  1. So, do we blame the Democrats for stopping that? Kennedy & Johnson tax cuts in '64. The point being that we need to wrap some historical context around the raising or cutting of taxes and both parties bear responsibility in each situation AND we've seen some of our best times when both worked together - for the US economy. We need to stop the loud voice anti - other party for taxes. Both raise and cut taxes. It's not a "Demoncrats" "Repubicans" are the antichrist discussion. "WE" need to work together. Period.
  2. When people sense they aren't being heard; they tend to get loud.
  3. Woke: “Aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)." ~Merriam-Webster Woke: "past of wake." "Alert to injustice in society, especially racism." ~Oxford. Words are used to communicate. They change over time and take on new meaning as society adopts them into the use of language. To be woke is to be aware. To be woke is to be attentive. To be receptive. To be aware, attentive and receptive are positive traits. Therefore, the title, "Woke is a Joke" is to be un-woke or unaware, inattentive and unreceptive. Personally, I find these traits to be unappealing. Unfortunately. the title "Woke is a Joke" leaves no room for exploration. It can only be defended. It's human nature to defend a hard line proclamation. As we get older, we learn that not everything is so definitive. Even math has a flaw. I know I said that I was done with this, but It's been eating on me that we as a society can't even agree, with all the evidence, that while we may have made a lot of progress in civil rights since 1962, we have much further to go. I also have a hard time understanding veterans who served with just about every race, color, religion or national origin - who by the very nature of being in the military had to rely on those who were "different" to stay alive - would not be at the front of social justice; rather than the rear.

But, the "magic" doesn't work 100% of the time if you don't try it. It's why I didn't get too upset about the Ivermectin, Hydro, and other myriad of things Doctors were trying when we were in the early stages of COVID. They were trying. And, according to the study you posted; it helps when = > 70% of the population gets vaccinated. No Vaccination is 100%. We still have the flu (and its annual mutations) and some people who get their flu shots still die from the flu (100 years later). But, it's a fighting chance that's better than nothing. Anything greater than nothing is "magic."
  6. Cute. Cause that's not what you set out to do.
  7. OK. How about XYY, XXYY, XYYY, but wait, what about XYYYY? What about the brain's effect on gender? I know, what about women born with higher levels of testosterone? etc. etc. Like I said, not everything is boolean. Now, I'm not going to tell you I know everything about it, but I know enough to know that I can't take a hard stand on saying what someone is or isn't. That's between them and their Doctors.

  9. I'll bet an XX Male will make your head explode. Not everything is boolean.
  10. Cancelling the Keystone project would at most affect the price by about ten cents/gallon - If that. The cold snap in Jan/Feb of this year was so hard that it shut a lot of refineries in the south down. It is strictly a supply & demand issue. But, you got an MBA, so you knew this. Nor, is he printing two trillion dollars. There's a lot of reasons not to like Joe, but make them factual.
  11. Evening, Jerry. I have to admit that I read that poll earlier today and it posed some questions for me, because even in my rural circles, everyone's pretty much done with him. So, I question where the poll and didn't think the questions were structured well. The talk now seems to be towards Trey Gowdy. Keith
  12. Evening, Jerry. I'm pretty much done with this topic. He's going to continue to defend his thread topic. Have a good week. Keith
  13. But, you don't know until you observe & try. Same guy who provided your quote.

  16. Fair enough. What's your solution plan?
  17. Winsor, You started a thread to elicit the type of responses you got. And, people tried for about 450 replies up until you posted the 11 page rant. Once you posted that title; there was no exchange of dialogue or open discussion. It started out as a tennis match and you turned into a game of rugby. Keith
  18. I am seriously shooting from the hip here, but here goes . . . You might send RiggerMick a PM (he designed the Reflex) and see if he can help - https://www.dropzone.com/profile/8349-riggermick/ You might also try to get in touch with Dave Singer of Peregrine to see if he'd manufacturer you one: https://peregrinemfginc.com/contact-us/ Finally, you might also send a PM to RiggerRob for a directional steer: https://www.dropzone.com/profile/569-riggerrob/

Winsor, you're really starting to piss me off with your Brent impersonation. If you're going to provide information - it helps to read the whole thing - cause I can assure you that I will. You read the headline and skimmed it for those points that fit your argument, but you didn't actually read it. The study’s conclusion was not that vaccinations don’t impact infection, but that steps such as masking, social distancing, etc. should be used along with vaccination to fight the pandemic.
  21. What Bill said at the end was, "I realized I have a lot to learn. Working on it." And, I think what he said about "Woke" = "Aware" is important. On a similar note, I had a contractor in the house and we were discussing this - he's quite educated, degrees in econ from a Calif school, etc. And he used the "I have black friends" thing. I spent a couple of days chewing on it and came up with this hypothesis: Maybe what they're saying is, "I used to be more prejudiced than now" - IOW I'm aware that I wasn't. So, instead of beating them up with the Ooooooh, SO you have black friends routine; ask them when did you realize you were prejudice? BTW - that is a CRT principle.
  22. Now, you're starting to get it. If a person notices wrong-doing . . . Do something about it.
