  1. Thats right, and I would never troll, because I really like fat people who smoke and own guns! (Actually I can see that by annoying that combo I better forget about visiting the states anytime soon!) lol
  2. lol Wow Remi you made a funny, I'm impressed!
  3. Dude (where'd Mr. X go?) I mean really, can you just imagine Team Mad Cow "The British Bovines" in the wind-tunnel??? lol

    Any whuffos?

lol Actually Justin, I, umm, errr, have an *aquaintance* who appears to have a problem with a dead poodle - rigor mortis is NOT your friend!

    The Weekend

lol Actually it was kept quiet on the understanding that I get the beers in the end of next month (the xmas bash?). So patience, young Skywalker, the beer will be bought!

    Any whuffos?

    Accomplished? Guess again big boy......
  7. Yes, I've been in it and that (apart from natural athletic ability) is one of the reasons I am waaaay better than you at RW (also because of you being a chick and all...). But as for the wind-tunnel they MIGHT let you *ladies* in one at a time, but there is NO WAY that even two of you fat heffers are going to get in there at the same time! Hope this was of some help!

    The Weekend

Justin that is SOOO not true, but if the neighbours ever find out what happened to their missing poodle then I think I might be in a bit of trouble with the SPCA!!!!
  9. No, in the UK when you are new at a DZ you have to get a gear check along with your docs, they then make a note of your gear and it gets a DZ tag. Also if you downsize your main then you have to get your paper-work in manifest updated. If an instructor is not happy with your over-eager down-sizing they can refuse to allow you to jump there. I know in the states it is not a formalized procedure and it varies from DZ to DZ how strict they are. Will PS Gerald - even by Canadian standards Remi is exceptionally thick, I'm just surprized he hasn't been typing 'ay' at the end of every sentence!

    hey merrick

Hey JT, cut Merrick some slack! Its that time of month for him/her and he/she gets very touchy and emotional!
  11. Thats exactly the way I feel. I weigh 72kg (without gear), I'm loading my Hornet '150 at 1.18:1 and reckon I'll want another 200 jumps on this canopy (90 so far) before I switch to a smaller, elliptical jobbie. But yes, these guys are bullshitting (its what they do best).

    Spotting

Same in South Africa and also here in the UK. In the UK, you get briefed on the ground and then have to spot under supervision (its a requirement for your B license as well). Also, you spot at different altitudes (easy if there is a consol jumper getting out at say '6 000). I must say though that spotting a Cessna 206 at '3 000 and a turbine at '12 000 are not exactly the same thing. /s
  13. Hey Remi, lets go turn on the weather channel and see what Hurricane is heading towards Florida this week....
  14. You guys are a bunch of pussies! I'm going to skip the slider and just jump a wing-suit loaded at 200:1 - watch me surf a trench in the ground!! /s PS Phreezone I don't know how to tell you this, but Canopy Nazis are ALWAYS chicks - women get off on the whole 'well in MY experience...' and 'I TOLD you so...' thing. Hell I had one dumbass chick tell me that dickhead loads (low hop n pops) weren't safe and she was speaking from her 'many years in the sport'. I then found out the chick only has like 200 jumps - so I felt obliged to tell her that her lack of currency wasn't safe either. So anyway congrats on becoming CN#2 and good luck with the sex-change op!!!
  15. That is a really good article man - I apologize for questioning your record (but you better believe that we will be be breaking it at the next euro dz.com boogie!
  16. Thats no way to talk about your husband! /s PS now if your cat was all the way in with the lid on and one of the kids put that bucket in the microwave, now THAT would be most excellent! (score one for the dogs! )
  17. OK OK, I'll admit it, those pics are v. good and I wish I was multi-dimensional enough to be that good a photographer.

    The Weekend

4:1:2 Got my last briefing for my IC1, which means I (finally) qualify for my B license AND since I already have my FS1 it means I only need another 44 jumps to qualify for my C license (200 jumps in the UK). Made one sweet low lob today from '4 000 - I was so happy to jump again I started laughing my ass off in freefall (then remembered about that pulling bit). One of my mates has sorted me out a job, less money than before but it means I can keep jumping! (Oh, and the part between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon when I left for the DZ was pretty nice too! ) Life is good!
  19. Yep, and we don't have to skydive either for the next 5 months because the crappy weather gets even crappier - yay.....

    License plate

Man I bet that would make you and Merrick the coolest couple in your trailer park!!!
  21. I'd think that changing all the rubber bands at the end of the winter would probably be a good idea too - after that long lay-off they would probably dry out, lose their stretchiness and snap immediately, resulting in line-dump. Maybe it'd be worthwhile paying a bit extra at the end of the winter and get your rigger to check the entire rig (ie take out and inspect main as well) when he repacks the reserve for you. I know riggers charge roughly $12 for a pack job on the main, but it'd probably be worth it for your peace of mind. Will
  22. Is your friend, smkjmper that used to post here? The dude who alternated jobs between cargo handling in Antartica and smoke jumping for the Park Service? /s
  23. Uh, Phil, you got a scuba kit or at least a snorkel I could borrow mate?
