  1. I have to agree with TK on this point. Taking a broad stroke labeling approach only serves to create emotion and loses an opportunity to educate. "Nazi" just turns into a camel spitting contest.
  2. Ummm... kinda not the guy to put on a pedestal for training dogs.
  3. 100% accurate. Nor was it a spontaneous act of protecting the chickens or other family. She took it to a gravel pit to put it down when she could have let an animal rescue group ascertain it, find it a home, or let a vet determine if it was to be put down.
  4. There's no reason to come after me.
  5. Phil, the picture is not that of a wirehair pointer. EDIT: nor does it reflect a fully grown dog. Not justifying the act; just laying out the reporting inaccuracies.
  6. TK brought up the irrelevant gun in post #534 Ya know professor. I really don't care. There is a greater majority in this country that feel there should be some scientific datapoint where we all acknowledge that after that point - terminating a child is killing it. You addressed the question of one day before delivery by screeching the woman's rights; but you never really said if you were ok with it or not. So, how about you address that question or is it too "icky" for you?
  7. It being a process crime, the next step could be jail time.
  8. I think we've reached the end of this discussion. We all have a position somewhere on a sliding scale in which even both sides find moments of intersection. Needless to say, this will be a contentious subject in this election cycle.
  9. I did a couple of times but most recently in post #547
  10. In short, I was playing along with the beat me up game and turning the tables a bit to find the "icky" part. My position still remains the same and I do wish that RvW had not been revoked - because I do believe in the end, the women have a lot more to consider in their personal situation about the issue than men. Cause, ya know - not all men can be trusted to do the right thing.
  11. Depends on if you're trying to remove an asshole.

  14. OK. Let's use TK's argument. Why are guns my, your or the government's business? Because they kill.
  15. You & I disagree on the rape part, but we can disagree as gentlemen.
  16. Nope. Been very vocal about being opposed to the death penalty (in here and on the streets).
  17. OK, so it sounds like we've fast forwarded the science of it. You good with abortion the day before the baby's "delivery" date?
  18. Well, 84% of the world view is not a minority. But, let's stick with the science for awhile. It sounds like you're not good with the 12th week either. At 13 weeks, the fetus's organs, including the liver and pancreas, are starting to function, and the fetus can move its arms and legs, suck its thumb, and form a fist. The fetus's bones are also beginning to harden, especially in the skull and long bones. So, you good with drawing the line in the sand at week 13?
  19. Ok. So after the embryonic stage, the fetal stage begins at week 11. You good with organs + heartbeat + fetus at week 11 or 12? All laws are based on some view. Including murder.
  20. OK. So, let's say you want to encompass all of these factors which is the embryonic stage which generally runs from the 5th to 10th week. So, all of these organs + heartbeat = life. You good with that?
  21. TK - from your posted article, "At the end of the 4th week of gestation, the heartbeats of the embryo begin."
  22. True. I was asked of my opinion, not that of Texas Law. I disagree with those states that have no exception. In fact, I'll remind those on here that I was opposed to the reversal of RvW - for these exact reasons. For me; it was better to have a national referendum that countered my opinion, than to have state laws that became egregious.
  23. Both of you quit trying to spin shit. Rape. Incest. etc. all falls under physical and psychological trauma.
  24. I do not believe in abortion after there is a fetal heartbeat. After that, if there is imminent physical or psychological danger to the mother; then it is between her and the doctor. Now, you use the word "Agency" as a sword in the all-encompassing liberal way. Swing the label and hope the one in front of you ducks. Agency is not so much about abortion as it is about empowering her with contraceptive tools. gender_womens-agency-review_2020-march-05.pdf
