Actually the dinosaur has been replaced by a sparkly pink heart. It works out well though, when I get excited you can feel my heart beat! I won't be around this weekend. I am stuck in the frozen wasteland known as new jersey this weekend. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

Since you are planning on jumping at z-hills anyway, I would recommend Sally Hathaway. That way you can do some tunnel time and maybe some jumps with her as well. Look me up when you gt to the hills and we can get you on some fun skydives. Cora knows where to find me, -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  9. So are you saying you almost died twice this weekend? Cuz I saw a little landing incident as well Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  10. You are very welcome Kris. I wish I would have known while you were there that you were the Kris from DZ.com. I had no idea just thought you were some guy named Kris. By the way you managed to spell my name every way but the right one Oren. C'mon back anytime and we can rebuild the supersonic base. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  11. I absolutely agree with the grounding policy. If nothing else it will server as a deterrent to others and show that the DZ takes safety seriously. I do have a question though. I know of a recent incident on an AFF jump where the student began to tumble out of control at pull time. The instructor (fairly experienced) chased the student and ended up pulling very low after dumping out the student. The instructor had a very slow opening canopy and had a cypres fire causing a 2 out situation. Now we all know that as an AFF instructor you are taught that at a certain point the student is on their own, but I can imagine that in that situation all you are thinking about is saving the students life. Should the instructor be grounded for 30 days? Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  12. I can't help it if my canopy has a bad attitude! Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  13. You can also try to contact Sally Hathaway at Paragon Rigging in Z-hills. She does most of the maintenance on Jedeis these days. I believe other than Brian himself she is the only person that regularly makes Jedei linesets and relines old Jedeis. you can email her at sally@teamsynchronicity.com She is a master rigger and I know she has made plenty of sliders. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  14. Hey now...there was no need to go there. I view that as a personal attack! Aren't those against the rules? Greenies...punish her severely Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  15. I couldn't agree more. I just thought it was funny that not only did she make the same stupid mistake twice but threw her handles both times. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  16. I have kept my handles on every mal I have had up to this point. I will also honestly tell you that it was never a conscious effort. Actually quite the contrary, on my first mal I reached up to grab my reserve toggles and it took me a second to figure out what was in my hands.
  17. But assault weapons were...sorry you can't have it both ways. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  18. Hey Bri, The biggest differences that I found were in the front riser pressure and the lift at the bottom end of the flare. The Katana has without a doubt, the lightest front riser pressure of any canopy I have jumped. It was actually very close to the Riser pressure on the Samurai 1 prototype of yours that I jumped for a while. The lift at the bottom end of the flare is in a class by itself. If you find yourself low in the corner, the extra lift is a comforting feeling. I am by no means putting down the Samurai. As you know I have around 500 Samurai jumps and it is an awesome parachute. I am just answering the question that you asked. I don't jump either as I jump a velocity, but I have jumped both and wanted to give you some feedback. One thing I forgot to mention is that the Samurai is far superior when it comes to glide. I have never jumped a canopy that was better at making it back from a long spot than the Sam. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  19. You are absolutely right. I thought about it after I posted. If you wanted to, you could make a set of reuseable ones as well. Most people never bothered to make them reuseable though. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  20. People have been making their own soft links since long before Slinks existed. I have had softlinks since my first rig and slinks have only been around for a few years. They only take a few minutes to make and are no big deal. The only advantage to slinks over the home made ones is that slinks are re-useable. The home made kind need to be cut off when you disconnect the parachute. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  21. First of all your posts speak volumes about your attitude. Second of all we see people like you come and go in the sport all the time. Newbies that know everything and won't listen. Some make it, some realize that they are in over their heads and quit and some get hurt or killed. I hope you will fall into the first category. Time will tell. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  22. Clearly you don't know Matt. I have already discovered from previous threads that at 50ish jumps he knows all there is to know about the sport. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

  24. Honestly I can't remember what happened. Like I said, it is in the forums somehwhere. All I remember is that whatever country she was in banned the handles. It was either finland or Sweden if I remember correctly. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  25. Ok, I have kept out of this argument, but I gotta call bullshit on this one. I am a 35 year old heterosexual male that was brought up in a household with my mother and her girlfriend. Most of the adults that I knew growing up were Gay and Lesbian couples. Not only was it not psychologically damaging to me, but it opened my eyes to the fact that not all people are the same and that doesn't make the "different" wrong. Anyone who knows me can attest to that fact that I am a lot of things but psychologically disturbed and damaged aren't words that anyone would use to describe me. My mother has been with the same woman for 25 years they own two homes and a business together. I find it to be a disgrace that they cannot have the legal benefits that go with being married. Nobody is asking you to run out and become gay all they are asking for is the same rights afforded to everyone else in this country. As for the question of family members marrying. I find it to be kinda gross, but if you want to marry your relative. Have at it! -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
