  1. Promise not to do what lisamarie did, and adulterate it with Kool-Aid, willya?
  2. Because maybe he lied to the officer and actually only pulled over once there was a hell of a lot of cars and he couldn't get away? It's up to the judge, not the police officer, to decide if he's lying or telling the truth.
  3. You're gonna be popular! In fact I feel an attack of the oops-I-need-instructions coming on right now . As for me: : 2 : 0 Sinus problems nuked my Saturday and a very big and damn fun Saturday night meant that Sunday was a little on the tender side.
  4. Not on a beach, but the Equinox boogie in Australia happens in mid-October. Lots of fun, and too much partying.
  5. ROFL! Just a small tube... It was in a drawer Maybe she thinks it was something you used with your ex, rather than with yourself?
  6. I get it in Australia, and personally I think it's worth it. Not every issue is amazing, but there's always a couple of good articles. These days there's a lot of coverage of BASE jumping.
  7. There are also two in the UK and another 2 in Europe. And two in Australia - at Nagambie and Picton.
  8. I haven't found it too hard, though I have found it to have one or two bugs.
  9. Cool. I seriously dislike packing with a split bag, though I do know some that like it.
  10. A rigger can sew the split shut in about five minutes...
  11. Yep. One of the funnier sights I've seen was a guy trying to pick a fight with a friend of mine. He kept pushing my mate, who had no intention of fighting him. In frustration, the guy stops, shouts "why won't you fight me?!", and storms off.
  12. I bet there's one test you haven't performed: seeing how well they withstand the rigors of USPS. I'm willing to sacrifice my time to the cause of better instrumentation, so if you put yours in an envelope and mail it to...
  13. The DHC-3 Otter and DHC-6 Twin Otter are two different aircraft. The DHC-3 is a single engine aircraft and was originally powered by a radial piston engine, hence Rob's reference to upgrading to a turbine.

It rocks. I saw it several years ago in London. If you get the chance, you've gotta go...
  15. Unless you're consistent in your pattern & setup point it's pretty much impossible to be consistent in your swoops. If you don't appreciate the importance of flying a good pattern, might I suggest picking up a copy of Brian Germain's The Parachute And It's Pilot? He explains it far better than I can.
  16. That actually sounds like a pretty cool assignment, if one that's probably impossible to perform correctly. Journalists have to summarise research all the time, and they often get the soundbite wrong. If you provide them with the soundbite they're likely to print that pretty much verbatim. Which can be handy.
  17. It's a hell of a lot better - there is no security in any of the 9x line and there's quite sophisticated options in NT/2K/XP. The problem with Windows security is that it wasn't really architected for dealing with untrusted executables.
  18. How about next time you're taking the kids to the DZ, you book her into a spa for the day? Then the time after that, invite her to come with you, pack a picnic, and you only do a couple of jumps. Spend time introducing her to your friends so she feels welcome and not an intruder. From some of your responses it sounds like your wife doesn't have a lot of friends in the area and might be feeling a little insecure and needy. Help her find things to enjoy outside of yourself and the kids and you'll all be the happier. This advice is worth just as much as you paid for it .
  19. Ours cost tens of thousands of dollars. They sure ain't cheap.
  20. Maybe you should stop shagging rottweilers then...
  21. Pity you can't spell. It should be "effect" .
