  3. I am curious as to what puts more force on the canopy lines?? The opening shock or pulling g's constantly?? When I open at 14,500 and front riser, rear riser, toggle turn all the way down I would think I am putting some pretty good force on the canopy line set? LT, I would think it would depend matbe on what you do under canopy? Just an idea?? Not quiet sure?? Blue Skies .....
  4. I grab the hook knife and start cutting away!!!!!!!! Or for preventive maint install a hard housing for the risers and the cutaway cable on the risers? Blue Skies .....

  14. My first jump under my Diablo110 I had a toggle come undone.. I opened at 8000 feet so I had plenty of time. I took that canopy down to 5000 feet before I could gather what was wrong.. It spun and dived THAT fast.. What did I learn?? First to expect a diveon opening and to immediately fly out with rear risers.. Second if that doesn't work let BOTH breaks out.. lol That spinning, diving opening scewed me up big time.. By the time I got out I was dusy as hell.. I tried my damndest to get that thing out of the dive? Looked at the lines? Canopy? Harness? Then after releasing the breaks I felt like a dumb ass.. I learned.. Rhino Blue Skies .....

  17. Thanks for the post... Since I have been jumping a smaller elliptical I have pulled for the most part above 4k.. I tend to expect a spinning dive although I have yet to open in a dive with my new crossfire2. I still expect it. My old Diablo110 use to like opening that way.. Rhino Blue Skies .....
  18. Did it lose pressure? Partially yes it did.. The canopy was shifting from the left to the right while directly over my head still flying in the same direction. To me it felt like that familiar sabre accordian over your head feeling only even worse? It was on video. At 20 feet the canopy got a mind of it's own and got VERY squirley. I got the same results from both jumps which were hop-n-pops from 13k. I very definite alarm went off inside of me saying I DON'T THINK SO. I did have the chest strap loosened and the slider down and I was flying in a lane that was at least 1000 yards downwind from any obstacles that could have caused rotors.. Other canopies were flying fine, the Xaos I had made me uncomfortable. My new crossfire feels like it flies on rails. That Xaos did not feel that way at all. The openings were nice and the bottom end was amazing on the xaos but something was off for me? That is why I got rid of it. It felt very unstable to me. I don't believe I was loading it enough?? Who knows.. That was my observation. Rhino Blue Skies .....
  19. You aren't officially a newbie until you jump.. You are still a Whuffo
