  1. No rush. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Too many variables for a "Yes" or "No." What I do know is; I have very little chance if I don't have an AAD. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  3. It's a 182 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. Kewl. Just one of those scenarios best deserving of a face-face "Round Table" discussion. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. I would strongly encourage you to print your questions out and take them to a local Instructor/Rigger. There is more than one question and a multitude of variables with each question. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  6. But, you'll get back to us when you do, right? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  8. You can do all that unconscious? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. I know where it is and jumped there this weekend. Will see you this weekend. By the way, here's the code we were talking about for your website. They punch in their zip code and it gives them google map directions to Mom's DZ. http://www.malevolent.com/weblog/archive/2005/05/01/add-google-maps/ Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  10. The one signed by Col Kittenger. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  11. What you probably saw was Don Boyles going up for his nightly sunset flight. In 1975, Don Boyles was the first person to BASE jump the Royal Gorge Bridge. He launches from Harvey Young airport. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  12. For me, it's not so much the aerodynamics of the aircraft as much as it's a safety issue to have the door closed the first 1,000' in the event a reserve near the door pops open while the skydiver is belted in. IMO, the door should be closed to 1000' for this reason and should only be opened after the one opening the door has announced they're going to - and ensuring the seatlbelts are off before opening it. 13. We're only getting one side of the story here, but it really doesn't matter. If what you're saying is half true, the part that is most disconcerting is your "best" friend, 1) if so, then he should be the mediator, but sounds like he's sided with his brother, 2) you need to realize that he will be his brother for life and that's a stronger bond than friendship. They may have assumed that things would always be the way they were... Band of brothers and all. But, you're changing, growing, learning new things, etc. Your goals are different than theirs and that's changing the relationship. Previous assumptions about the relationship no longer apply. The real question here is not whether you're an asshole. The real question is, "Are yours and their goals disparate enough that it's time for you to move on?" Which I think you've answered. If that's the case, then how you handle it will determine if they remain your friends or not. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  14. His son & daughter would tell you what he learned from his mistakes and why he became a better man for it. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  15. Well, since I'm not a rigger, the best thing I can suggest is to let one answer as to a "preferred" method. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  16. Why not call your rigger and ask him/her their preferred method? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  17. I'm sensing that Anger Management classes piss you off. People who tell other people they need a Anger Management class are into behavior modification. I've always felt behavior modification is a great tool and have found that busting them in the mouth so they shut up works well. 18. What do you weigh? Can you perfrom everything on Billvon's Downsizing Checklist on the 210? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/safety/detail_page.cgi?ID=47 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

    1. Plug in the monitor. 2. Right click on the desktop. 3. Select "Properties." 4. Select the tab, "Settings." 5. What type of display? 6. If it supports multiple monitors, it'll say. If not, run to BB and pick a new card with memory. Plug it in. 7. Repeat Steps 2-4 8. View attachment 9. The 2 monitor screens labeled 1 & 2 are positioning for your cursor drag (if the external is on the left like mine and you want the cursor to go left, set it up like mine. 10. If you want it the opposite way, drag the monitor 2 to the other side. 11. Highlight the monitor and Play with the checkbox "Extend my windows desktop on this monitor" till you're satisifed. Enjoy... My next montior is a four headed dragon. Or a couple of 30 inchers.... "More power" ...Tim Allen Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  21. You may get a lot of "It coulda beens..." But, it'll be difficult to specifically answer without a visual inspection. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  22. Probably not. Exit weight should be around 254#. With your height (same as mine) you should maintain a normal fall rate. But, like others suggest, call the DZ. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. I tried one of those once... well two attempts. It did not go well AT all. Opening the door does amazing things to the A/C's desire to roll up on it's side. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  25. Some of the older model tandem harnesses rode the artery in the leg causing one to fill a "little light-headed and nauseous." My guess is this was true with your harness and we were all taught to adjust our student's harness if they complained of this. Which you did and it was resolved. This is generally not the case with student harnesses. Please enjoy your AFF dive with the confidence that you may experience some discomfort with the legstraps that will pass with time... kinda like riding a horse. till you get used to it, it's gonna be a little uncomfortable... If worse comes to worse and you still have concerns... then by all means do another tandem and ask for it to be a Category B (working) dive (same block of instruction as your first AFF jump). It'll count towards your training and your license. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
