  1. The tent was cool Jack and Lynn, You guys are awesome!! The tent, the free transportation! I owe you a ticket or two for sure. Next time we cross consider it a done deal. Rob
  2. o.k. everyone relax. She didn't mean it personally just figuratively. She has her own standards and that is her choice not ours Personally I like the fact that she has an idea of what she wants. Alot of people have no clue. Go get coffee, a donut or something and take a chill pill..
  3. I gotta buy one of those cameras.. lol
  4. I am curious as to how often some of the higher end swoopers actually ABORT swoops? Here is a breakdown of 5 jumps I made intending to swoop. I aborted 3 of them because things just weren't right. 1- I was setting up over the swoop pond at about 2000 feet. The bomber was sitting relatively on the end of the runway. This is a big plane with 4 big props on it. Although it was 200+ yards away maybe even more I decided to abort and land in the back of the landing area as far from that plane as I could. Seemed like a good idea to abort. 2. I was entering my turn in altitude at about 500 feet getting ready to intiiate my dive. When I hit my brief down wind leg I noticed an abrupt drop in altitude blowing past my turn in altitude. My no go point is about 420 feet. I flat turned and did a slight carve landing away from the pond aborting the swoop again. 3. I aborted because of canopy traffic. Alot of canopies decided to make the end of the runway and the swoop pond their playground. I aborted, again landing away from the pond. 4. Everything went fine. No traffic, no planes and I hit my turn in altitude. Clay watched this one "but didn't get the video" lol 5. Everything went fine again. No red flags went up and I initiated the dive at 500 feet. So out of 5 intended swoops I only initiated 2. In part because of traffic in the air and in part just plain trying to use a little common sense. Most of the people I watched HIT the pond displayed the "I HAVE TO SWOOP" actions under canopy? I seem to look for a reason not to swoop. And only if everything is right do I continue. Does anyone abort swoops this often? I would say that out of roughly 35 intended swoops I actually initiated 27ish into a full blown swoop? Any input? Rhino
  5. I don't live in a trailor? I have an apartment! cool! My goodness.. Feels like Viagra is being passed around in here.. lol Rhino
  6. I LOVE your brutal honesty!! It is so cute Why don't you tell everyone how you got the Golf cart rental for free oops.. Was that outloud?? I thought that was very cool by the way!!
  7. Glad I was a positive suprise Thank you for your compliments You were pretty cool yourself! God I want to go skydiving!! Here is my breakdown for the week. 1 - c130 2 - helicopter jumps 1 - balloon jump 1 - bi-plane jump 1 - high altitude jump 35 - regular jump tickets, mostly out of Mike's King Air so I could head to the swoop pond and get my feet wet I liked it because I was first out of the plane! So 41 jumps total in 7 days.. MUCHO FUN!! I got inniated into the Rodriguez brothers parented by Andy Anderson "a swoop god" as "Segador, THE REAPER" Rodriguez. That was kind of cool. A REALLY good looking famale I didn't know doing a body shot off of me? Cool! VAL, that was suppose to be your job lady!! But that's o.k. I forgive you Also had my Z1 and my jumpsuit stolen? What the hell? The bytch helped me pick out a new Rw suit and some Freefly pants. So if anyone doesn't like them she is partly to blame Love you Bytch God what a fun week.. I didn't want to go home.. I still don't want to be home. Let's all go back to Rantoul and set up shop! lol Rob

  15. The judge that started it is asking for a re-hearing on the subject.. lol Too much heat on his rear.. lol
  16. Fair enough.. TO ANYONE READING MY POSTS.. They are strictly informational and observations that I have experienced. I am neither giving suggestions nor making reccomendations as HOW TO. I state opinions the same as others and tend to AGREE with those I know and respect in skydiving. Yes I may be a bit aggressive but I am by no means dangerous. Not in the least.. While I said I believed the dig could be done I made it clear that I wouldn't be doing it myself for quiet some time. Anyways, when I post my 2cents from now on I'll be sure and clarify safety and "this is to only be done by professional swoopers down low".
  17. I agree.. I won't be doing it low for several hundred more if not a thousand jumps. But it is fun up high. And the canopy APPEARS to have no problem whatsoever getting around the corner, even forcefully. That was my observation, and my opinion was it could be done. I didn't go telling everyone to get out and do it nor did I give advise on how to do it, I said it can be done... lol
  18. You have said yourself that you have not landed on rear risers, and have only practiced up high. Pulling yourself out of the corner with rear risers is not something that you have experienced, it is pure speculation. It is not speculation. I practice high specifically to get the feel for the canopy. I am in agreement with not getting in the corner to begin with, that is obvious. Again I don't speculate, I share my experiences. Rather then telling people they can't do things why don't you share yours?? And my apologies for flaming.. Not my intention at all.. I would be more interested in hearing your method of rear risering than telling me I am speculating. You are a great canopy pilot? Great!! Please share the wealth.. Rhino
  19. Everything should be practiced up high before even attempted down low.. Anyone with a BRAIN knows that.. Nothing I have said is BS.. And if you have jumped the crossfire2 you might have a fucking clue as to what I am talking about.. Apparently you don't.. That is your problem not mine.. I stop my canopy in the air with rear risers all the time without any ABRUPT stalling. Yes it is sensitive, yes it has to be done perfectly, yes you could fall on your ass if doing it wrong on landing but that is better than the alternative of 2 broken femurs. You or any other skydiver on this planet can take or leave what I am saying. What I am saying is something that I HAVE EXPERIENCED. Maybe you just can't do it and that upsets you? That I can understand. Learn to fly up high then steadily progress down inch by inch.. Only a FUCKING IDIOT would start doing maneuvers like hooks and rear risering down low without first practicing up high. Just because you can't do something doesn't mean it is bullshit.. And I agree, if one does his or her proper homework and sets up properly there should be no pulling out of the corner. That is a given. We were asked a question about being in the corner with a broken brake like and could a rear riser dig be successfull. I believe it can be done.. Sgt. Cowan
  20. Actually you can dig out of the corner with rear risers.. I practice it up high all the time. The stall speed on my crossfire2 is so low that I have plenty or rear riser control range to deal with. The response time is instantanous and I believe you could get out of the corner with rear risers if needed. Anyone disagree?
  21. hehe,, funny... I second that.. Others apparently don't..
  22. I've done TONS of work on my new crossfire using rear risers.. I won't be using them down low for a while.. The response time is amazing.. The canopy dives allot more and stays more vertical when in rear risers vs toggles. I find myself making turns and diving sustained allot more now with rear risers than with toggles. I would dare say rear risers are now primary and toggles are secondary up high.. It is tons of fun but very risky down low if you haven't dialed things in.. I am not at the point where I will do it low yet.. Be safe.. Rhino
