Then they should have to provide the supervision. If its too much to ask from your D licensed jumpers then you will have to find another way. Its really sad though they wouldn't help out. If I was asked to supervise a number of students with 9 jumps, I'd also decline. Why? Because I don't believe I know enough about their gear or what they need to know versus what's nice to know. That's why I'm in the middle of getting my RW tutor rating - so I can feel comfortable helping out those that're just off AFF.

In my limited experience, hybrids fall at 140-160mph, with 155-160mph being the most common. 20-way hybrids rock

Ah. When I went to their site, it hadn't been updated with the tease... -
That's being slack, mate. I was out the door at 06:30 to head to the DZ, and first load was wheels-up about 07:20.

You're joking, right? This article is just as appropriate today as it was four years ago. -

Are AADs required in (Your country here)
bob.dino replied to skypuppy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The DZSO (DZ Safety Officer) can make written exceptions for specific descents. -
I know plenty of folk that pack 'em both ways, though I don't know many who have them snivel for 1000ft. The 170 I did 50 jumps on opened in about 500ft with a bog-standard pro-pack. Good call on the upsize.

RMW Jumpsuits have a pretty decent designer.

Are AADs required in (Your country here)
bob.dino replied to skypuppy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Note: D = 200 jumps in Australia. An AAD is required until D licence, and between D & E (500 jumps), either an AAD or an RSL is required. -
Easy: go to DZ on Friday evening. Leave DZ on Sunday evening. Sorted.

How Do YOU Feel About The Possible Port Purchase and Why?
bob.dino replied to boinky's topic in Speakers Corner
It's not absolute. A country has to protect its borders/ports/airways. Then you're not "all for a free market". Sorry if this sounds overly pedantic, but I get really annoyed by Americans quoting chapter and verse about how free markets are the perfect solution. Except when it seems they might lose out. Then it's an incredibly quick volte-face to protectionism. cf steel, toyota. If I tarred you with an overly-broad brush, I apologise. -
Wow. Sounds great.

Glad you like it. Now go break your bed in.

Mine were -5.25 and -5.75, with a touch of astigmatism. Lasik rocks.
