The Canadian system is not perfect. But it is better than the one you have that causes the population to celebrate when its leaders are gunned down in the street. The results speak for themselves.

As a lifelong Canadian with many relatives working in and accessing the healthcare system I can tell you that there are no Canadians who want to trade our system for yours. I am equally certain that most Americans would take that trade if they could. But they cannot. It is true that we also have 1 percenters who do access the luxury care available in the US. Just as you have medical tourists who travel overseas for affordable treatments.

I don't understand why these people keep up with the lame excuses. Why can't they just admit that having the right to play with and own killing machines is more important to them than lessening the death and mayhem that results is? Seriously, man up.

As I have contemplated the end of this forum it seems like facing the prospect of losing a large partly dysfunctional family all in one fell swoop. Of course it has been slowly dying anyway but some of the participants that are still here are outstanding in many so ways. At this time however I would like to thank the mods for their decision to let pretty much anything go in the dying days. The resultant decline in the quality of the discourse by allowing people of such low ability to think rationally is making it a lot easier for me to prepare myself for the loss. Seriously, it was the right thing to do for other reasons as well. I certainly will miss the chance to interact with some great people in a way that I will probably never be able to replace but at least I will also never have to deal with the crazy nonsense that comes across my screen.

It occurs to me that most countries have a health care system. The USA is slightly different in that it has a healthcare industry instead. And changing that would be pretty difficult because it would wipe out literally trillions of dollars in equity built up in capital markets.

It is a little cloudy, but one thing is for sure. Deny, Defend, Depose is going to become a rallying cry. Corporate America is doing what it can to shut it down already.

The problem is all the suppression and hatred being thrown at this small group. If they are so small and unimportant why are so many laws being aimed against them?

Reopening under a new name is most likely doable. But someone would need to do it.
