  1. Sort of like how black and white people were "separate but equal"? No problem there, Christians rule, especially white male Christians!
  2. About the same size as the hobby DZ I have a share in. Our assets are probably worth 200K Canadian. Which is $150K USD.
  3. I agree, a DZ is worth only what you can sell it's hard assets for.
  4. Nothing has happened to the US economy......yet. The biggest threat I see is falling oil prices killing off the fracking industry. But I think the Saudi princeling who is trying to screw with the Russians is soon going to find that he does not have the power he though he did. If he continues to work to force prices down by increasing his production I predict that one of Russia's proxies will attack their facilities to send a message and curtail his excesses. And Trump will bow to Putin no matter how much Jared is in bed with the House of Saud.
  5. I'm just caught the falling knife. Just as the market re-opened. Fingers are crossed!!!!!
  6. What's going on this AM that I don't know about? Or are you talking about the excellent buying opportunity?
  7. The people with the money still disagree with you.
  8. No, I do not concede that. I do concede that petro fuel engines are still the dominate types being produced. But this is pointless, we all know that. My point is that the people who run these companies have said that they see EVs becoming dominate in the future. I could go with your beliefs, or I could go with Mary Barra........
  9. I'm claiming that the trend is toward larger investments in newer technologies. Good old gas still dominates, but EVs have potential advantages that the likes of GM and Ford are rushing to exploit. Yes, they are still spending to squeeze more efficiencies out of piston engines, but that is a mature technology. The new investment is going into where they know they will need to be in the future. They sure as hell don't want to be leaving it to Elon. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/gm-shows-electric-vehicles-tesla-run-1.5486516
  10. Keep looking in that rear view mirror.
  11. Great, thanks for giving me a new word. But maybe now you can tell me why you think I should have "any kind of hermeneutical understanding of biblical laws"? I will agree that arguing with anyone over religious beliefs is pointless. It's like arguing with a flat Earther. Both have made up their minds and evidence or even common sense are both irrelevant.
  12. You are either not paying attention or you are willfully blind to the huge investments that capitalists are making in both EVs and renewable energy.
  13. More research tells me that the correct term is one word. coronavirus
  14. My wife is a nurse who takes this stuff seriously. The number of things she comes up with as potential infection sources is mind boggling. And all of them make sense when explained. I do my best not to think about it and hope for the best.
  15. Not me, and even my OCD wife has not suggested that I do so.
  16. Don't forget the reach around.
  17. I don't usually bother with correcting spelling or grammar here. I understand and I don't really care. But I'm tired of the non stop talk about this thing. It (corona virus) is not a proper noun.
  18. Yes, In the original King James version of course. Nevermind that funny language shithole country crap. Aramaic schmaramiac
  19. The whole point of religion is misdirection!
  20. Hmmm..... also, what seems like sliming away to you feels like the thread drifting off in a new direction to me. I guess you were talking about the work ethic thing, but I wasn’t really participating in that part of the drift. To me the thread subject is prayer.
  21. Ok, but I already stated my feeling about the sincerity of nominal Christians and their prayers. I will admit that I feel a little guilty about my level of cynicism because I am also fairly certain that at least a few of them are sincere.
  22. None. I understand that people who believe think that Paul, who “met” Christ after his death when he appeared as a “ghost”, or spirit, feel that his writings are a revealed truth. But to the rest of humanity it is seen as a “scholarly endeavour” much the same as astrology is.
  23. Politics is the art of the possible. A detailed plan would lay out just who will be feeling the pain and when they will feel it. This will result in more effective lobbying and money spent to stop it. Sometimes it is necessary to keep things a little vague.
