i briefly said that i had told my grandparents in the BASE/Family thread, only because I live with them. i plan on sharing with the rest when the time is right, or if its brought up somehow, but other than that i don't see any reason to make a huge announcement about it. jason, i second that emotion. however i do believe its important to let folks close to you know whats going on in your life, whatever sport/hobby it may be. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

i just now told my grandparents that i've picked up BASE. since i live with them, its too difficult to hide it. they worry, but are cool with what i do. they would never come to watch, even if i asked them to, although they've been out to the dz a couple times. no other family members know... yet. but geez with the way everythings majorly hush hush about locations, i'm thinking some of the local BASE crowd would have a fit if i brought 'just anyone' along, including family. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

i see where you're coming from, but i don't think its the case all the time. for example if i had a sabre 150 as a first canopy (i'm out the door at 120 lbs), i'd be going backwards under 15 mph winds. maybe stress the idea of conservative flying at a 1:1 wingloading instead for the lightweight beginner? just an idea... but it always does come down to the particular individual ultimately. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

for the sake of argument i beg to differ... and that's exactly the jackass, "i'm #1" type comment that i cannot stand ... just had to vent for a second there. anywho, i don't need to explain myself, but i'm just gonna say i believe you're wrong. a couple of the odyssey riser cover problems i've come across need not be blamed on the rigger. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

I agree here. Not trying to knock Sunpath or anything, I think they make great containers, but on many of the Odyssey's I've come across, the riser covers flappin around is an issue. The tabs are definately long enough, but seemingly not wide enough to tuck well. _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
