It's the "M-Series" The Micron is the smaller version that you stated, the M-Series holds the larger canopies... It will have a safire 2 189 and PD-193R reserve. FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.

that is insane. I say keep the Mirage and blow some cash in the tunnel - at least it will make you a better skydiver. rm Those are the prices on the RWS website... I've been told it will be cheaper, I have yet to get dealer quotes on it.... yes, you should get about 25% off retail I thought everyone knew that. I still say keep your existing rig - unless it is REALLY ugly and from your 1,2,3 choices, it probably is. rm There is other things to it, I got the Mirage second hand, and although I can get the harness adjusted (which is something I was considering) it's just not a rig that I got to pick out and get custom fitted to me... I'm at the point now that I know what size canopy I'm gonna stick with for quite awhile, I know i'm gonna stick with the sport for long enough to justify the $, so spending the money for a rig that is built around me just doesnt seem like such a bad idea, and I should also be able to recover some of the money from the Mirage which is loaded and has about 150 jumps on it.. The mirage is also not ugly, a bit plain, but not ugly.. I dont think that overall after its all said and done the amount that it will cost me to get "my own" rig is really going to be that unreasonable. It's a chunk of change still, but what in this sport isnt. I've got about 3 hours in the tunnel already as well, and right now I'd prefer to just do the real thing Unless I get some people together who really want to work on stuff there, I'm really just waisting my time when I fly it solo now.

What you guys think, or is it a little too much? edited to add Rig 5 with black harness vs. yellow ... so much to decide with this much money FGF #??? I miss the sky... You do understand that the Skyhook attaches to the RSL, right? What is your reasoning behind not liking or using an RSL now? How does adding the Skyhook change things for you? Been discussed in other posts The RSL has flaws, flaws most of which have been fixed by Skyhook (atleast from what I have seen in videos / and read about) ... As far as the RSL, I choose not to use one because I have not needed it in two chops, and with the flaws it has I feel that its got a higher potential of hurting me then it does helping me, but that's just how I feel after proving to myself that I can do my EPs... I dont feel that the skyhook has the same draw backs. I dont know that anyone has found any real drawbacks to Skyhook unless your doing CRW, ....

I was SO happy to see that storm!!! That is one of the few things that I miss from growing up in South Dakota, I have not seen a good storm like we just had in years... I got up and was sitting outside just taking it in, was tempted to get the camcorder but then realized how pathetic everyone back home would be if I got so excited about a stupid storm that I had to film it But, pictures, those are awsome dude... I couldnt get shots like that if I tried. FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't. -
Loosing the silver ring because it makes me nervous when people are doing hybrids off of my chest strap. Using lime green reserve handle because it wont blend in with anything that I would wear, kinda like the neon orange cutaway. FGF #??? I miss the sky... Getting a bonus in less than a month... I have decided that I want Skyhook, and that means that I gotta order new gear. (damn) So, here is a couple that I have whipped up... Tell me what you like best, what you dont like, suggestions, cross between them, anything useful. I hate doing this, it's sooo hard to decide what's gonna look best.. I'm open to suggestions for something completely different as well if your willing to give them, but I am trying to avoid blue for the most part, everybody seems to use blue. Also just wanna say that I still love my Mirage G4, it's been a great rig, I have nothing but good things to say about it, but I dont like or use RSL, I think RWS has something great, I want it, I can pull it off now, so I'm gonna do it. Not changing rigs because I didnt like the old one. So, yea, my G4 will be for sale in the next couple months hopefully Thanks FGF #??? I miss the sky... I think you could implement code that would rule out a scenario like that. For instance, it would not consider the jumper to be "under a good canopy" unless their rate of descent was < 35 fps for 5 seconds, or something along that line. I don't see it as an insurmountable problem, maybe I'm naive. Mabey you can get one of the other manufactures to implement that, since there AADs are mode selectable... The "SWOOP" mode could do exactly what you state, and Expert mode could remain the way it is now for the rest of us that are not going to push those limits. I know that for my type of flying, I would prefer that they do not start changing the way the thing works, I dont need it changed.. Some of you do. Multi-Mode and selectable (like I think the other AADs already are) is the best option. FGF #??? I miss the sky... Actually, he's not even related. I just slipped him $20 for the plug. Well, it's working... Everytime I see these damn threads I think about buying a new container just because I want skyhook .... You wouldnt happen to offer military discounts now would you Bill? FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.

Reply in nobody in particular: I've got mixed feelings about this, I dont want people on my DZ that take other peoples shit, but leave his websites alone, leave them out of it. You guys slam his store, I cant believe that nobody has looked at it for what it is, which is one of those MLM Run Your Own Business schemes... He's not selling stolen stuff on the website. To put comments that he would sell stolen stuff in his guest book is just f*cked up. You (and I) may not want someone who takes shit hanging out at our home DZs, but we should still be able to respect the person that he really is, which is not the person that some illness may make him out to be... From what I've seen from previous posts here, I get the impression that he really has a sencere heart, he's just a little sick. Sorry if I just sounded confusing, but lets let the people who are paid to take care of this stuff take care of it.. Atleast until he comes to your DZ and you decide that you have a problem with it.. Lucky for him, it sounds like he does have some really good friends at his home DZ. I really hope that he can continue to find a place to do what he loves to do and feel welcome. Like I said, I'm full of mixed feelings here.. FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.

I'd say that they release updates for a reason. If you get one, take the time to upgrade it to the latest firmware version (2.6.0) ... It only takes a couple minutes. FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.
