  1. Cool, didn't know the name of em. The recipe I found called for a mexican cheese, but I tried it and it wasn't very flavorful. So, made in mexico, modified en USA!
  2. I totally agree with you. Maybe you missed my point. What I meant to say, is that if you are the only one affected, I see no reason to make a law against it. Kill yourself, smoke some crack, eat butter for every meal. Whatever. As long as your body doesn't land on me from that tall building, or your crack smoke fumes aren't going into my house, I say go crazy. But I really do believe that during an accident, not wearing your seatbelt can hurt other people. This would happen from not being able to control the vehicle while being thrown around. So please buckle up yo! I gotta agree about insurance increases due to injuries as well, but I think a much more pressing matter is uninsured drivers.
  3. If driving without your seat belt only effected you, then I would have no problem with it. But imagine this situation: You are driving on a 4 lane road, and the car next to you all of a sudden swerves into you. You are driving a truck, and get launched into the passenger seat, and all the while run over a family who is walking on the side walk. If you had been wearing a seat belt, maybe you would have been able to control the vehicle enough to keep it on the road. You deserve the ticket. Motorcycle helmets however, I believe would not change your ability to avoid hurting someone.....
  4. You are lucky. CHP busted me the other day and I went to court to fight it and lost. $550, 2 points, and 30 day license suspension. Of course, I was doing 115mph in a 55mph zone according to the PO...........
  5. A buddy of mine back in high school threw a twinky against a wall one time, and it stayed there for almost a full year. Looked exactly the same as the day it got there too.......
  6. You don't use hash oil? You are missing out man! super easy to make, and the best way to dispose of trimmings instead of tossing them. All you need is a piece of pvc pipe and a butane lighter refill. Not that I would know anything about any of this..... I heard it from some guy, I swear......
  7. Dude you gotta check out "high as fuck" by the same guy. Way funny. And I'm pretty good at making paper planes, MOTHER FUCKER!
  8. If you have health insurance, your hospital should have a smoking cessation class. If your take it, they give you the option of taking some pills that can help allot. This method worked great for me, along with patches. Once you are past 5-10 days, it becomes easier. Chew a shitload of gum and have toothpicks available at all times. Half of the addiction is doing things with your hands/mouth. Good luck man, its worth it!
  9. Man I love bbq. You guys should try this recipe for bbq corn I have been using recently, its based off of a mexican recipe and is super good. Take the husk off of the corn, and throw on the bbq. You want it to be slightly charred all the way around. In the meantime, take some mayo and mix it with a little bit of your favorite spicy powder, I use habanaro or whatever is handy, or nothing at all if your don't like it too spicy. Grate up some parmesan cheese really finely. As soon as the corn is off the grill, spread with a thin layer of the mayo all around, and sprinkle cheese on top. Serve with a lime wedge. It is great because you can do it right on the grill with the meat. Don't be afraid of the mayo! Lots of people seem grossed out but it comes out tasty. Who has some recipes for grillin meat? I have been experimenting with smoking in my weber with great success, however I am looking at getting a dedicated smoker for really long smokes. A dry smoker is what I want, right? P.S. the secret to great bbq is good beer with it....
  10. She is OLD!!! When are we going to have skydivers over 100?
  11. Yes, you are required to jump once a month until you have an A license (25 jumps) which I believe makes it 2 months. But the main problem is the fact that you will not be learning anything new, just relearning the same stuff on those jumps. So your skill will stay really low, and that is dangerous. Lets break down the costs: Say you have $200 a month you can spend. Thats 1 tandem a month, 4 jumps with rental gear, or 8-10 jumps on your own gear. We are trying to make it as cheap as possible, so we want to end up jumping our own rig. It will take about 6 months of saving to get enough for training ($1200) and a year for gear (~$2400). If you do your training now, you will be splitting that $200 between saving and jumping, say 2 jumps a month renting and saving $100 for gear. It will take you 2 years to get a rig, and those 2 jumps a month you are making are mostly pissing you off because when you are done for the day the group you were just jumping with is still doing a cool ass 4way or something. Its all a trade off, jump some now and less down the road, or vise versa. Do you want to skydive, or be a skydiver?
  12. Damn lots of injured pill poppers in this thread. Well, add one more, fractured my radius (arm bone) 2 days ago. *Throws back some 5/500s like candy*
  13. When I first got certified I wasn't jumping enough, and needed a few refreshers, which is expensive. The reason I have been in the sport for 5 years is because of a few extended breaks, due to injuries. Jumps 15 onwards have been in the last 6 months, and I have my own rig so its cheaper than renting. I suppose I haven't learned my lesson though, I am typing this with one hand, because 2 days ago I broke my arm and now have 6 weeks off. Damn dirt bikes! I hope you didn't take offense to my post saying to wait, I just think if you really want to jump you should do it 100% instead of juggling buying gear and making jumps, which is hard to do. I hope you can find a good deal on gear, shop around. P.S. Lodi does not do static line anymore. I have some bummed friends because of this Edit to add: None of my injuries were from jumping
  14. It costs less to do it in one go. Not to mention multiple jumps in a day saves u gas money for driving to the dz....
  15. You should figure out a way of ensuring a solid income, because the money that you are going to be saving every month on training and a rig is going to turn into tickets once you have everything. If you can't be sure that you will be able to do at least a few jumps per month its not worth it in my opinion. It would be like buying a race car but only having enough gas money to drive it for 10 minutes every once and awhile. You should save up enough to do training and buy gear at the same time, and just do a tandem occasionally until then. If you aren't jumping while saving for gear, by the time you have enough for a rig you will need to do training again.....
  16. Nice bike! The class is really worth it. Don't get any habbits stuck before u go though, otherwise its going to be hard to pass the class
  17. isn't the whole scene before they jump trying to say that skydiving is like a drug, but a natural one? why don't u have it say "skydiving, makes crack seem like a bowl of wheaties" or something
  18. Thats not shit man, the other day I downed somewhere around 1300mg. It was just an experiment really, but it had the opposite effect I thought it would, I was actually tired. Caffeine pills and blue rockstars make it easy to obtain huge numbers....... Still though, for someone not used to it, 650 is going to make you trip out
  19. I had a good time in homer, AK for the summer solstice. Well, I was actually in ninilchik, but visited homer a few times while there. The whole kenai peninsula is great.
  20. Isn't there some law in texas, where if you walk in on them you can kill em both and not go to jail? Some sort of crime of passion thing? Get back with her, move to texas, and install a microphone in her purse.....
  21. I thought by the thread title that you were saying a winery collapsed, in which case I would have been bummed.
