in the short period of time that I will exist.

I'm not advocating panic. But this statistic that I keep hearing about the flu is meaningless. We have a good grip on the death rate from influenza. IF covid-19 becomes as common as influenza, and IF the death rate remains at the current best guesstimate of 2 to 3 % it has the potential to kill at least 10 times the number.

This is threatening to become a major event. Borders are closing down and governments are nervous. And now Trump has decided that putting Pence "in charge" of US preparedness is a good way of nailing his VP's coffin lid shut. What are you going to do when it comes into your town? I'm a little concerned as a frequent border crosser for work. As authorities struggle to figure out the best approach many are over reacting and causing economic damage in a futile effort.

This one is unusual enough to make CNN this morning. It sounds like the 10 YO will live. Shot by his 19 YO babysitter who found a gun in the home and decided she needed selfies with it. When I post in the stupid accident threads I don't usually post the ones I find about inner city shootouts gone wrong. They are accidental victims, but the trigger has been pulled on purpose. But you have a point. Those are actually the majority of the reported accidental shootings. As far as political points go these incidents are the direct result of "liberal" gun laws. See, you like liberalism sometimes. There is hardly anything in the world of law more inherently liberal than the 2nd amendment to the US constitution.

Meh....I don't put a lot of store in the dizzy score. I'm not so sure the majority is left leaning, but many of the frequent posters are. Many of the people you consider left leaning don't really feel that way.They think they are moderates in a world going madly in a direction that is all wrong. "Left leaning liberal logic"? Whenever I hear this sort of talk I like to remind the speaker that they love living in a liberal western democracy. Liberalism as been the greatest force in society since the Enlightenment.

It's been awhile since this thread had a new post. That's the good news. The bad news is that there are people in Milwaukee in need of some Ts and Ps from some politicians and all of us as well. I was just there yesterday morning getting a reload. (Milwaukee that is, not Molson Coors)

I also posted this in the FB group, so forgive me my trespass. I've never had to touch, install, or service an Astra AAD. But there is a chance that a rig equipped with one is going to come to me for a repack in the spring. My first instinct is to just say no, but what do others do?

If you do not know and understand completely the answers to those questions you should not be changing your own slinks. You should not be learning how to do it by reading it here. You should get someone who knows what they’re doing to show you. It’s actually fairly simple.

This is the real problem. White middle class and higher Americans simply can not stomach the idea of sharing their expensive beautiful hospitals with hoards of poor lower class trashy whites, brown and black people, and of course immigrants from shithole countries.
