    Acid Mesh

To add a little more detail: the fire retardant on the mesh caused damage to the rest of the canopy when it was packed up and lying on it.
  2. Team Mandarin (VRW 4-way) use Factory Divers. I've done a bunch of head-up & tracking jumps with my Z1.
  3. The Lutz AFF jump has to be the most-reposted thing on this site. So yeah, if you don't mind, I might just ignore you .
  4. They're pretty cool. Remember to pull the rear grommets down first, then the fronts, so front grommets hold the rears in place. If you forget it can get very flappy and distracting .
  5. Bullshit. Maybe they are at York (should I call Mossy and ask?), but they sure as hell aren't at every other DZ in the country. I can't remember a single novice at Picton whose first canopy off student status was loaded at 1.2. It's possible that a couple of the big (100kg+) boys were loading theirs at around that, but I wouldn't be putting money on it. No, people hook them in when the canopy is moving faster than they can think.
  6. A couple of reasons: - it's extra work - you can't embed the translation tables in the web page - they're too big. - last time I checked USPS wanted money for zip code address translation. None of those are deal-breakers, but they do mean that most sites don't do it automatically.
  7. I'd be very worried about you on a Diablo at 15 jumps. It's a very very aggressive canopy that dives like a bastard.
  8. Yes, me. Not interested right at the moment, though. Sorry.
  9. How come I havent heard of you cracking the world distance record yet ;) PS i think you may have the biggest VX, beating Tree's VX120 Nope. There's a VX 142 at Picton, Sydney, Australia.
  10. Complete, total, and utter bollocks. /computer engineer.
  11. Do a search on Tom Buchanan's name (tombuch here). He's written about the measures he's attempting to take.
  12. There's a hell of a lot of Talon FSs in Australia - they're also made here by Parachutes Australia. Nice rigs. I don't know anyone with any major issues with them... edit: apparently they also handle larger/smaller than spec canopies better than the Voodoo.
  13. A BMW 318i. From 1986. With 380,000+km on the clock. It gets me to and from the DZ & my girlfriend's place. All I need.
  14. You don't want a [wo]man to eat your fish?
  15. Should be fine. More RAM though.
  16. Picton normally wants 1000 jumps before allowing someone to get a TM rating. The APF minimum is 500.
  17. True. Not too many outside camera places left. At this stage, I'd have to say doubtful. Picton & Wollongong are both handcam. Not sure about Warnervale & Penrith, but they're smaller operations. Methinks you'll need a tandem rating or a job outside skydiving.
  18. Have you seen what's been happening to the executives of any firm even vaguely related to internet gambling? They're getting arrested when they pass through the USA, even if they no longer work for the firms concerned. There's no way in hell anyone is going to stick their neck out for you. Got a problem? Take it up with your elected representatives or move to another country.
  19. Hampstead or Hemel Hempstead? Two different places... Hampstead is fairly central. Hemel Hempstead is not. Where's your brother studying?
  20. ...and we're back in France for 2008!
