I look at MENSA this way: if you need to join a club to prove to people how smart you are then you're probably not that smart. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

Andy I think it's a different culture. 18 year olds in the US, like 21 year olds would drink until they die. Europe, where drinking laws are sane, that sort of binge drinking doesnt occur. The UK straddles the two. Drinking laws are somewhat stupid at 18, which leads to a great deal of binge drinking - although less hazardous than US binging, statistically. However, pub culture (something which is totally alien to the US) means that most UKians grow up in close proximity to beer and people drinking it - which takes a lot of the edge off. So basically, yes, American's can't hold their drink - don't make or drink decent beer (Sam Adams excepted) and are generally like weight pussies until its too late for it to be cool. I base this on myspace pictures of 'THE DAMAGE!!!' and it being of 9 bud light cans and 4 empty hard lemonade bottles between 4 people, including 1 who's over 230 lbs. Fuck those american legal age drinkers. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

Because their lack of jurisdiction over satellite is based on the cable tv situation. Considering those that voted that in failed to realize the spread of cable to the masses and have publicly spoken out regarding it there's going to be a fight about radio. From a purely business perspective: If Business A has almost a century of experience and shitloads of money and is controlled by Law B, then Biz A is sure as hell going to use its shitloads of money to ensure that Upstart Biz C has to abide by similar rules, because it fears it's own death. Of course, Biz A misses the fucking point and is doomed to obsolesence anyway. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

somewhat lacking in the humor gene? you'll notice that I put a little / in there to allow for both points of view. Now, back to the point of the thread. Can we please have Gay too? you seem to be the spokesperson for gay usage. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

heh heh Wife has OCD. My favorite is to move the tableclotch a fraction skewed, enough that its unrecognizable but subliminally noticable. Picture frames are an endless source of entertainment. but dont tell her I told you that. I have another friend who cannot handle there being an odd number of things on a table - it all has to be in twos. Fun and frivolaty of adding 1 bottle of hot sauce, or an extra salt shaker. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

I've got into watching movies on the laptop, especially in the middle of the night. I usually work with a movie running in the background - I do a lot of good technical work when there's intense movies playing - now I just rip the audio tracks and play them at work. Which can be a little distracting for people who come talk to me while characters are screaming and raving with various splatter noises. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

the OLD 1990s Cronenberg movie is: "Since a road accident left him with serious facial and bodily scarring, a former 'TV scientist' has become obsessed by the marriage of motor car technology with what he sees as the `raw sexuality' of car-crash victims." Very dark and intense. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
