I understand. In this case, I have lived it and seen it for too long. People are getting killed while we shake our finger. The only way to deal with a charging bear is with a large caliber weapon.

President Zelenskyy, I just got off the phone with Chancellor Scholz and we have full logistic and operational mass person support for the use of Ramstein Air Base. With that, I have just mobilized the: 82nd Airborne Division. 10th Mountain Division. 1st Cavalry Division. 2rd Marine Division 1st Fighter Wing. 2nd Bomb Wing. The 3rd Ranger Battalion, 10th & 19th Special Forces Group. We will be there in 72 hours and ask for your representative to meet with us and the other 29 NATO members. If Russia has not withdrawn by that time, we will begin forward operations 72 hours after our arrival to Ramstein. President Putin: we have no desire to go to war with Russia, but if you do not leave the Ukraine in the next 72 hours; we will.

More Monday Morning QB'ing. He didn't ask for a review of the situation. He asked what you would do.

I wish I could argue the point.

Took you 20 years to play that card.

From a personal perspective; most of us are old enough to remember the onslaught of Russian aggression during the Cold War. I don't like what's going on and see it as no more than Russia wants the Ukraine's natural resources. Part of me hopes there will be some bargaining chip that will have Putin stop this. I'm not sure if shaking our finger at Putin and scolding him like a fourteen year old and threatening to take away his phone privileges will be enough. I don't think any of us wish to return to that point in time where we're stuck in another forty-year Cold War pointing missiles at each other. Been there; done that.

I'm going to submit a request to Merriam-Webster's punctuation manager for you requesting the definition of an exclamation point be changed from, "a mark ! used especially after an interjection or exclamation to indicate forceful utterance or strong feeling" to "Fuck the US." It'll save you a lot of time.

Surveillance Drone ADS-B Out ADS-B Out works by broadcasting information about an aircraft's GPS location, altitude, ground speed and other data to ground stations and other aircraft, once per second. Air traffic controllers and properly equipped aircraft can immediately receive this information. This offers more precise tracking of aircraft compared to radar technology, which sweeps for position information every 5 to 12 seconds. Radio waves are limited to line of site meaning radar signals cannot travel long distances or penetrate mountains and other solid objects. ADS-B ground stations are smaller and more adaptable than radar towers and can be placed in locations not possible with radar. With ground stations in place throughout the country, even in hard to reach areas, ADS-B provides better visibility regardless of the terrain or other obstacles. Aircraft operating in most controlled U.S. airspace must be equipped with ADS-B Out. ADS-B In ADS-B In provides operators of properly equipped aircraft with weather and traffic position information delivered directly to the cockpit. ADS-B In-equipped aircraft have access to the graphical weather displays in the cockpit as well as text-based advisories, including Notices to Airmen and significant weather activity. I know who Koonin and Dessler are, but I also know who Joe Rogan is and choose not to give it any time.
-
I listened to him for about eight minutes once (which was about four minutes longer than I gave Limbaugh). That's about all I could handle. His position on covid was so very wrong and perpetuated some really bad information to a "large audience." He is irresponsible.
-
Pause and re-read it. Cause what I read is that Joe Rogan can tell you what to think. I'll give you my opinion of Rogan. He started talking one day and a couple of people heard what he said, so he started to say it louder and those two begat two more, who begat four, who begat eight until one day he had a Limbaugh type following not because what he said was right, but because it was popular. And then, some dumbass sees this and says, "I'm gonna give Rogan a 150 million dollar contract," not because he's right, but because he's popular, which only validates Rogan to himself and so he gets louder. Hmmm.. maybe he can tell you what to think.

Just pause for a second and think about how fucked up this comment is.

After listening to Cruz; I think I see where a couple on here get their platform from, rather than cracking a book on the subject. It reminds me of TQM in corporate America. Those who studied it and knew it well, those who thought they knew what it was and turned their nose up at it, and those who didn't know anything about it, but made money selling programs. I used to say that Deming was turning over in his grave.

Apologies. I should have expanded my reply. I knew what you meant and was being a little whimsical. Appreciate the compliment about talking it through. Both sides have good points and at some point, when the US saw kids getting shot in their schools - well, we should be addressing the issue logically and not letting it happen over and over again. We can sacrifice some privileges while maintaining our rights. We have to.

Been called a lot of things, Joe . . .

Armalite did make an AR-14, but that was before the AR-15, so it's been a minute.

There are those that believe the answer is always a bigger hammer.

True, for now. There are two states (CA & MD) that have knee-jerked to Elon's Boring Co. Flame Throwers and have used the Title 10 CH 44 language of "Dangerous Devices" and are illegal in those states. Other states have written up legislation, but to my knowledge that's as far as it's gotten. w/r/t weapons - your choice. There's a grizzly stuffed at the Million Dollar saloon in Jackson Hole, WY that was killed by a man using his teeth. Keep up on your dental work also.

If you're referring to Bates as an "experienced" cop; he was no where close. He was a friend of the Sheriff and when he retired from business (after donating big money to the Sheriff's campaign) decided he would approach his friend about becoming a reserve (volunteer) deputy at ~70 years old. First weak link in the chain. It was quite the shit show.
