  1. I'm not sure there's any greater valor or respect deserved for having done it. However, most people that they have fucked up at some point, seeing someone fuck up far more and come back resonates with them. someone - from their perspective - who hasn't been there is untested in most peoples eyes. Sorta like the whole AAD vs doing it yourself. Until people see that you did your EPs even though your AAD saved you most people don't just assume that you're able to handle it all yourself. A lot like reading non-parents talk about raising children (or watching a new spouse deal with stepchildren if they've never had them before). So - I think I"m trying to say that the additional respect is imagined, and purely a perspective thing. However, it would be freakish to say 'wow well done, you haven't done ANYTHING!!! BRAVO!'. Except maybe your parents. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  2. ah hell, i understand that too. I realize it's readily available, but remember that for your family it's considered natural to grasp those concepts. If you're never exposed to how a hammer works and someone gives you a hammer later in life how do you know what to do with it? TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  3. damn it. i hate you. this is awesome. WE HAVE ORBIT! now I'll get nothing done. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

  5. Using the Gasson scale, how cool are you? TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  6. Because those that have been there and triumphed have lived and experienced far more than the person who never experienced anything and frown on those that do know. Whats that saying about 'those that arrive safely at death...'? TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  7. "need I go on?" Considering most people have said that you don't have to work for those employers if you dont want to it would seem that you will regardless. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  8. I fully expect it to after the devestation of the US in the next 9 months. Post Apocalyptic United States oil prices are sure to sky rocket. I've seen Mad Max 1 2 AND 3! TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  9. I'm sorry, did we hijack it in the wrong direction, dear kettle? TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  10. I understand your predicament (been there, done that, got the hell out of there asap). As far as 'fair'. Who said it was fair? The average US citizen tolerates far more than the average European, but you guys laugh at how socialist they all are and how inefficient and how much greater the taxes are (real world: no fucking difference, i pay far greater taxes in the US - difference: i have more toys, same standard of living though - but lots more stress). I dont want to make this a 'US vs the world' thing. But all those things that cause people to scoff about how fucked up and close to communism that Europe is is the reason why they have privacy and aren't fucked over by their employers and big business on a daily basis. And those that would defend the US by saying that the above paragraph isn't true have truly missed the point and the truth. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  11. As an immigrant I struggled with the lack of credit history. It's amazing how quickly your rating increases once you get beyond that initial negative rating due to it's length. And how many hundred points it leaps seemingly overnight. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  12. me neither. As far as rain, maybe you should ask people in Washington about that. Britain just does grey, very very well. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  13. I'm not sure I'd go that far based on the lack of information given so far. skydiver, you're gonna be better off asking someone you know who can sit and help you troubleshoot than ask questions here, simply from the communication factor and you're not being overly familiar with the mechanism. I doubt its a major problem that requires godlike geekness, just someone who knows how to get a machine on the network and isnt afraid of ipconfig /all :) TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  14. thats the true irony of drug testing. You only catch the stoners. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  15. Obviously it didnt work in favor of the customers in this industry. The prices and returns are outrageous in comparison with the UK. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  16. What a boost to my self esteem! Thank you! TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  17. Rebuilding credit is pretty simple. It just sucks in the short term. (I base this on having to build a credit record since coming to this country) TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  18. I still haven't worked out American banks. It's a huge con. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  19. I try to teach mine a similar philosophy. And then I take her to a wrestling show and hit people with chairs TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  20. basic security issues. Many desk jockeys are more able to cause way more problems than someone doing a 'dangerous' job. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  21. I think there's also a great deal of information that you might not even recognize as part of his teaching you and vice versa for the guy without the rich dad. It's more about state of mind than hard information transference. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
  22. Mostly what you see is simply sleight of hand. Rarely are the props gimmicked, unless absolutely necessary. Even then it rarely works out that well for the person who wanted the gimmicked prop. Example: Foley vs HHH street fight included a 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire. Foley took the real barbed wire, HHH decided plastic would be safer and it still sliced him up badly - HIAC between the two used real barbed wire and no gimmicks (except the ring). STEEL chairs hurt. There's no trick involved - you get hit with a heavy folding chair and it hurts a great deal. I'm a little old (and smart) for ladder matches - the companies I work with most often tend to avoid putting on the big gimmick matches simply because of the injury factor and their 'specialness' - usually once or twice a year. We've done a couple of table, ladders and chairs matches - A quick trip to Home Depot and you're all set for 20 minutes of fun. What I've always found fascinating is that the stuff that the fan sees as most brutal is often the easiest, and the stuff that most fans dont even notice is the stuff that really hurts and is tough to do. (for instance, no one thinks anything of a clothesline when they see it - now imagine a 200lb+ guy slamming his bicep into your throat, chin or face as hard and fast as he can - urk).
