Ahhhhhhh sun n fun....all locals run...hide..save yourselves!!!!! We at z-hills actually hate sun n fun week. Lakeland airport is way too close for comfort. There are always all kinds of maniacs flying through our airspace unannounced. It scares the crap out of us. Our pilots are not usually too crazy about flying that weekend either. If you were at my DZ I would tell you to please stay away from the students. No offense, but you don't have the experience to know what to say to the students/passengers. Some students respond better to calming statements, some react better to joking around to calm them down. The longer you have been around the easier it will be for you to tell how to handle the different students and how to read them. It would be in your best interest at this point to stop trying to help and start learning. At 3 tandems you know almost nothing more than the 1st time jumper. Please stop trying to put yourself above them. I am not sure if you are trying to show off or you really think that you are helping but either way, you are not. The thing that bugs me most about your post is the thing that nobody replied to. You should never let your tires get to the point where you couldn't pass inspectoin. This is not a car and bald tires will kill you VERY fast. You ride a zx-9, take care of your tires! Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

Simon was my first AFF instructor back in 1997 and I can safely say that if it weren't for him I don't think I would be skydiving today. There is a long story behind it, but as a student he really went out of his way for me. I changed DZs in the middle of my AFF for personal reasons and my first day at my new DZ he just showed up there for no reason but to lend moral support and be there for me. If it is under the skin it doesn't. You could walk through most metal detectors at airports with metal closed tightly in your hand and it won't set it off. That is why they make you take your hands out of your pockets when you walk through. Once I set it off and they had me walk through again with my hand over my belt buckle and it didn't go off. The more I think about it, the more I like the requirement for landing with double fronts. Look at it this way, if nothing else it will teach them that a little more speed on landing is not a disastrous thing. Yes you could custom order a Safire in ANY size. That was one of their big selling points. If you wanted a 134.5 you could get one. But remember that based on the measuring differences, it will be much smaller. -OK Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

That is kinda what I was thinking. A web site I found talked about how sensative they are to smell which is why the pepper works. It suggested just throwing some mothballs down the hole and they won't go down there anymore. Now the big problem is catching all the moths Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
