I have heard this morning that voter turnout is now projected to be higher than any election in over a century. If that is true, and all the ballots are counted, it will be very hard for anyone to say that the will of the American people is not clear.

Evolution continues and the fight between conservatism and liberalism will as well. I do not understand why people think non-whites are natural liberals. They are actually more likely to be conservatives. When the R party can no longer sustain it's grip on power by mostly appealing to race baiting it will evolve, it's complexion will change, and the world will keep on turning.

As I suspected. Libertarians dream of changing the society they live in to one with fewer rules and a society where everyone rises or fall on their merits. But most of them start from an already privileged position. What they fail to take account of is how the oppressive rules that they feel oppress them are a large part of what enabled us to get to where we are. They want to have the cake and eat it too.

I have never been able to understand just what a libertarian is. As far as I can see they are people who don't think there should be very many rules. Except of course for the rules that protect and benefit themselves.

The DZ I am a partner in had it's most financially successful season yet. Despite losing 6 weeks at the start and a couple at the end. Covid was low here all summer and no one got sick.

That is not much of a push. It's a nibble around the edges because they know the story is no good, but they can't completely ignore it. A push would be a story on the main section with an accusation against Joe, like the troll seems to be making here.

A lot of countries including Canada have first past the post voting, but several parties represented. And minority governments are fairly common. Israel comes to mind. I don't know if it has ever had a majority government.

Because they do not have a parliamentary system. So coalition building must take place at the party level and not at the legislative level. If you want to advance your cause you have to join up with a team. The fewer teams there are the better chances yours will have.

That may be. Everything I have said about them depends on the current attempts to develop what are essentially shorter range island hoppers being successful. But if that can be done, jump ships can also be done. And there is serious development with working models going on right now.
