See this is why I hate arguing with lawyers... Puts the ball back in my court AND puts the debate in a personal context. BTW I still think americans are ugly, fat and stupid! Good luck in California! Will

Look Clay, what's the problem? Every single one of those sheep was of a consenting age, (even the female ones).

Was this the same South African government where the state president refused to accept that HIV caused Aids? (he said there was no medical evidence). The same South African government that got taken to court by Aids activists because the government refused to give HIV-positive pregnant women AZT? Sorry sangiro, you make a good argument but you built your soapbox of very weak material in this case. Will PS btw it is very frustrating debating with HH in person, he uses logic and reason, I prefer shouting and swearing. (actually we were arguing about the USA, and I can tell you for a fact that he really loves that country)

I didn't wear an alti for my 8 SL jumps at Citrusdal. (admittedly this was in 1993, so maybe things have changed since then). I don't really see the point (although I'm sure Erno will see a couple...) - if the main mals you execute EPs immediately. We don't have to wear altis for hop n pop freefall jumps in the UK either (if you are Cat. 10). Will

Have you considered the SuperLet? The TurboLet has been mentioned elsewhere in this thread, but the SuperLet might be the plane you are looking for. It takes 25 jumpers, climbs friggin' quick and has a retractable undercarriage. It is similar in design to the TurboLet but has a 5 blade prop (Turbo has 3), wider fuselage and (naturally) bigger engine. I don't know the specs but I do know that in Sweden that thing had all 25 of us clinging on while it was climbing! Will

300 jumps since I bought mine and I'm still loving it!!

Sorry it took so long. Here are a couple of pics. The first one is of the back of the helmet showing the cutaway handle (swage). The second shows the loop over the kevlar cables. As you will see in the second pic both straps are on a single cutaway. Its simple and it works (yes I have tested it with strain on the helmet). They were happy for me to jump it at the Swedish Friflaj festival and you know how strict those Scandinavians can be! Will

Man, crowd going wild, chicks getting moist, free beer.... Some days your job really sucks, huh?
-
Careful or the killer bunny will get you!

I have both too (had the fastex, added Bonehead chincup). I also feel a helluva lot better having both straps. I do have both straps on a single cutaway system though (cutaway handle located on back of helmet). As promised to Erno I'll post pics of it (soon I swear). While I appreciate the need to be able to get the helmet off quickly in an emergency I also would hate to lose the helmet accidentally because a single strap broke or came loose. Will

Julie, you are using logic and reason, please stop... NOW!!!

As long as you beat your CYPRES!

And even if you hit the 0.025% jackpot, then whats to stop you getting retested if you KNOW you are clean? There are probably valid arguments against testing, but this isn't one.
-
Bill, say you were clean but were one of the 5% who failed the first test. You are then made to take the second test and are one of the 0.5% who fail that. Surely if you knew you were clean you could insist on taking the second test again? Fine, there is a 0.5% chance of failing that second test, but where does it say you can't insist on a retake if you _know_ you are clean? If necessary you could even have it done privately and then sue the hell out of your company for wrongful dismissal. Obviously your company knows this and would agree to a retest. Sorry, but I don't think your 0.5% argument is valid. Will

If you're doing 6 jumps a day filming FS (as mentioned in a previous post), how come you don't have time to pack for yourself? Did you try doing what Eric suggested? (ie pack while the team debriefs) Will

Wow, you managed one jump each weekend? Not many tandems then? Just kidding man! Congratulations! Tell you what, I'll be back at Hinton the first weekend in October, if you are there then, then I might buy you a beer... (maybe) Will

I've got both straps on my helmet (incl. Bonehead chincup with ratchets), I've got the following quick release system : A swage that clips onto two press-studs on the right back side of my helmet. This swage is attached to 2 short kevlar cables which are tucked under the edge of my helmet (I used some thread to make sure they stay tucked out of sight). I've replaced the nut and bolt (connecting the strap to the helmet) with a short closing loop (made of '1000 spectra line). The loop comes through the hole in the helmet and the two kevlar cables go through it. The other end of the loop is knotted with a little washer between the knot and the strap. The helmet strap is on the outside between the washer and the hole in the helmet. What I like about this simple system is that I only need one hand (both can reach the swage on the back of the helmet) to cutaway the helmet. Once that cutaway has been pulled and the cables have cleared the loop BOTH straps are no longer attached to the helmet on that side. If anyone is interested I can post pics of it tomorrow night. I like this system because it is simple, yet allows me to keep both straps for peace of mind. I copied this idea off Bob Spratley who gave me a lot of good advice. (sorry about the long explanation perhaps pics would be better) Will

Yeah, it cracks me up the way they drive their tanks into their own refugee camps. But oh, thats right, the Palestinians don't have any tanks..

Well, I personally know of people with less than 500 skydives who have jumped wingsuits at quite a few English DZs. Has the BPA relaxed their attitude? Do you only need CCI's approval and Birdman authorized instruction? Funny how the BPA jump number requirement for wingsuits is 500 yet it is only 200 for skysurfing. OK, so I am only bitching because I am 143 jumps short of 500... Will
