  1. Well, first of all - it's a bullshit poll. I don't trust polls where I can't read the questions to determine bias. And, my favorite thing about this particular poll is: Look down at the bottom - that 70% is an average of percentages. I'm not a fan of that methodology: https://www.robertoreif.com/blog/2018/1/7/why-you-should-be-careful-when-averaging-percentages
  2. Be polite, cite your source: https://www.politico.com/story/2019/08/18/nra-gun-lobbyist-1466701
  3. "Sounds just like another GOP lobby PAC." You are correct.
  4. The tide is turning, Phil. This next generation joined the NRA cause their mothers & fathers belonged to it. Since about the late 1990's those kids realized that it wasn't an educational organization, but a lobbying firm and started turning elsewhere. There's been a big influx of joining your local gun range and doing regional "meets." Plus you get more out of your local gun range - training, weapons education, storage, safety, etc. In time, the NRA will cease to exist.
  5. Oregon joins 11 other states in requiring gun owners to store their firearms in a gun room or safe or use a trigger lock when it is not being carried or under their control. https://www.statesmanjournal.com/story/news/2021/09/25/oregon-new-gun-law-goes-into-effect-what-know/5863197001/ And no one tried to rip up the 2nd Amendment.
  6. Somewhat akin to the camel spitting contest in the Woke thread.
  7. I always wanted to open a drive-thru convenience store where you never have to get out of the truck. Picture a gable roofed barn where you pull your truck in through the back, beer & liquor attendants on one side, medical marijuana, cbd oil & pogey bait attendants on the other. Pay at end of the barn. Then, pull out to the gas pumps. I'd call it the Nirvana Quik Stop. Have a good weekend, sir. :)
  8. Bet the shit really hit the fan when he kissed Shanha the humanoid.
  9. As you know; I put about 25-40k on the Harley every year. I am no longer amazed at the number of parents that pass me at the speed of light with kids in the back whilst texting. I'm stunned that we _only_ have about 30k vehicular deaths a year.
  10. Well, except for the whole RFID Chip and Luciferase slowing down the process.
  11. No. No, you don't. You're no more an independent thinker than Kermit. Someone else is your mouthpiece while another animates your movements. You don't compile your own opinion from a multitude of sources; you throw one thing out there and point at it like it's the holy grail of thought .and when it gets no traction; you post the same thing again. You don't engage in discourse well, you just get louder. You're opposed to "Woke" but you really don't even know the basic tenets of it. I have reflected on our conversations over the years and I truly don't remember you this rigid and never have I been such a poor judge of character. With that; feel free to block me and I'll do the same for you. We'll get along much better that way and the noise ratio in here will go down. .
  12. Like everything else; I just assumed you weren't paying attention.
  13. How many times you going to cite him - or was there some hidden meaning in post #666
  14. I'm really confused here. At what point did it become better to point the bottom of your spine to the planet than using your hydraulic shock absorbers to land?
  15. Can I get that in a Starbuck's gift card, please.

Perhaps there's something to learn here. If a man isn't willing to wear a face mask, then what are the chances he'd wear a condom. Women can change history. No sex for you! /soup nazi voice.
  17. Many Native Americans were not happy with the removal of the maiden, "Mia" Historically, the illustrator portrayed the Native Americans in that area in a positive light. The mountain ranges were used in much of his art - and, the circle around her head was a tribute to her beauty. In the end, it was not some "leftie" who decided to remove her; it was a corporate decision to re-brand all of the LoL products. If memory serves, one of the decision-makers was the son or grandson of the original illustrator. As to your use of, "Squaw." Please feel free to visit Oklahoma some time and address any of the Native American women of some greater than twenty tribes in this area and call them that to their face.
  18. The point being that even the D's seem to have their issues. I do not, but perhaps we can rub penis heads and the first one to smile loses. :)
  19. You can start here: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/09/28/us/politics/pelosi-infrastructure-house-vote.html
  20. I obviously missed the mark. My point was intended to reflect on the historical context regarding the cutting or raising of taxes. It was Keynes theory that pulled us out of the depression. With that - it was Keynesian theorist who recommended to Kennedy to cut taxes. My point was it's really not a D or R issue; it's an economic necessity at times no matter which D or R are in power. Hence, the Washington Post article. Hell, even Obama cut taxes. It's all about expanding or contracting the flow of money..
  21. Apologies. The thread tone was anti-GOP. 18 members of the GOP voted for the infrastructure bill. On a similar note - I don't think the news media did a good job of explaining the 1T infrastructure bill when compared to the annual 798B military budget.
