  1. Good question! To pull the slider down over the ledges, you must pinch the ledge against the front riser. It takes a couple of seconds more than just yanking the slider down over dive-loops.
  2. Australia: up to D licence (200 jumps), then from D to E (500 jumps) you must have an AAD or an RSL. Above 500, it's up to you.
  3. If nothing else you have my sympathy .

    IIS Question

Just install Apache. It's much easier
  5. If you're curious, contact the APF and ask them about cloud-jumping procedures in Australia.
  6. Sunpath have a pretty cool method of reinforcing their dive loops. I don't know enough about rigging to describe them properly and there's not a huge amount of information on the Sunpath website - just a shot in the rotating image at the top of the page. I use ledges and like 'em. edit: you might find some interesting opinions in the Gear & Rigging forum. Lots of experienced HC folk hang out there...
  7. RR#1-Floating ripcord; couldn't locate.
  8. Are you willing to kill people?
  9. Thailand is pretty cool. Make sure you head up to Chiang Mai - a good place to go trekking in the highlands or to learn to cook Thai food properly. Scuba diving in the islands is pretty cool too. Bringing a rig? I don't think there's a huge amount of jumping in SE Asia, though there is a tunnel in Genting, in the Malaysian highlands. If you pass through Sydney, come say hi.
  10. Is there a bit of flab around the belly? - Drink less - maybe cut out the beer Sun-Thu? - Do this.
  11. There's lots of places that are cheap to get to from the USA, but I've no idea how many have decent dropzones. If you want to go in "a few months", Europe might be a good place to avoid - it'll be cold and wet! New Zealand doesn't have a huge amount of sport jumping. Despite containing myself and Squeak, Australia is cool. Lots of cool places to hang out, lots of surfing, diving, and sharks. South Africa might also be a decent option? No idea as to South America...
  12. Smartarse! Cookie's paint is just simple colours - FibreZone (HookR) can organise much more intricate paint schemes. I didn't know that Bonehead could do such fancy stuff, and on that I stand corrected .
  13. There's a thread on http://www.skysurfer.com.au/forums about various Aussie's experiences in Genting.
  14. The world contains way too many people that merely think they are naturals.
  15. I only have points on United - not much use for getting to Sydney from Perth, is it?
  16. Cookie and HookR both make excellent helmets. I've heard good things about Bonehead too. HookR can do funky paint jobs that, as far as I know, the other two can't. Cookie has a nice-looking cutaway system available.
  17. ltdiver states that they were told that USPA owned all video & stills. The SCM except you posted states that USPA owned all rights to commercial exploitation of event video & stills. There's a significant difference.
