    I agree, AFP gives the best of both worlds. AFP requires you to do 3 tandems and then you start AFF but with only one instructor instead of 2. This allows you to trully enjoy your first jump rather then completely stressing over it. It's also your first step in your training. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

    I jump mostly with my Gatorz and occasionally with goggles depending on the jump. I love my Gatorz for jumping and everyday use because they are very light weight. PS. As a student, you may not be able to wear a full face or shaded goggles, much less sunglasses. Check with your instructors before you find yourself about to load the plane and be told you can't jump.     If you have the 3 or 4 people to take it up and they have a pilot, I don't see why not. It cost $35, it used to be $25 (I think). The biplane used to $65 but now its $100 Damn gas prices Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

    Peharps I didn't express myself well. What I meant for my post was that his fear of pulling should not keep him from going foward. His training should provide the basic necessary tools to save his own bacon, eg, pulling, cutting away, landing, etc. The AFFI should be seen in the same light as a cypress, when pull time comes. It's your responsibility and its your life, don't rely on someone or something to do it for you, but if sh*t happens its a pretty good backup. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

    Yeah, I jumped it yesterday at around 6:30, heli load 7. I hung from the strut and then just let go, and fell backwards, really cool. The funny thing was that while climbing out, I was afraid of falling off I didn't get the roller coaster felling where your stomach goes up, but for the first time it felt like there is nothing under me, no drag, just like falling

    Once you take the ground school, things will fall into place, and you might do several practice pulls (I did). If everything else fails and you can't find it, your AFF instructor will pull for you

    I just got my first notice to renew my USPA card. Once you get the licenses you want, what is the point or benefit of paying dues and keep active with the USPA (I know about the insurance but what else)?
