Tesla, Prius, or F-250? Words matter.

It certainly does not contribute anything useful. And probably goes over the somewhat murky line that has been established here. Personally I find this sort of comment to be pretty lazy. I am pretty sure that if he worked harder he could find a way to say the same thing without resorting to name calling. It's morning, maybe he needs coffee still?

I am also an atheist, which has absolutely nothing to do with medical diagnosis. Your link is merely one of the several run by people who have an agenda and work hard at manipulating statistics in order to advance a point of view. We use the testing that is available at a reasonable price and is the most appropriate available depending on the circumstances. You see an element of panic. I see a system trying to cope with an influx of very sick people and a shortage of available staff. We are now 21 months into this thing and it is beginning to settle into a disease process that can be slowed and ameliorated, but not stopped. The phenomenon of vaccine refusers is leaving enough vulnerable hosts out there for the virus to still be the dominating factor in our health care system. Last night my wife came home from a 12 hour shift helping in an ICU. She doesn't like to talk about it much but she did tell me that a patient assigned to her had just come off of a few days on a ventilator that morning. A 68 year old woman from a very traditional and religious community. She asked my wife if she was vaccinated and if she was alright. April told her that everyone in our family was vaccinated and that nearly everyone she knows is vaccinated and we are all alright. The woman seemed to be thinking about it and eventually admitted that she was "considering getting it as well". That is a prime example of how a lack of good information and the spreading of bad information harms us all. The Brownstone Institute and other pseudo-scientific groups spreading their disinformation can take a flying leap.

Impromptu Mad Dash XCountry Road Trip - Lots of Pictures

Truckers see it this way. RVers have a lot of places they could park. Truckers worry all day long about finding a parking spot somewhere near the place where they run out of hours they can drive. I hate it when a reefer truck parks beside me too. But that doesn't make them assholes. Park somewhere else. It is far easier for you. Walmart parking lots are places of last resort for trucks. Do you buy frozen food? How do you think it gets to your store? -
The first McDonalds in Winnipeg opened in 1968. And it was considered a bit of a big deal. Our family went there and I can remember going up to the window and ordering a hotdog and fries. I just could not believe it when they told me I could not have a hotdog. What king of burger joint doesn't have dogs? Anyway, I guess I must have have one of those "where the beef?" burgers that I can't stand instead. The Big Mac and the Quarter pounder weren't a thing yet.

Since you are asking...... April 15, 1994- 100 Billion (McDonald's executives announce at the annual owner operator convention that they will stop counting hamburgers served because the count has surpassed the 99 Billion Hamburger mark so all the operators should change their signs to say "BILLIONS AND BILLIONS SERVED" and the signs have remained that way since.

I just changed one word of my reply. So easy!

Brownstone Institute? Credibility = Zero Like most of your links. Good grief, you must hang out in some weird places when you are not here helping us! https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/exclusives/95601

Most of us at least occasionally are guilty of throwing barbed words in our comments and replies. Some of us make it a part of our style, probably without even thinking about it. It is easy and it lets us get our feelings of aggression out. And it is nearly always counter productive. I attempt to do it less often and I advise others to do the same. Most of us could never get to "Wendy" standards, but all of us could do better.

Sometimes it gets tricky.

No kidding. Nothing you want to see happens till about the 18 minute mark. Then they destroy there main canopy, ride a spinning mal for a while and then open the last resort. On the second look it seems the second canopy is a main. I guess they had three in total.

It's really no wonder why DZ.com has become more stagnant over time.

Some are here to win, some are here to learn. No one should be thinking they can change minds. My arguments mostly come from the heart. I like to express why I believe what I do. And because I am lazy I mostly try to use the fewest words possible. -
Almost all of the USA that I see and interact with is what is known as "flyover country". Places where Jesus has many billboards and owns many radio stations. Trump 2024 signs abound in some of these places. Only occasionally do I see fat slobs doing the open carry thing in Iowa Walmart stores! (Iowa may have the fattest population of anywhere I've seen)
-
How will they stop it? Gerrymandering and restricting voting perhaps?
-
Apparently you don't understand the meaning of "eventually". When the far right wing takes over they will be the ones to forcibly disarm the population. People think of an armed population as a conservative thing, but in reality it is an ultimate revolutionary liberal idea. The people in charge will stop it using martial law one day. I have a better grip on American culture than you realize.

Before there were reliable firearms for duels men of "honour" used swords or daggers. It really had very little to do with the chosen weapons. As far as the intention of the 2nd goes, it is written quite clearly and I do believe it is being interpreted as it was meant to be. I am also quite sure that if these men had enough vision to see clearly into the future (which is not a reasonable thing to hope for) they would have written it differently, probably with more emphasis on the "well regulated militia" part. The 2nd is an error that will eventually be changed.

Good grief, is that text book reactionary or what? If it makes you think it's healthy. If it makes you angry it is not. -

That's because that damned Libs own all the server farms and won't allow hate speech. You have to go on FOX for for that. -
I note how "The two most notable U.S. school shootings in the early 1970s were the Jackson State killings in May 1970, where police opened fire on the campus of Jackson State University and the Kent State shootings also in May 1970 where the National Guard opened fire on the campus of Kent State University." Both clear cases of right wing excess.

It’s called virtue signalling and owning the libs. It’s working here exactly like he wants it to.

Yes, the right wing tends to get frustrated and run away because they need to be reassured, not challenged. Or they go over the top, lose their cool and break the rules resulting in a time out. Because you know, civil discussion is for “cucks”. -
Well....yes. But I was referring to number three.

What I don't get is how the parents can be charged with negligent homicide when the whole system is negligent.

That's okay. I was in full snark mode......
