I feel your pain man.. I'm in Florida.. over 1400 miles to get here from Michigan.. I am dreading the drive back on Thursday.. Blue Skies .....

JD, Once again I did not say GO BUY A CROSSFIRE2 at 1.85 and HAVE FUN!!!! I was telling you and others what I experienced under that canopy.. Rhino Blue Skies .....

Chrome, Again, you haven't seen me under canopy. Of my some 300 odd jumps at least 100 have been hop-n-pops from altitude. I am a STUDENT of canopy flight.. I love it.. That is why I goto the dz.. To fly a parachute and to constantly improve under canopy. I don't remember making any recommendations to anyone?? But I do suggest you stay big until you are ready to downsize.... Andy, There you go posting someone elses experience.. Do you have any of your own to share with the rest of the class?? At least I am sharing MY experience not everyone elses. I am not a pro but I am a damn good pilot for 300 skydives. and TO ME flying my crossfire2, 97 at 1.85 is not insane. I WILL NOT HURT MYSELF, and it is very easy to fly. It is easier to fly and land than a triathlon150 at 1.2. It's a different beast, if you haven't tamed the beast you and others need to quit getting personal and mocking.. I'll be at Rantoul, you can see me fly with my whopping 300 jumps and make an educated comment for yourself.. I'm not sitting back saying hey, you have a penis, Joe Bob raped some chick a month ago so you are going to rape some chick next. That is what you are doing to me.. Saying because someone else has done it I am sure to do it.. I'll bet my ass that I never will. And I will get better in 1000 jumps, and I will go smaller and I will have more fun.. And you will still think I am crazy. But that's o.k. I will still be doing hop-n-pops racking up more canopy time than God himself because it is what I love to do. Andyman? Were you referencing me? 200 jumps and uncurrent?? And, MAYBE you should see me under canopy before you make assumptions as to my ability. As vlad stated "thank you vlad" I was stating what I observed in flight. If you want to jump the crossfire2 at 1.85 then that is your choice. I for one get complete enjoyment from it and love the control the canopy gives me. Have you even flown a canopy at 1.85? Blue Skies .....

With the 14 jumps I have made so far on that canopy.. 12 of which have been 14k hop-n-pops I have plenty of canopy time to give an opinion on the performance.. Where do I get 20% from? It turns AT LEAST 30% faster than the Crossfire1 It dives AT LEAST 20% longer than the original crossfire1 with less effort. Rear risers respond a good 30% faster and more abruptly. And I mean ABRUPTLY. Fast and furious. My 97 lands better than the 109 I was jumping. It is faster. The glide flattens VERY nicely. Carves are a good 20% better than the original.. This is my observation. An accurate VERY ACCURATE one at that. If you don't agree then jump the 2 different crossfires at comparable wing loadings yourself and post differently. But don't go throwing John LeBlanc at me saying he said this. He said that. So far, the 14 jumps I have made I've logged more canopy time, flat turns, rear risering, flares, harness movements, carves, rear riser stalls, and so on and so forth on that canopy than most people that would have made 50 jumps on it. People mock what they don't understand.. Rhino Blue Skies .....

I also put 12 jumps on my new crossfire2 this weekend.. I am jumping a 97 at 1.85.. The difference between the old and new? New is 20% better all around to make a long story short. Not sure how they did it but this canopy kicks absolute ass.. Anyone jumping a crossfire2.. A few quick observations.. LOOSEN THE CHEST STRAP!! If you don't the canopy becomes succeptable to turbulence and such.. Loosen up that strap, bring the slider down and you feel NOTHING!!! Huge difference.. I did 10 hop-n-pops this weekend under my new crossfire2, in the seat above 14k every time.. Had a dog fight with a Xaos27-68.. I COULD KEEP UP
