Been noticing lately how many skydivers with seriously serious jump numbers are now posting regularly in the forums. I know the numbers don't mean everything, but its still really good to have this many very experienced skydivers posting. The quality of the replies especially in the discipline forums is fcuking good! Obviously I check things out with the instructors at my DZ, but some of the stuff I read here really gets me thinking, shows me different perspectives etc. Of course some of the stuff I read here is really disturbing - some of you people have serious issues (both sexually and other), luckily I'm not like any of you.... Yep, and nobody's even mentioned wing-suits - somehow I suspect they'll always be the last ones out... "Don't die until you're dead"

1993 11 jumps (8 SL, 3 FF) December 2000(AFF) 163 jumps and counting since

Hi Newbie I would really recommend you get video on a couple of your jumps in Spain, this will go a far way to verifying your log-book etc. I did AFF in South Africa and then made 12 jumps in California. My last jump in South Africa was my AFF hop n pop graduation jump, so I had to do a check-out jump in California (basically an AFF level 7 jump) which was fair enough. On my return to the UK I then got my BPA A-license signed off without having to actually jump in the UK, ie I had already met all the requirements and had the video and document proof. You are in the same situation I was in - get video on a couple of jumps if you can afford it and phone a couple of DZs in the UK. Use tact though, people appreciate that the weather is shit here, but try and see it from their point of view as well. (ie don't expect them to tongue your bum because you did AFF abroad) Will "Don't die until you're dead"

Only if you're ambidextrous!

Huh? You mean you can actually buy inflatable *goods* that aren't sheep??? Really? Thats amazing!!!!

I believe I addressed that with As for a loose helmet chasing me out of the plane and knocking me out? Realistically I rate the chances of that happening as high as being knocked out by a bird strike. Not that you mentioned it, but anybody who is worried about not being able to pull because of fainting in freefall, shouldn't be jumping in the first place either. Will "Don't die until you're dead"

Shhhh, don't spoil it for everybody else!!! Anyway, I have my own theory on Sangiro's blonde *twin* (Dolly and her identically cloned sister Molly).....

Will you be doing your party trick with the torch and your truck's gas restrictor again??? Cool!!!

What is a "homo sapiens"??? "Don't die until you're dead"

Yeah, I hope the dude gets better soon. Anybody who still thinks skydiving isn't dangerous should just follow these forums for a while : pyke, merrick, dove, wildblue, quite a few regular posters have been hurt badly. Not a pleasant thought, but I suppose you just have to accept that if you jump long enough and hard enough the chances are that you will pick up an injury or two. Will "Don't die until you're dead"
-
OK, but since there is no chance of being knocked out in freefall, why turn the cypres on? Is it a security blanket or are you concerned about bumping your head on the exit? Or is it just habit to always jump with your cypres turned on? "Don't die until you're dead"

Now I understand why no DZ.commer in the UK has ever met HH - with FOUR identical boobies to play with the lucky bastard probably never leaves home!!!
-
The spot was good, I was happy with it when I exited - those winds picked up a helluva lot and that turbulence wasn't much fun either - good to know I still know how to PLF!! "Don't die until you're dead"

Frank, what is "hockey" and "canada"??? I have never heard of these strange things... "Don't die until you're dead"

This past weekend the two Cat. 8s on the load turned theirs on, the three Cat. 10 jumpers (self included) preferred to leave ours off - exit altitude was '3 500. If you were doing a low lob from say '2 200, would you turn your cypres on or not? If so, why so If not, why not etc. etc. Will "Don't die until you're dead"
