  1. The DELL is going to be a fine computer for you... I dont like Compaq at all, and I dont like HP desktops, but that's my opinion and as you can see here opinions are like assholes and everyone has one. As far as building your own computer, just dont... I find that I will usually spend MORE money building a computer myself, but I do it because I have very specific things that I want in my computers, I cant just goto dell.com and order what I want. If you build yourself and it takes a shit, well, you get to figure it out... If you get a Dell, they can help you with it. I've delt with Dell alot since we had a ton of them at work, never really had any issues with their support.. Had to call them alot for new parts, but that's to be expected when you have a whole network running the shit. FGF #??? I miss the sky... 4. I want to get my coach rating soon, but I dont ever want to or intend to make any $ off of it... I just want to be able to jump with new jumpers if I so choose to, not that I'm all that experienced or been around a long time compared to many of you all. I really enjoy jumping with the new jumpers, it's a challenge to me to keep with them sometimes which is fun, and their excitement rubs off. FGF #??? I miss the sky... 5. Just wanna mention that you should not have to wait for a reserve repack to practice pulling your cutaway handle.. maintenance should be done on your cutaway system every month, this does not require a rigger and does require you to pull the cutaway cable. (clearly if you do not know how this should be done consult your local instructor or rigger about this) In my two cutaways, I have never peeled the handle, and I have had no issues getting the handle out (first time 2 handed, second time one handed) .. I just pulled. .. but that's just me. But: Nice job FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.

  9. Wow are you serious? You try making 12-15 jumps every day especially in 110 degree or better heat. Sounds like we may have to have a challenge of sorts. Lazy? HUMPH!

  12. I think the novelty of the merge will wear off and the sites will become two completely seperate groups again pretty quickly. I think that it will be a good thing for both sides, especially if they fix up rc.com which seems to have alot of issues IMO (with software and speed) ... Mabey we can get a couple of the things that they have going for them as well... FGF #??? I miss the sky... 21. Go for it, I'm going with a cross between #1 and #2, with a couple other minor differences... I'll be ordering the rig attached to this post hopefully this weekend I just hope i dont ever see you running around with #2 and I realize that I would have rather designed it like that FGF #??? 22. I tell people that it's a risk that I choose to take, with the realization that it could kill or seriosly injure me even if I do everything right, but that it is very unlikely... I dont want my friends getting into this, or even try it, thinking that it's totally safe... It's just not the right mindset to have when your jumping out of an airplane at 3 miles above the ground. FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.
  23. That's a better answer... leave a piece of the airplane holding on to my rig by the straps due to lack of time to put it on FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.
  24. I think the only way I would consider exiting an aircraft like that would be through the tail, if it has an exit there... I've just gotta think that there would be some jet blast even going out that door, really low tail too.. I dont think you would have a whole lot of chance making that exit work good for ya.. FGF #??? 25. That makes me happy, actually. If you aren't going to take the time to secure your network... My old ISP actually had instructions on their page on how to share your internet with neighbors if you so desired to do so .... Really like that company, they basicly have a "do whatever you want with your connection as long as its not illegal" policy .. I ran an FTP server and all kinds of crap off of that one.. They even gave me reverse DNS on the IP... FGF #??? I miss the sky... There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.
