I happened to read this story about this girl who was paralysed and learnt to walk again. I think she must be an incredibly brave, strong, determined person. I want to be a better freeflyer, I want to earn more money, I want to travel the world, I want lots of things, but then you read about someone like this and it puts all your 'wants' into perspective. Amazing testament to the strength of the human will. Will

Remi, I agree (yep, treasure this moment ). When you get fucked over by a skydiving 'brother' it kind of puts things in perspective - you lose the rose-tinted glasses. Nobody will ever replace my real family, if everything goes to shit I know I can rely on them. Skydivers as a whole are a group of people that I share a very strong common interest with, not a mortgage.

To establish Turkey as an ally it would now appear that the USA will be taking action against the Kurds. Wasn't one of the reasons for the war what that horrible man Saddam did to the Kurds? Neither Iraq nor Turkey wanted to give the Kurds a homeland (especially since that homeland covering south eastern Turkey and northern Iraq included oil-fields). The USA considers the PKK terrorists - the PKK are fighting for a homeland for the Kurdish people. I find it really ironic that the USA will now be taking military action against the Kurds.
