And yes, it is sad that the military goes after it's own for stupid shit like this isnt it? You would think the military would understand war, but it's really not the military if you look at it.. It's all a bunch of dirty politics, .. Gotta make the Gov't and Military look better, who cares if we stomp on some little enlisted military puke, ruin his life forever because he got involved in a war, they are replacable right?     I am assuming you would have been okay with it if he had shot a US soldier in the same circumstances? If it was as bad as the post says it was, If I saw one of my friends suffering to the point that I honestly didnt think he would make it, I would probably do the same.. i would hope someone would do the same for me as well (as previosly posted again).. In the proper circumstances I would be alright with a situation like that. IMO... FGF #??? I miss the sky...     hey Tuna, you had no problem giving your opinion over on the death penalty thread. Does that mean you ahve been on death row and have been sentenced to death before? This whole, you can't talk about it unless you have been there is such a load of crock. You can talk about it all you want... Does not mean that you have the right to judge someones actions especially in a stressful environment like WAR. Like they said WAR is ugly, BAD THINGS HAPPEN.. I wish we didnt have to have it, but that's just not the world we live in.. Putting a solder who was fighting for his country and REALLY FELT HE WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING is just WRONG. FGF #???     I'm just gonna stress once again HOW MANY OF OUR SOLDERS HAVE BEEN KILLED BY PEOPLE WHO SEEMED "INNOCENT, DISARMED, AND NOT TO POSE ANY THREAT" .. They have got alot to worry about, and they are under more pressure than ANY OF US who have not been there can even begin to understand. FGF #??? I miss the sky...     I agree.. If you are NOT over in Iraq, a place where people are trying to kill you every day, a place where people who look inocent suddenly blow themselves and you up, you have NO right to judge how a solder acts, this case is unique with the "Mercy killing" aspect of it, however some of these others, how are you to know that the solder was not in fear of his life, who is anybody sitting in there house with a nice warm cup of coffee to determine whether he made a good or bad decision under the pressure that exsist over there.. We send our people to war, then sentence them for killing people? Seriously... And they say that THEY are fucked up... FGF #??? I miss the sky...     Robbery at gun point is one thing... Does a law keep the robber from having a gun? NO, they break the law, why would they not break that one also.. Guns will always be available, like drugs, legal or not.. Something that they may think twice about would be something like breaking into a house, or commiting some kind of crime in a public place where who knows if a home owner / person standing around has a gun ready in the house / or in the case of a public type place may have a conceled weapon (with a permit)... I have had a permit to carry mine, rarely ever used it, .. But it is there, and I have used it in the past, just adds that extra doubt when they know they may not be the only one with a weapon, I feel that is a GOOD thing.. FGF #??? I miss the sky...     Ofcourse the gun crimes increased, they made it easy for the criminals.. You do something stupid to somebody here in the good 'ol USA and you have this little thought in the back of your head that "hey, this guy could be armed".. might make you think twice,.. Make it illiegal and now the criminals know that only they have guns now, much less threat, easier targets, why not... I'll keep my gun(s) thank ya very much FGF #??? I miss the sky...     I still do this, usually atleast on the first jump of the day.. Those handles are definately NOT in the same place as they are when I do my daily pre-jump practice on the ground FGF #???     LOL... Somehow doubt they are looking for any submariner skydivers It's all good.. I can thank the military for introducing me to San Diego at least , Hell, if it wasnt for them I'd probably still be stuck in South Dakota or something 2 more years... 2 more years... already done 7, just 2 more to go FGF #???     Someday I'll get overtime, 2 more years :) Unfortionately, in the military, I can keep my 90 hour average work week and still get the same pay..     If your paying 1,400 in taxes, it must not be all that bad, because that means your making enough in 1 week to HAVE to pay $1,400..     Meby off topic, but how about the Cypress 2? I know that on a cypress 1 you would probably be able to see if your going to have a problem with your battery prior to the 2 year service because it pauses at the battery voltage when you turn it on... Anyone know if you can check what the status of your battery is on a Cypress 2 as there is no pause in the countdown from 10 or anything... Just curious... FGF #??? I miss the sky...     Honestly, I dont see what the difference is between what a sponsered jumper would say and what a non-sponsered jumper would say when it comes to comparing gear that many have not even tried.. I trained on Mirage gear, I now own Mirage gear, and I love it.. I tell people I love it, but using this thought process I shouldnt say that because I have not jumped anything else.. You wanna mark me too? I may have low jump numbers now, but that will not always be the case, and there is a pretty good chance that I still will be jumping the same type of gear, so someone wont be able to go off of jump numbers for me eather.. I really dont see what the big deal is, as a new jumper.. I think you will also find just as many posts saying why gear isnt so great that one person says rocks, .. I dunno... [/my opinion] FGF #???     I also dont really buy gifts for christmas, I tell everyone not to buy me anything cuz I'm not shopping for them eather..     Personally, I have ALWAYS HATED MIDI files on websites, still do.. Chances are, if I am on the internet (as I am now), I am playing MY OWN DAMN MUSIC.. Always have, always well, never needed a website to make a bunch of noise for me...
