I still have a dent in my forehead from that. Hey maybe you should get one of those neptunes. They look like they won't hurt as much! Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -

I never pick on your skydiving. I can't help it if all the dropzone dogs start to disappear when you come to town. Damn Koreans Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -

Sounds great....we are starting at 8:00 because it will take us a while to get everyone registered and sort out the teams. If you plan to come for the weekend, look me up on Saturday and let me know you are there. See you then -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -

Z-hills 4-way Scrambles - Sunday, March 7th
okalb replied to okalb's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Pretty much all skill levels are welcome. I don't want to put a jump number requirement on it. I think most people know if they are qualified to participate. Last year we had a person with only 70 jumps on the winning team, so it is hard to say. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -
Z-hills 4-way Scrambles - Sunday, March 7th

Hi Everyone, Skydive City/Zhills will be hosting a 4-way scrambles meet on Sunday March 7th. Those of you that participated at the meet we had last July will probably remember what a great day we had. The huge turnout that we had last time (9 teams) is going to be blown away based on the interest I have gotten so far on this event. For those of you that missed the last one, here is how it works. All participants are separated into one of four skill level groups. One name from each group is randomly selected and that becomes your team for the day. We have some very experienced 4-way people helping out and they will be on hand to coach as well as captain teams for the day. The meet will consist of 4 rounds drawn from the IPC dive pool. The cost of the event is 4 regular jump tickets plus a $30 registration fee to cover the cost of video for every jump. Cool prizes will be distributed to the winning teams. If you are interested, please be at the DZ by 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 7th. If you plan to be there, please let me know by PM just so I can have a better idea of how many people to expect. Hope to see you then -Oren www.skydivecity.com Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana -
Tony puts dacron on his because it opens much softer. With the amount of stuff he puts on his head, he wants nice soft openings. Supposedly it doesn't slow the openings down any, it just absorbs a lot of the opening shock. My girlfriend "lauras" switched hers to dacron as well after putting a few jumps on Tony's. She recently had neck surgery and wants to make sure they open softly. She describes the openings as jumping into a sofa. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I know someone in z-hills who put 2500 jumps on his stiletto lineset. When it was relined finally he hated it. Said if flew funny with the new lines. I guess he was used to it being out of trim. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

Different canopies have different riser pressure requiring different techniques. I don't know of anyone that uses their whole hand, but I put 4-fingers in just like a toggle. The front riser pressure on a Velocity is pretty heavy and there is no way that I could hold the riser down with only 2 fingers, I still keep my toggles in my hand at the same time. Having big hands myself, these Salonis sound interesting and I have been thinking about getting a set. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I have seen more bad tattoos than I care to think about, but if there was ever any question regarding the existence of tattoo "ARTISTS" I think Anil's work proves that there is such a thing. Check out www.anilgupta.com Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

It is a birthmark...it took almost 100 hours of tattoo work trying to cover that birthmark and now you can barely see it Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I have a friend that claimed a lost cutaway main on his home owner's insurance and it was certainly not worth it. He was only given the value of the lost main, not the replacement cost. The main was several years old, so all he got was around $350 after the deductible. His rates were promptly raised because of the claim. He is also unable to change insurance companies now because they all ask if he has had any claims in the last three years. When he says yes, they decline coverage. It was certainly not worth the $350 he got to put towards the new main. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

I smoked anywhere from 1-3 packs a day for 11 years. I just had my ninth smoke free anniversary. It can be done! It gets much easier as time goes by. Just take it one step at a time and don't ever let yourself have just one. You are a smoker and there is no such thing as just one. Just don't ever give in and eventually you won't want one anymore. After 9 years I can finally say that I will never smoke again. Actually I can't stand the smell now and I don't like when people smoke around me. That is when you know that you are truly over it. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

As the plane captain/load organizer of the lead plane (Cora's plane) I want to say that she kicked butt. She doesn't have many jumps, she has never been on anything that size before and she was right there. I also want to add that we were not easy on her and didn't give her a cake slot. She was a diver a few rows back from the door. Nice job gurlie! It was a fun jump! Sorry to say that Tony didn't have his still camera with him on the jump, but he does have video. Anyway, that was the first formation load of the season. We do them every Saturday at sunset, so there will be plenty more where that came from. By January we often end up with 3 otters in the sunset formation load. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
